Horrible treatment from front desk. Stay away from this place!

Room was great. On the other hand the pool was like a bath tub. Beach fine. Lots of aged people. Great place for quiteness. Away from the attraction.

We have been to Maui and stayed at the Aston Kaanapali Villas every time we have visited. It has been 10 yrs since our last visit and the upgrades were fantastic. We would describe it as old school...not all of the hype, overdone and overcrowding we saw at the other places. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms clean and provided amenities like full kitchens so we could have our own beverages, cereal, bagels, sandwiches , etc. Both pools were nice, quiet and plenty of seating vs compact like the other hotels. Chairs by the ocean had a wonderful view of Lanai and Molokai and of course the whales. Drinks at Castaway Cafe were fantastic and bar staff were great. Food was pretty good and daily specials. You are within walking distance to a lot of hotels and their restaurants or take the free shuttle. Great boardwalk along the water to stroll or jog each day. We cannot wait to return.

The room was very nice and we enjoyed eating at the hotel restaurant. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. we had wonderful views of the ocean and neighboring islands.

The headboard was old, chipped and dirty. The carpet was filthy. Our garden view room was more like a parking lot view room. You cannot bring drinks from the Castaway restaurant into the resort. During happy hour, you cannot get discounted drinks at the pool; however, you can get discounted food. Spend the extra money and stay at the Westin or Hyatt!!

Good price overall. However, the balcony is not private if you're looking for privacy and in our room and the bathroom was situated right in front of the sleeping area which meant if someone got up during the night the light would shine bright new eyes

Quite comfortable room, Pool was very nice, the beach was even better, do not forget your mask and snorkel.

We were very pleased with the hotel and the location. While in Maui we took several trips , one helicopter trip around the island was great. In Lahina the shoe BURNING LOVE was a very great evening. Very relaxed 9 days

It was a nice clean hotel with great staff. It is dated and lack amenities. Room was nice. Wi-Fi was simply awful.

We loved this hotel. We had a 1 BR suite (although the bedroom wasn't separated/enclosed, it's a loft area) for us and our teenage boys. The pools were well kept and it was right on the beach. We did a ton of sight seeing, so our hotel time was limited, but the kitchen was pretty much fully equipped, they had full size gas grills to use to cook meals, and compared to the prices of local places, was one of the least expensive around. Talk about a bang for the buck. The only 'negative' is that we did find a mouse in the kitchen one afternoon however the staff immediately came over and addressed it quickly. If I were to ever make it to Maui again, I wouldn't consider checking out any other hotel.

The moment we got to our room we loved it. The beach is beautiful and the pools where awesome. I would stay there again

Great location, close to Lahaina town. Wonderful beach. We went in Feb. during whale season... loved watching the humpbacks breaching!

Excellent location right on the beach. Very helpful staff. Room had all the amenities and comforts of home. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The balcony is 2 foot wide which really makes it useless except for drying out clothes. Do not stay in room 520 as the bed sagged bad in the middle my back was really sore by the end of the week. Nice beach...there is no beach accessories in the room for you to use such as at least a beach chair. These can be rented on the beach at the hotel. Good location, close to Front St. where the shops are.

This is the best hotel in Maui in my opinion. Not too crowded, perfect Kaanapali beach, close to Lahaina, beachwalk, shops. On-site restaurant is pretty good too.

All the other hotels in the area are twice the price. This is a great hotel with a full kitchen, dishes, a sponge, & even dish soap. Cups, glasses, a full size coffee maker, full sized stove & refrigerator. 2 pools & jacuzzi's. 2 minute walk to the beach from even the furtherest room. Nice lanai. Like renting a full apartment with a maid. I walked over to the Sheraton & it's crazy crowded, and expensive. The beach isn't crowded in front of this place. Older people stay here but that's a good thing. No kids around. I'm 36, stayed with a girl, & it was great for adults who wanna drink and bone. Stay up!

The staff at this resort is so nice and the location is the best on Kaanapali. Best stretch of beach for swimmers in front of the hotels and excellent snorkeling just 100 ft down the beach (better than Blackrock). The grounds are lovely and serene. This is one of the only hotels where you can see the beach from the beach chairs on the property. The rooms all include kitchens and are a great value. It's a condo hotel so each unit has it's own character (and some need some updating) but overall you always get excellent and free wireless connection, cable, and amenities.

Avoid the crowds at the big resorts and stay in a well equipped condo in a garden setting. We stayed in a first floor unit in coconut block. Balcony overlooking the smaller pool. Great staff, good kitchen facilities, free wifi, short walk to great beach with coral, turtles and lots of marine life.

They offered us an upgrade and we ended on a studio. The room was amazing, big, nicely decorated, lot of light. The laundry for guests big and good operating hours. Pool nice and good open hours. Recommended!

Just got back from a 7 day stay at the MKV! We LOVE this place for a million reasons, location!! 10 minutes by car to Lahaina, 20 minutes on foot to Whalers Shopping Village, 10 minutes on foot to the best snorkelling in front of another set of more pricey vacation rentals, short walk to Dukes restaurant, and literally footsteps away from property's own Castaway Cafe. This is our 4th stay here and you cannot ask for a cleaner, up to date, friendly condo set up!! Its not fancy and new but the staff is helpful, friendly, and treat you like family in a good way! The largest units you can rent are 2 bedrooms that sleep 6. We stayed in a studio garden that was just a nice! Fully equipped kitchen, large fridge, dishwasher!! Laundry facilities are on site and it is coin operated but so worth it!!
