Un lugar muy, muy tranquilo y acogedor.
Se pueden visitar algunas aldeas en los alrededores como: Castelo de Vide, Marvao o Valencia de Alcantara.
Es indispensable tener auto propio o alquilado.

Refugium in einer der schönsten Landstriche Portugals
Wir waren Ende Februar hier; da konnte es nachts recht kühl werden. Schön, dass es einen Kaminofen mit kostenlosem Heizholz gab und die Klimaanlage im Notfall auch heizte.
Jedes Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein eigenes Bad - man kann für größere Gruppen auch Wohnungen verbinden. Unsere Wohnung ("Landhaus") hatte eine gut ausgestattete Küche mit vorgelagerter, überdachter Veranda, von der man einen herrlichen Blick auf den Garten und die Umgebung bis zur Burg von Marvao hatte.
Sehr angenehm war auch der kostenlose Brötchenservice jeden Morgen!
Gegenüber der kleinen Ferienwohnungs-Anlage erstrahlt der stillgelegte, liebevoll restaurierte Bahnhof von Beira, von dem am Nachmittag Draisinen-Fahrten auf dem nicht mehr benutzten Bahngleis Richtung Umgebung starten. Diese Umgebung ist als Kulturlandschaft einfach phantastisch: Inmitten zahlloser riesiger Granitbrocken liegen abgelegene Gehöfte zwischen Korkeichen; die unglaubliche Stille der Region erklärt sich auch aus der schieren Unmöglichkeit, hier große Landwirtschafts-Maschinen einzusetzen, so dass zwischen den Granitblöcken hauptsächlich extensive Weidewirtschaft (Rinder, Schafe) betrieben wird. Das, und die Haine aus Kork- und Steineichen, bedingen eine reiche Vogelwelt - selbst wir Laien konnten Geier, Falken, Iberienraubwürger, Wiedehopfe und Kernbeißer entdecken!
Noch etwas: Nachts kann man hier einen funkelnden Sternenhimmel fern störender Lichtquellen bewundern!
Alles in allem eine Region, die wir unbedingt nochmal besuchen wollen.

Casa muito bem decorada, limpa e com todas as comodidades necessárias a umas pequenas férias.
O espaço exterior está muito bem cuidado, e a piscina - tanque fez as delícias dos pequenos.
Voltaremos concerteza, até porque devido às elevadas temperaturas que se fizeram sentir, não podemos explorar convenientemente a região.
