Excellent stay and service from the management and staff of Labourdonnais Waterfront. Great location if you’re conducting business - equally good if you want to spend a few days in Port Louis with the family... Excellent work Kerry and Deechund for making us feel very comfortable with our stay!
My husband surprised me for the special day with a day package at the hotel which ended by a dinner at the Yuzu restaurant. The package started at 10 am and ends, according to the lady at the reception, whenever we're done dining at the restaurant. She said since we're dining at the hotel itself, we can take our stuff out after dinner. So that's what we did. During the day, we just relaxed in the comfortable standard room that we got, with a beautiful sea view. We ordered room service. Lunch was delicious - the crab soup especially. We made reservation for dinner at 6.30 pm. So we left our stuff in the room itself and went down to the restaurant. The staff there was very attentive and warm. The special Valentine's menu was superb. We just had our starters served to us. We were loving all of this, until a man came to us at our table and started questioning us. He was wearing a dark suit and he was of dark complexion. He did not greet us. He did not excuse himself for interrupting our dinner. He did not present himself. He was just like, "Are you Mr. .. ?" to my husband. When my husband said yes, he just told us that we should had already vacated the room. We were very surprised by this. My husband explained that in the morning, the lady there said we can vacate after we're done with dinner. He replied with, "What's her name?". We did not pay attention to that at that time. If ever we knew that we would even have this type of ridiculous issue at a hotel like LWH, we would have taken a diary and noted down every single name of every single staff member there that we encounter. So the stranger man asked for a description and confirmed that it was a lady itself who told us this. My husband asked if we should go now and take our things out. The man just said "no" and left! Again, no apologies, no "Au revoir" and no "Bon appetit"! This soured our mood totally and even though we tried to enjoy the rest of our meal, it was difficult. I was very upset. So when we were done, we just went back to the room and took our stuff and went down at the reception for payment. Our taxi was already here, so we left very quickly. I think this hotel deserves a 5* for the rooms with sea view and the restaurant, however, the service is also crucial. If that man (who we don't even know the identity) had some manners trained into him, we would not have even minded that the receptionist made such a mistake. So there it is, a 3* for a ruined special day and what could otherwise have been an enjoyable dinner.
Lovely hotel with gorgeous rooms, great service with really good staff. Breakfast is really good, nice relaxed breakfast area and great selection of fresh food. I love this hotel and I would be happy to come back.

Not cheap, but very comfortable and with very helpful staff. Food very good too - try the seafood casserole. A good position also. Better than its sister hotel across the harbour. If we were back in Port Louis we would return.

The hotel is well positioned as a business hotel. All the necessary facilities , fast Wifi , and a great restaurant. I have stayed hear a number of times and staff are really friendly and helpful. The hotel has stood the test of time and the rooms will be needing a refresh .
The hotel is located in Port Louis, ideal for business travellers and those who would like to explore attractions in Port Louis. Front staffs were helpful, although very slow in responding to our inquiries. Good spread for breakfast. Dinner was hit and miss. Main issues he had with the hotel were room cleanliness. They apparently have a very low housekeeping standards. I understand the reason behind not changing towels everyday, however the used towels we left on the bathroom floor as it were very wet or stained were not changed but magically appear back on the rack. We saw cockroaches twice near the desk in the room. Upon reporting the incident, the housekeeping manager looked surprised and apologized. First time he sent the housekeeper up to " clean" the room. That was first time in 4 nights that our room get vacuumed. The second time we saw the animal, as it was our last night at the hotel, we received an apology and a bottle of house ( not drinkable) wine. I seriously think one shouldn't be rating themselves as a five stars hotel when with an international standard t would be rated at around 3 stars.
We stayed for business at this hotel for 3 nights and after 1 night we extended the stay 1 more night but they forgot to register it and they was sold out TOTALLY they said...so we had to move to a sister hotel when the last day came up, this was a circus 🙈🙄 if they just told me to book true booking.com then that has rooms, but unfortunately we first found out too late. The staff at the hotel was excellent and helpful to the perfect specially the nice girl Lojini was always aware of our needs 🍀🙏
