We have been guest at this riad several times since 2011. The heartly welcome and service from all of the staff, in particular Jamila and Sana who we have known all these years, gives a feeling of comming home. It's a small hotel where guest lives close, eigther in the dining room, the salong, patio or terrace. Outdoor breakfast, a dip in the splash pool on the rooftop with a cold drink offers relaxation from an otherwise hectic city. The same goes for the hamam. The backstreet is quite but still close to museums, centre and several carparking spots. The breaksfast is outstanding; dark bread, fresh-made fruit marmelade with litle sugar, fresh backery, cut fruite and naturel yoghurt, juice and real coffee. The lunch and dinner is highly recommended. We hope to see you again soon.

Riad Alegria was the best possible choice for our holiday in Marrakech. Our stay was sweet also thanks to the wonderful staff that takes care of it, especially Chris, the manager: she is the best at granting all of your wishes. The chaos and dust outdoor vanishes once you take the alley that brings to Alegria. The location is very convenient: next to Mellah and the Kasbah, walking distance from the main square Jemaa el-Fna (which is good because that is a too crowded area). The patio is pure beauty, the ideal place to chill next to the fire during winter or far from the heat during summer. It is made up of only 6 suites. They serve a rich and yummie breakfast, included in the price and they are superflexible regarding time (once we had it at 12!). We also had dinner and we enjoyed it a lot (the cook is great and it's good value for money: dining in the Riad is to be tried at least once, to get away from the messy Medina). During spring/summer you can enjoy a wonderful terrace to chill with a nice view: even if it was January we could have our aperò up there! Rooms are well furnished and they stick to the traditional moroccan style with airco and tv. Our bed was soft enough and we enjoyed the bathroomwith both a bath tub and a comfy walk-in shower. The Hammam is cheap (20€ Hammam + gommage, 20€ for a 1-hour massage) and the lady that gives the gommage and massages is very good at doing it... it was so damn relaxing and budget (outside Hammams for tourist may cost two or three times that amount). We will definitely come back!

Spent 2 nights at his wonderful Riad in a prime location. On arrival met by Chris ( manager) who couldn't have been kinder and was extremely helpful. She and her team catered for our every need even down to planning our first evening meal dealing with my gluten allergy, without making a fuss about it. Beautiful meal on the roof terrace which we had all to ourselves. I can't recommend this Riad highly enough. If you want to feel like a family member then stay here. Absolutely excellent. Clean, comfortable and in a prime location. Thanks for a superb stay.

Arriving late at night I was slightly concerned when the taxi stopped and we were led down an alley way to the Riad. Fears were allayed as we stepped into a beautiful Riad with garden and sitting area. Greeted by candles, mint tea and biscuits. Taken to our room, it did not disappoint. Clean, air conditioned and bottled water. Breakfast was beautifully presented with variety of fruit, pancakes, chocolate cake and an assortment of preserves. The manager spoke excellent English and took time to share her local knowledge regarding taxis, cost of journeys, what to see and armed with maps we set off for a fulfilling day of sightseeing. On our final evening we were recommended somewhere to eat and a member of staff walked with us to the Riad where we enjoyed a fabulous meal. Highly recommend this Riad.

We arrived after 2200 hours and were greeted cordially and offered Moroccan mint tea and biscuits in the traditional relaxed setting. Our suite was clean and comfortable with efficient air conditioning and good wifi connectivity, and appropriate reminders about water quality and shortage. Bottled water was on the table for our immediate use. After a delightful Moroccan breakfast the Riad manager, gave us enough information and bearings on a map to optimise the time of our limited first time visit to the city. The steps lead to a roof terrace, with shaded seatingand overlooked by nesting storks. The owner recommended a fantastic boutique Riad for an evening meal nearby, to celebrate our friend's birthday, arranged the reservation and walked with us to ensure we were introduced to the manager. There are taxis and a currency exchange within a couple of minutes walk. Great customer service and good value from all at the Hotel Riad Alegria.

One of the best stays I have had in my extensive travels. The riad is beautiful, spacious and clean. Good wifi and facilities. Great location: 10 min walk from Djemaa el Fna and even closer to Bahia palace, Saadian tombs and other south Medina attractions. Close to a market and cafes. What really makes it stand out, though, is the professionalism and manner of the staff. We had been Whatsapping with the manager prior to arrival and were impressed with how flexible and helpful she was. On arrival, her welcome was exemplary and friendly. Everyone went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and to cater to every little whim: small things like frequent (free!) mint tea/coffee; cutting up fruits that we bought from the market and serving them nicely; setting up home-made breakfasts (included) and dinner (extra) on the rooftop. If I ever visit again, or if anyone I know comes, I'd strongly recommend staying here.

My sister and I spent 3 wonderful days in Marrekesh at the beginning of March. From the moment we arrived at Riad Alegria Christalle, the manager was ready to give us advice, answers questions and orientate us around the area; nothing was too much trouble. We had a huge room on the ground floor but the roof top was the star attraction. It looks over the old palace walls where stocks are nesting and you can see the Altas mountains in the distance. There is plenty of room to eat and relax in the sunshine. My massage on- site was heavenly. The riad is well situated, within walking distance of a few places of interest and a 10 minute walk to Jemma el Fna.

We had a very nice time in riad Alegria in the heart of old Marrakech. The Place is beautifully maroccan style and the manager Cristalle and staff absolutely fantastic. We had the chance to meet the owners when we arrived, very welcoming people. If Marrakech is on your wish list we strongly reccomand to stay at Riad Alegria!! Mans & Francesca

We had a truly amazing stay at Riad Alegria. It was my birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable. I absolutely loved it and I will definitely recommend having a special homemade food at the Riad Alegria. Please opt in for the spa experience and is truly blissful. The raid is simply beautiful and reflect a true authentic Moroccan stay. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Spent a week between the end of December and beginning of January with my wife in Riad Alegria and had a blast. The Riad is situated in a super location, 3 min walk from the Jewish quarter, the Palais Bahia and less than 10 min from Jamal El Fna square. Rooms are really nice, spacious, clean with huge bathrooms the central part of he Riad is really nice and there is a small pool/pond on the rooftop with sunbeds where you can birdwatch or just relax in a quiet sunny spot Staff was amazingly friendly, with Christelle at reception, the super Nordine and the lovely ladies cleaning the room and/or cooking delicious meals. If you have a night free, make sure to book dinner in the Riad as this is probably the best Moroccan dinner we had in the week, in house cooked Tagines with a good bottle of wine for a very good price. We had a massage, this is another thing you need to book as you will find your robe and slippers ready in your room before the treatment, great attention. Breakfast is perfect and served in the patio , even late for the non early risers. We felt welcome in this Riad and will definitely come back Great value for money as well.
