We were pleased with our accommodation and the resort overall. The outdoor area of our luxury pool villa was particularly good, with comfortable seating and shade throughout the day. Positives: Quality of breakfast very high - good variety and freshly made crepes and omelette station Staff service overall very good Gym and tennis courts, table-tennis easy to use and gym staff particularly helpful. Beachside service including complementary water. There was launch party/exhibition for the new Artist in Residence, great fun! A few minor negatives: Housekeeping were thorough but they appeared to do just one job at a time eg one team did bed linen, while another replaced water and yet another cleaned the poolside. If you were looking to have private time in the villa, multiple visits from staff may detract from this. In contrast to our experience in Jumeirah hotels in Dubai, we felt our HB package limited us somewhat in our meal choices and the supplements were expensive, as was the wine. One one occasion all but one of the wines under £60 was sold out. If I went back I'd go B&B and eat at Maradiva and various hotels or in town -taxis cheap and easily available.
Absolutely gorgeous place. We have been there several times and we really enjoy this hotel. The villa with the private pool is great. We prefer the garden villa rather than the beach villa for more privacy. Food at the restaurant is excellent and service is very good. For all hotels I have seen in Mauritius, I really recommend this one, specially on couple.
The Maradiva is a tranquil place with beautiful gardens and a stunning beachfront. Staff are professional, friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and of great variety. Service is impeccable. It’s the perfect hotel for a getaway holiday.
We stayed 5 nights here for honeymoon purposes, and had a lovely time. The positives: Villa - spacious, nice dipping pool (not heated as some reviews point out, but do you want a heated pool in the weather?!), good aircon and lovely bathroom with a separate outdoor shower when coming from the beach. Beach - easy access from all villas, nice and quiet on a natural lagoon. Clean and comfortable, with lots of shade if you are as pale as me! Spa - it was lovely, we had a couples treatment and my wife had another separate one, lovely setting with another pool, sauna, steam room and plunge pool all included in your stay at the hotel, attentive staff and quality massages. Boat house: Free to use non-powered gear. Good selection of trips. Gym - nice trainers, spacious and plenty of gear, bikes for taking out and tennis, heavy bag and ping pong. Restaurants - 3 to choose from. Quality wise Cilantro=Teppanyaki>Coast to Coast. If you are on half board you get a good meal without having to supplement. The menu in C2C is too extensive to guarantee top quality. Breakfast is buffet fare. We had in room breakfast and a Raj tent dinner - both lovely Bar - nice selection of tasty cocktails. Staff - really helpful, know who you are on site which was nice. All levels from front of house to management approachable and helpful. General vibe: Really relaxed and personal despite actually being quite big (does not feel it) Lots of lovely birds. Wifi: It's the modern world so I'll comment on this - it's good. Things to note (verging on Negatives): -drinks have a 400-500% markup for most things, the wine is silly! There is a shop in Flic en Flac - I'd get some stuff there and store in the room fridge! -Taxis outside of hotels really take the mick, or try to. You can bargain them down but it still feels like they are trying to rob you Thanks for a great stay!
Love it perfect place for relaxation, fun and romance staff are so friendly and respectful and big thanks to Nadia the receptionist and Alexander the bar tender. You will never regret visiting this place. the villas are amazing with the privet pool and outdoor shower. Loooove it and dor sure i will visit it again.
My husband and I stayed at Maradiva for our honeymoon, it was peaceful, quiet and we had a really relaxing time. The service was excellent. We had a couple's massage at their spa and it was amazing. Definitely reccommend,
It was a wonderful trip ,, I really enjoyed in this hotel every thing was a nice starting from employees& place , my kids loved the pool which was warmed . Sure I will go again there Only price was much expensive
Came for a visit, treated like royalty. Nothing was too much for the staff. World class food, although they had run out of mint flavour for Shisha it was still acceptable. Taken on an exploration of the resort to showcase all available amenities.
Been to this resort 3 times, and everytime to celebrate special occasions like birthdays or special days.. and I can say that this time again we have been fully satisfied of the service, surroundings and food . Staff is always very helpful and pleasant. The villa as always intimate and relaxing. The private plunge pool is such a plus . And as I did before, I will again request that the private pool be heated so that at night also we can enjoy it. Maradiva has become our haven for special occasions, we are looking forward to spend time there again this year.
VERY SHORT REVIEW to explain how fantastic this place is. The massages are from another planet and the people are lovely. We were exceptionally well looked after (from chauffeur driven rides in golf carts to our rooms after long days of fun) to being allowed SOLE access to the entire spa and heated outdoor pool it was magical. The breakfasts (and waffle bar) are brilliant. I even suggested this place to my best friend for his honeymoon and he and his wife loved it.
