Beautiful property. Staff very welcoming and will do everything they can to make your stay excellent. On site restaurants are excellent. Water sports available. Beach is well kept. Will definitely be back.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency for 4 nights and mostly enjoyed the hotel. We were a family of 4 (kids 14, 11). The hotel didn’t seem “full”, even with it being our March Break. We were always able to get 4 pool loungers (before 7am). We would suggest booking your reservations for onsite dinners as soon as possible. However there are amazing restaurants which you can walk to along the beach toward/ at Whalers Village. Nice shops, shaved ice, and service at the hotel. Our Expedia booking included buffet breakfast (highly recommend). We also paid for access to Regency Club which offers extra snacks, drinks, meals at different times throughout the day. We didn’t feel this extra cost was worth it. At other hotels there was ample availability throughout the day. Here, only certain hours. We often still had to buy snacks from the pool restaurant and convenience store between meal times. The gym was one of the best we’ve used. We ate at the steakhouse; “Son’z” (our only reso onsite) and although good, we didn’t think it was amazing. The penguin area is under repair so the penguins were only there for our last morning. We were also incorrectly charged for towels on our last day so be sure to check for that when checking out. They removed the charge without issue. We didn’t have hot water for showers 1 morning, and our curtains couldn’t be closed but overall, we really liked the property, beach and stay.

We loved this property. It was nice and fun. The only reason it gets 4 stars is the nickel and diming. When we checked out we were charged an additional $75 a day because of resort fee and self parking. We also tried to use the concierge to book a tee time at the golf course right outside but she was very rude and we seemed to bother her, she did direct us online because it was cheaper but she was very rude. Also when booking a time and I asked the questions she only looked at my husband not me even though we both golf and I asked the question. Also if you’re doing excursions like whale watching or snorkeling near the ocean center it’s about a 30 minute drive in the morning and an hour drive back in the evening (traffic) so the breakfast package isn’t worth it since you miss the buffet doing that and end up going to Starbucks any way. Also you HAVE to tip $15 at the buffet in the morning even if you do the breakfast package, it’s all sent to your room and they give you a bill strictly for tip. It’s a $40 buffet each and it’s good but it’s quite a shock to get a bill for something you already paid for just for the tip. I would include it in the price and pay your staff more cause it’s unsettling. It is a beautiful resort, the golf course is amazing, the food is great and there are fun animals, shopping and things to do right there. Everything else was great. We would stay there again. Just FYI

Pleased with room condition, comfortable bed. Updated. Pool very nice. Beach out front was rocky, not good for wading. Travel up the beach either way to get to a spot where good beach walk into the water. Good restaurants nearby.

The hotel is old and dated, the pictures look a lot nicer than the hotel really is. The walls are paper thin. You can hear your neighbors conversations and get woken up every morning by children screaming in the atrium because of the funnel shape of the hotel and how sound travels up…didn’t have a single night of proper rest which was brutal. The food at the hotel is overpriced and not very good. Location wise it’s pretty isolated, there isn’t much around and everything is closed after 8pm. The staff however were lovely and helpful. Overall if you’re a couple looking for a relaxing romantic vacation don’t come here.

Nice pool but mainly just 1 big one and a kids one. Beach not great for swimming, given the very shallow coral close to edge, further up the beach at some of the other resorts beach gets much nicer. very expensive food options. beautiful birds, some great views from rooms, not a ton of activities
