I absolutely love this place. This was our third stay at the Prince Maurice and it continues to impress. The hotel offers exceptional service and attention to detail, luxurious accommodation and superb restaurants and dining options. The food is excellent, from the delicious breakfast & beach snacks, to the ala carte dining in the three restaurants. The Barachois is a delightful floating restaurant offering a wide and varied menu. The Asian restaurant is located by the pool and offers sushi & dim sum at lunch time and a wider menu in the evenings. L'archipel is the main 'hotel' restaurant and its has an extensive menu offering local dishes, special dishes which can be pre-ordered, items from a grill (great if you fancy some simple yet delicious fish & vegetables or meat etc) or something from the daily changing seasonal menu. These three outlets ensure you can enjoy different food each day and the quality in all three restaurants is superb. We often used the Room Service for our children's dinner. They would have a lovely dinner on the balcony of the suite. Food was always prompt and well prepared, and they were always happy to pop back with dessert at a later time. The hotel kids club offering is excellent, it has the usual kids pool, trampoline, games etc, in addition there are daily activities, excursions and experiences, along with a reliable and professional babysitting service. The kids enjoyed water sports, making pizzas, visiting and learning about the wine cellar, hair braiding, manicures, golf, archery, swimming, beach BBQ and cinema nights etc. Its open from 9am to 9pm. The pool team Kiran, Souky & Heness ensure you can relax in ultimate comfort around the stunning infinity pool. They are brilliant with the whole family and the kids adore them. The hotel has one of the most magnificent wine cellars. Tastings with the fabulous head sommelier Jerome are not to be missed. His passion, knowledge and enthusiasm coupled with exquisite, delicious and interesting wines make for a very memorable experience. The wine list in the restaurants is extensive and exciting, Jerome and his team are always on hand with some excellent recommendations. There are two championship golf courses to choose from if golf is your thing. I loose my husband & father each morning as they alternate playing between the two courses. There is a delightful spa, tennis courts, and gym, along with a lap pool too. Christmas Eve & New Years Eve are serious occasions at the Prince Maurice. The team turn up the heat and really go all out ensuring the occasions are extra special. Hotel Manager Stephen is always on hand, very warm and welcoming and happy to assist in any way possible to ensure you have an excellent stay. We will be back!
The 5 stars goes to the staff and the management of Prince Maurice. There are many luxurious 5 star seaside resorts around the World and on Mauritius but only very few offers a truly friendly and impeccable service no matter when and who in the very large staff you meet. It is an all suite hotel with a nice private atmosphere and the rooms are large. The three restaurants offer very fine cuisine that caters to everyones taste. Nice pools, beaches and plenty of waterports activities, a very good spa, fitness room and free access to two golf courses of international standard. Families with children seemed to enjoy themselves very much. So 5 stars on all counts, however, if you dream of waking up inthe morning and looking out over the endless ocean this is not he plce. The view is good but not stunning.
Susie Freeman Travel arrange our stay at LPM. From the minute we landed we realised how special this travel operator is. Start by being swept away to the Yu Lounge at the airport, then whisked away to this very special hotel. Live in luxury in a beautiful junior suite and play tennis, golf (with a buggy) all in, eat in one of three delightful restaurants (the floating restaurant in the mangrove is an experience I recommend) drink wine from a cellar that stocks all the best from the Northern and Southern Hemisphere, enjoy a spa that is there to relax old bones and rejuvenate tired bodies, sail on the hobies, snorkel, swim sunbathe, and read. Heavenly hotel, what and experience! Use Susie Freeman Travel if you got to Mauritius, they really know how to ensure you have the best of times.
Wonderful Experience. Beautiful Hotel. We loved the food at Archipel, Barachois, Asian Restaurant, which was superb. The Team Members very caring and professional. From arrival till we left, everything was perfect.
Being in Mauritius for the first time, I definitely have no idea what to expect when deciding to come here. But when I came to Constance Prince Maurice, the welcome instantly felt like home. Priya came to welcome me from the drop off point, and after a long flight, it was definitely something I needed. Imtiaz, the Guest Relations staff at that time, was professional and empathetic to my arrival, as I had arrived at night and was quite hungry. The design of the lobby is very well done; symmetrically perfect. They offered me dinner at the Archipel restaurant, which I did. It was busy at that time, but the service was still top notch and the food itself was delicious. And the room was a plus point, being so cosy, big and had a nice view of the lagoon; it was nice to sit on the balcony and have a cup of tea I also enjoyed their USpa facilities; did a 60 minutes massage with them; and the whole place was so serene with a picturesque view to look at; it definitely elevated my whole experience with them. To be very honest, Constance Prince Maurice is easily going under my Top 3 favourite hotels to stay in; mainly for all the staff's attention to detail and them being very professional; answering any queries I had about the resort. and the island. Almost everywhere I went, they addressed me by my name, and that is something you cannot experience at every place. I only stayed for 2 nights, but it is definitely not enough! Having stayed at so many hotels, I cannot help but start recommending this resort to my friends and everyone who is coming to Mauritius, because it is so worth it!
Everything is done in Prince Maurice to allow a perfect stress free holiday...from the arrival onward we felt like in paradise. The food is excellent. The exceptional (multinational) wine list is a highlight. Jointly with the expertise of the sommeliers we always found the best wine-food harmony and tasted some superb vines that we did not know before!
We have visited Mauritius several times, but never before stayed at a hotel like the Prince Maurice. Everything was so perfect and friendly, the restaurants, bars, the rooms, the beaches. Plenty of space everywhere. The staff were so professional and friendly. We really enjoyed the stay, and will definitely come back as soon as possible.
My husband and I have just returned from an eight day stay at Le Prince Maurice. It is without a doubt one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Extremely comfortable, quiet, the service is second to none, beautiful location, delicious food in thoughtfully designed restaurants. The gardens are beautiful and kept that way by a team of gardeners who are up and working at crack of dawn to sweep all the pathways etc. before the guests get up. There are two swimming pools with plenty of comfortable sunloungers. Also many places to sit in the gardens and on the beach. The pool/beach service was always helpful and speedy. We played golf five times on the nearby Links course - this is a beautiful and quite challenging course - also available is the Legend course although we did not try that one. There is a regular shuttle service to the golf club, all transport, green fees, loan of clubs and buggies are included in the hotel price which is a great benefit for golfers. We could not recommend this hotel more highly and hope to return next year.
I spent such a relaxing and lovely stay at this top five star hotel. One of the best place to go if you are looking for break away from the hustle of the city life. My room was looking over a beautiful tropical lush garden and an appealing pool. I could also see the beach and hear the sound of the sea from my room. So relaxing! The all team was very caring with us and the food was excellent. Breakfast is amazing , so much choice and I recommend to reserve a table at le Barachois restaurant! Not to be missed!
Beautiful hotel in one of the most beautiful location in Mauritius but most importantly the service was amazing! Completely on point, the staff was very caring and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.
