We have chose this hotel according to the photos in their website, but what we got when arrived - we haven't seen in our dreams. So bad, dirty and ugly rooms we haven't seen before. We do not recommend this place to anybody.
The room was ill equipped. The kitchenette had hardly any utensils for cooking. It had no WiFi and apparently when it does it is no longer free of charge. The cleanliness was the worst I have experienced. The moment you take your shoes of you can feel the dirt and grit embedding into your feet. Do not be deceived by the pictures on the website as it appears the standard it was by what it is now has deteriorated. And bring an iron to press your clothes.
This hotel is so bad, not clean ..... Horrible I book 1 room for 1 couple and I have 2 bed ..... Why ? I don't know ! But please if you would like a cheap and good hotel don't book that... Many other place
We were looking for a cheap hotel in Marseille because we were going to spend few hours until our flight there. But we didn't expect to see that. The photos that the hotel shows are acceptable and they make you think that the bedrooms are okay, but they aren't. The bedroom smelled of cigarettes and it was unclean. However it is cheap it must to be clean.
Admittedly, I was searching for an inexpensive hotel within walking distance of the Marseille airport. With both Ibis hotels full, and the Pullman too expensive, I settled on Park & Suites Confort. It's not possible to walk there safely, but they advertise a shuttle. The van does not belong to this hotel, but the P & S has the ability to call a van that is associated with a nearby hotel. Beware, the hours of the van are restricted to the hours during which the hotel desk is open. That is to say, 5am to 10am, and 5pm to 10pm. By 10am you must exit the hotel. So you had better check your itinerary, or like me, you may spend hours in the airport waiting for the hotel to open so they can call the van and let you into your room. No, you can not call the van yourself. And no, you can not check into the hotel between 10am and 5pm. When I did enter my room, it was depressingly dreary. Minimal furnishings, well-worn mattress, and the second bed was only a sagging cot. The "kitchen" was not equipped for anything other than heating up prepared food. The view was of a chain-link fence. On the positive side, it was clean, except for the mould on the caulk in the shower, it was quiet, the desk person was personable, and I was able to depart early in the morning. Oh yes, it was cheap.
The first impression is not good, since entrance is done through the parking lot. But despite some problems with the internet, registration did not take too long. Room was comfortable for the purpose. Walking distance to eating facilities. Good installations. But the best feature is the transfer facility to the airport
the hotel shuttle bus is limited by 5 am to 10 am and from 5 pm to 10 pm. if you arrive outside these times, as has happened to me you have to get a taxi at their own expense, same thing for check in if you arrive outside their hours of work you have to do the check in electronically with various codes to open gates and doors, IStaff day following only one person (very nice thankfully) staff that tries to sends back everything, im practice the 'hotel has no staff, clean rooms but very unadorned and unwelcoming, bed ok, bathroom ok, breakfast sufficient but sipped unfortunately I do not recommend.
Stayed here for one night as early morning flight: Positives: - shuttle bus met us at the airport from airport bus - also got us back to the airport in time for our flight and was on time. - bed comfortable (although squeaked whenever I turned) Negatives: - no cups to make tea or coffee even though there was a kettle - only one glass (not much use in a double room) - room was very tired and basic - no wi-fi available In summary it did for one night but I'd not stay here again there are lots of other hotels in the area.
To start with the positives, it was easy to find and the water was hot. We booked for three adults and were given a single room/kitchenette with a double bed. When we returned to reception to ask if we could have an additional bed as we did not want to all cram into one bed, the receptionist checked the booking and gave us a different room. This one did not have any coverings on the beds and we had to ask three times for some bedding. The first time I asked she said that it was a warm night and we did not need sheets. On the third occasion the receptionist went to the linen cupboard and handed me two double sheets. There was no attempt to make the beds up, although she had promised that she would get housekeeping to do it. The walls were were dirty grey with white paint patches, the kitchen equipment was old, mismatched and very basic. The beds were uncomfortable and the curtains did not fit so the light outside the window kept me awake. The shower was disgusting, with black mould growing up the tiles. The vending machine had sandwiches, but did not work. We decided to return the hire car to the airport depot the night before our flight. We were told by the receptionist that we had to arrange the shuttle back to Park Suites for ourselves, refusing to help although I explained that we were having problems with our phone. The car hire receptionist was very kind (Budget) and arranged the shuttle for us from her office. On the way back to the Park Suites the driver asked if we were booked for the morning shuttle to the airport, we had arranged this with the receptionist at the Park Suites but apparently she had not passed the message on to them and we were not listed. The driver added us to his list while he was driving. In the morning they were 10 minutes late picking us up and given the confusion from the night before we were anxious! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone - unless they were desperate.
We thought that we have found a great alternative for a overnight stay next to MRS airport when Pullman was fully booked. Unfortunately we did not check the reviews before booking. We needed a dog friendly hotel with shuttle service and when we arrived 3.30pm we learned that the hotel is closed until 4pm..but answered the phone 4.20 pm and the shuttles service is starting at 5pm... the service line taking out of office hour calls did not speak english and could not help at all. Got an new number where you could leave a message to have a return call in english. They never called back..Finally we took 2 taxis and have to pay 30 Euro to fit in dog, and luggages. The cabs nomally do not take short distance csutomers. At the Hotell we ahd to pay 2 Euro to get a WIFI (actually a box you have to install) and finally it did not work any way. Hotel room was not att all up to standard compared to Web site. Luckily a great dinner at Golden Tulip next doors improved the day and the shuttle this morning to the airport.
