We had an amazing week at La Taillade. The house is perfectly equipped for anything you may need during your stay. The rooms were big, clean and comfortable, the kitchen was very practical and the outsides were beautiful. It's a perfect house for a big group, we'd love to come back for another stay!

Fantastic property in a beautiful location with everything you could need for a large family gathering. We had a wonderful week that flew by and we are now missing the views across the countryside from the terrace and that superb swimming pool.

Our three generation family of 10 with ages from 8 to 80 were amazed by everything at La Taillade. Having rented a number of holiday homes over the years this the best by far in every aspect. The owners have ensured that anything you might need for a stay is available and to a high standard. We loved it all and are planning to return in 2026.

Fabulous house for all ages

We had an amazing stay! We were 3 families with small children (age 7months - 7 years). The bedrooms were spacious enough to allow us to have our own space, whilst also being able to enjoy the many communal spaces inside and outside the property. Everything has been thought of in this luxury house, with plenty of space and everything you could need in the kitchen (an absolute bugbear of mine with rental houses). Instructions were really clear for finding the house and getting in, even in the dark. The house manager nearby was responsive and helped us with a few queries throughout our stay. The pool and hot tub area is fab, and well set up for families of all ages. The depth of the pool meant that it was also suitable for less confident (adult) swimmers to use the whole pool. There is lots of land around the house so we went exploring with the kids a couple of times, picked some damsons from the tree for dinner. Even saw some deer! We went out to a few local towns to explore, all with lots to do and good restaurants. Lots of recommendations from Parul and Andrew in the info book for a variety of different options nearby. A couple of well-stocked supermarkets and bakeries were a short drive away; we had no trouble purchasing the bits we needed for our stay.

Large and luxurious country house for a relaxing family holiday

We have just returned from a week's stay at La Taillade. We were a group of three couples with four young children (aged 3 and below). Andrew was very responsive in the weeks before our stay to ensure that the cots, high chairs and stair gates we requested were all in place. The house itself is fabulously well equipped. Lots of good quality kitchenware, a great BBQ, garden games and indoor games for the kids. The pool and hot tub area is really well done and very modern, which is where we spent a lot of time. The pool is deep enough but has no 'deep end' which worked very well for swimming with kids. The house is also well set up for families - three large, well-appointed bedrooms and a family bathroom on the 1st floor (including a huge bath), which worked well for the parents. Then the top floor has 4 additional bedrooms which would be great for anyone but worked well for the children in our case. All rooms have AC which was really welcome on the hotter days and the bedding and towels provided were all very good quality and comfy. The immediate area is very rural, which is clear from the listing and information that Andrew sent through. However, they have some great recommendations for things to do in the vicinity. We would suggest visiting some of the local vineyards that they mention in the welcome pack, walks through the sunflower fields were also gorgeous. I could go on and on... we would happily return, a week is too short!

Beautiful house in idyllic setting

We thoroughly recommend La Taillade, having just spent a most enjoyable fortnight there. The house is very handsome, offering complete rural privacy at the end of a driveway through sunflower fields. The views beyond the house over the valley below are gorgeous. Both kids and adults happily hung out in the lovely saltwater pool and the hot tub, where the terraces have been generously equipped for lounging in comfort. In fact, generosity is the hallmark of hosts Andrew and Parul's approach to provisioning the entire house and grounds: everything is well-equipped, with a lot of thought given to maximising guests' comfort and enjoyment, including table tennis table, giant Jenga set, boules court and numerous boxed games. Housekeeper Victoria had everything looking beautiful for our arrival and was responsive to questions during our stay. La Taillade is well placed for fun excursions of a historic, gastronomic and sporting nature, but we also just enjoyed going for daily walks along the lovely country lanes and wooded paths surrounding the property.
