We love that it is within walking distance of several resorts, all with excellent restaurants, that it sits next door to a lovely outdoor shopping mall and that the beach is steps away.
The room was outdated, the bathroom needed work. But the room was very clean and the staff was nice and accommodating. The view from our room was gorgeous and the amenities were worth it. Would definitely stay here again.

Aston at the Whaler an excellent property for relaxation, ocean views, and well being. The rooms are well maintained and clean. Thankful to the owners for their sharing and upkeep. We have stayed at the Whaler more than once, and have enjoyed every time.
This is a really great location on Maui. The place is very low key and relaxing with free parking as well.

Loved how close restaurants were from the resort. Very pleased with my room and the view is stunning. Will make sure to make use of the grill next time around. The staff was also very nice and helpful. Loved my stay so much!!!

The staff is what makes this hotel shine. Friendly, so helpful and nice. Did not meet an unhappy person the entire 2 weeks. They went out of their way to anticipate our needs. Property does not have a bar or restaurant but there are lots within walking distance along with shops and activities. You can snorkle right from the beach of the hotel as well as at Black Rock!
Very large floor plan. Walk right on to one of the best beaches in the world. The property is meticulously groomed and cleaned. The staff is very attentive.

A security pool man made my whole vacation to the point of me having minor seizures. The guard started talking about his religion and how Abortions are bad and should not happen. He said there would be a child kicking and moving and how could you do that. Wouldn't stop. Told the management. Security chief wrote a report that I have a brain tumor and a headache. I told him I have a brain injury and stress causes me Seizures. When told about the seizures he wanted to talk to my wife. Took her in by herself to question her. Friends at the pool every summer calls him a cop. The front hotel management lied to me. Didn't use your company for the report. Asked for the room to be comped since our vacation was horrible. The management stated that we needed to notify you, so we are following through. From the stress of the pool person telling me his opinion about abortion, my brain overworked itself to the point of my passing out on the steps going in from the pool to the hotel. I have loose wiring that malfunctions due to stress and my medications assist me, but because the incident caused me excessive stress, my body gave out. My wife found me on the stairs. The hotel does not appear to have an accurate description of the incident, even though we were both interviewed. We are asking for you to contact the hotel, so reimbursement arrangement can be made to use asap.

The Whaler did an excellent job of accommodations on a beautiful beach. We walked to snorkeling, walked to dinners, sunsets and shopping. Plenty of transport available for excursions or other parts of the island.
