I stopped in here for lunch before I could get on board my sailboat. I had flown in on a red eye from the west coast so needless to say I was jet lagged and needed a place to relax. I returned again on my last day, before my flight out, and hung out at the restaurant and on the beach.

We visited this resort in February. We had to find a hotel at the last minute due to boat problems. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The grounds were very pretty with a calm swimable beach. The restaurant was a little pricey but that is the Abacos! We had a direct water view from our room. There were restaurants near by that were in walking distance.

What a run down property. Nothing has been done to up date or maintain this property in years. I wouldn't pay $70 a night for it let alone over $300. My husband took a shower last night before going out for dinner. It's now after 9 am and the shower has not yet drained. The staff at the pool bar could not care less that you walked up for a drink. It took a half hour to get our first drink. I know we are on island time but dang, on top of it the drink was so dang weak it was ridiculous. And it wasn't just the first drink but the second as well. My feet are black from the slick greasy room floor (obviously sunscreen). Seriously the most expensive place on the island is a dump.

Rooms are overpriced. I see some other reviews indicating dirty feet, this is a understatement! My feet were black and I had to wear shoes in the room at all times even after a shower. Called and let them know and waited 30 minutes for someone to come clean the floors and had someone show up with a squeegee and a spray bottle to clean. I just told them to forget about it. Other than dirty floors, the views were great and the people were very nice. I would have just expected them to offer us something for the inconvenience of having such dirty floors and they did not bother.

Everyone was very friendly and the room was clean. The restaurant food was good but fairly expensive. Walking distance to lots of places. (Shops and restaurants) Nothing really negative to say just not exactly a resort in my opinion.

Was forced to spend a night here after a canceled flight from Silver Air. Small, overpriced room. Our bare feet were black after walking around only a few minutes in the room. There were two dead bugs in the bathroom. Saw a fight in the bar between two "yacht families". Front desk wouldn't help us out at all with a reduced rate, $415 with tax for their smallest room. Annoying end to our vacation.

Everything in our room worked. Fridge, air conditioner, tv, coffee maker, etc and beds were good. Bar had good drinks. Fine for us, but walking barefoot on room floor leaves you with dirty soles. Grounds were cluttered w tree droppings. Charging 2.50 for Kirkland brand water seemed a bit tacky, too. Lobed the convrnience to the fowntown restaurants and the Marina since we were there to fish and eat, and woulf come back again. By stateside standards this would get a 3 but by Bahama standards it is at least a 4.

You have to remember that you’re in the Bahamas. I’ve been coming to this country since the 70’s and I have to remind myself of the time that you could only call the States 10 minutes per hour because of the shared microwave network. Abaco Beach is just ok. Rooms are very dated and although I set the ac to 68, the room never got cooler than 74. Bars and restaurants were fine with very good service. My biggest issue was the internet. Rarely worked, on my first day I called the front desk the said a tech team would address it. I gave up, realizing that I’d catch up with the world on my return to the States.

We just finished a two night stay at the marina. It was our first visit here and we enjoyed it very much. The highlight though was the restaurant. The first night we ate there with 4 people and the meal was excellent so we brought the rest of our group of seven back the following night and everyone loved it. The chef is top notch! He accommodated all our special requests perfectly:). Best of the best - pistachio encrusted grouper, lobster bites and smashed potatoes. Very friendly staff and excellent service.

I read reviews on here and just roll my eyes...NOBODY should be rating this hotel a 5 star. Now a “conditional” 5 star comparing this property to other’s available in the area, yeah I get that...but if you have ever stayed in anything nicer than a Hampton Inn you would be giving this “resort” a 3 at best. Why? First of all it is VERY dated and uninspiring (mostly the building/rooms/pools)...my floor was soooo disgustingly dirty that I had to wear flip flops my entire stay. The bathroom was old and had rust stains in the tub, missing caulk and old fixtures. There was a glass table with a chair that belonged in a living room corner not at a dining room table. The room was musty and smelled WORSE after turning on the air conditioning...which actually worked very well, kept the room cool. The fix was AC all the way up and open the patio door (it was March so the temperatures outside were a perfect 72 degrees F). It’s not all horrible...the location to food and drinks...perfect. The staff was terrific and friendly. The grounds, beach, pool bar and dockside area were VERY nice...so, YES stay here but do NOT rate this a 5 star, come on people.
