Excelllent stay at Canal View

We had an excellent stay at Canal View. The house is very nice and clean, counts with all the amenities, fully equipped and decorated with care. Wi Fi worked perfectly. Adrian and Ann-Marie are very friendly hosts. Highly recommeded.

Great stay at a beautiful gite. James was extremely informative and helpful but discreet also. We used the pool everyday and this was always clean and tidy. Fascinating being so close to the canal and the lock. Fab week at a fab location. Highly recommend

Great location. Lovely gite with pool and enjoyed watching the boats go through the lock. Well equipped gite. Good central location for local sights.Visit to Minerve is a must. James helped organise bike hire which was great with two wonderful routes all on GPS.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit am Canal du Midi. Das Haus ist sehr schön, gut ausgestattet, die Nachbarschaft mit den Vermieter*innen funktioniert sehr gut. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, man kann aber ebenfalls in bis zu einer (guten) Stunde schöne Städte und Dörfer und den Strand erreichen. Und der Canal hat für uns eine besondere Stimmung. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert.

Leuke gîte, prachtig groot zwembad, altijd proper en goed onderhouden. Zeer vriendelijke gastheer en vrouw. Tof welkom met een fes rosé en voldoende ijsblokjes, zodat je onmiddellijk een gekoeld drankje kan maken. Mooi uitzicht op de canal du midi en het sas recht tegenover de gîte. Een aanrader

We had a wonderful stay at Canal View. The location & view are amazing. It was great to be able to relax outside & watch the boats on the canal.Sam & James were very respectful of guests privacy but were available when needed. We enjoyed their freshly cooked pizza which was offered on a couple of evenings during our stay. Sam & James provided or offered many additional items e.g. cool box & ice blocks for picnics useful for those travelling by plane. It was very hot during our stay & fans are in both bedrooms although we were told they intend to upgrade to air conditioning in the future.One very minor issue is that neither the toilet or bathroom have locks on the doors.

Wonderful location

An excellent week. It was very comfortable and the location is great to explore local Minervois villages, Carcassonne and further afield Narbonne. We enjoyed watching the boats go through the lock. Beautiful gite right on Canal du Midi

Lovely gite, well equipped and spacious, inside and out. Great views from the house over Marseillette canal lock and distant Black Mountains. Supermarkets close by in next village. Friendly owners who will respect your privacy but are on hand for any help required. Thank you James and Sam.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Lage des Hauses direkt an der Schleuse mit zT Blick ins weite Land hat uns sehr gefallen. Wir haben von hier aus verschiedene Radtouren entlang des Canal du Midi geplant Das gîte ist sauber und gut ausgestattet. Samantha und James, gerade erst aus UK emigriert, sind aufmerksame und freundliche Gastgeber, denen ich von Herzen einen guten Start in ihrem neuen Leben in Frankreich wünsche.Barbara

Beautiful unit on the shores of canal du midi. Good bedding, great kitchen, great location for multiple area visits. Quiet as can be. Wonderful walks on the side ofcthe canal. Just missed having English channels available but for sure Sam and James will correct. We were their first guests

Just beautiful!

This is a magnificent place to stay, right next to the canal du midi with beautiful walks out the front door. The hosts are wonderful, really friendly and helpful. The gite was well equipped and served us so well for a month stay. Highly recommended.

Comfortable, well presented property with kind hosts

A comfortable, well presented property with lovely views of the Canal du Midi. It is ideally located for visits to Carcassonne, Cabrespine cave, lovely old French villages and wine tasting. Unfortunately, there was a strong wind during our stay so barbeques were not possible, however, the kitchen was well equipped to cook inside. Ann-Marie and Adrian were knowledgeable and kind hosts. We warmly recommend this property.

Fabulous Spot in superb location

What a beautiful property and so nicely located right on a lock of the Canal du Midi. The property is clean, very comfortable and the hosts are extremely welcoming, but entirely discreet. Cannot recommend staying here highly enough.

Comfort by the Canal

Our hosts offered us a comfortable and relaxing spot from which to explore the region. Each day we experienced an adventure and then returned for a swim and an evening meal on the patio. Adrian and Anne Marie were very helpful with suggestions to explore. Thank you 😊

Wunderschön

Wir hatten zwei tolle und erholsame Wochen in diesem wunderschönen Haus bei Carcassone. Der Pool war herrlich bei 40 Grad im Schatten und wir konnten trotz der Hitze beeindruckende Ausflüge machen. Besonders Carcassone war sehr schön. Ann-Marie und Adrian sind sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber und uns hat es rundum an nichts gefehlt. In ihrem sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtete Häuschen haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und empfehlen "Canal view" gerne weiter.

Ein wundervoller Aufenthalt in einem wunderschönen Cottage direkt am Canal du Midi! Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und liebevoll dekoriert. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, wenn man viel und gerne kocht. Unsere Gastgeber hätten besser nicht sein können. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Perfect family stay

Lovely holiday at Marseillette! The village itself is quiet and has not much to offer, but the location is great if you fancy a quiet and comfortable getaway to explore the region from! Carcassonne is only 20 minutes away, and lots of other things to explore (astonishing caves, great villages, hiking in canyons, kayaking, and cycling along the canal du midi. And don’t forget to taste wines from the region. The gite itself offers all you need, with BBQing with canal / lock view and the great pool and trampoline as a big bonus for the kids. Even end of April the pool was warm enough for a swim. Adrian and Ann Marie are great hosts. Accessible and friendly, though very respectful of your privacy. Thanks again!

Peaceful and picturesque
