Wow! Perfect family getaway spot
The lava yay frame is such a great spot to stay if you want to explore Lava and the rest of Marsh Valley. We spent time in Pocatello, Lava, and Arimo and this was conveniently located to a highway which made it easy to get places. The house is well-furnished with anything you might want during a fun retreat. The kitchen wanted for nothing: there was a crockpot, plenty of dishes, pans, and a griddle, the knives were sharp, and the fridge was a nice size for all the meals of our three night stay. The stove and oven worked perfectly. All the bathrooms were functional, updated, and clean. The living spaces had plenty of seating, but also space for the kids to play on the floor. The beds were comfortable and inviting. The furniture is sturdy and in good repair. The house, while definitely older, is well-maintained, and feels inviting and homey. Holly was super quick to communicate when we had questions. The kids adored watching and feeding the llamas and alpacas. The house is far away from all neighbors, so there was no worry that the kids squeals would annoy others. Several trains go through McCammon on the other side of the highway, and several of the little boys had great fun counting the numbers of cars on each one. We could definitely hear the trains and sometimes the road, but it wasn’t loud or annoying. Overall, we all had a blast. In the words of the five-year-old, “I don’t want to leave here. I want to come back again soon, ok?”
