The hotel is too far from Marrakesh for business

The first night was a nightmare since there was nobody in the hotel to receive us. After two trips of 18 kilometers (one way) from Marrakech to the hotel, we finally gave up and booked ourselves for the night in Marrakech. Two expensive telephone calls to Expedia offices in the USA did not help because they could not reach the hotel staff on telephone. In addition, we were threatened that we would loose all the money we paid for 2 rooms for 19 nights because of a non-refund policy. Luckily, the following day, we found a telephone number that was answered and they picked us up in town in the afternoon. The hotel lacked front desk staff most of the days and internet in the rooms was not available for 15 out of the 18 nights I spent at the hotel. Except for these hitches, the overall experience was okay.

Relaxing on the outskirts of the city

Riad Diamant le Zaraba is a bit out of the way--half an hour from the train station or airport, and almost just as far from the medina where many visitors to Marrakech like to spend time and sightsee. But if you have access to transportation--or your more interested in relaxing, and lounging by the pool than jumping into the bustle of the city--this riad is a great option. Large, immaculate, well-kept, and excellent, attentive service from Abdou Radwane and the staff

Als wir im Hotel ankamen hatten sie unsere Reservierung nicht erhalten. Wir mussten ca 2 Stunden teure telefonate führen. Wir mussten die Summe vor Ort noch einmal bez und E-bookers erstattete unser Geld zurück. Die Zimmer waren kaum Gereinigt, böden gar nicht, im Badezimmer waren weder Handtücher noch wc papier. Als wir reklamieren wollten war während Stunden NIEMAND im Hotel. Wir waren auch die ganze Zeit die einzigen Gäste. Zum Nachtessen konnten wir am ersten Abend nicht dort essen weil die Köchin frei hatte. Die Inhaberin (eine Französin) war kalt, uninteressier und schon gar nicht gastfreundlich. Sie war kaum da und wenn ja, dann gab sie sich keine Mühe. In der Nacht bellten die fünf Hunde (die einzigen die auch im Hotel waren) so dass wir kaum schlafen konnten. Am zweiten Abend bekamen wir kalte Spaghettis serviert ohne Getränke (weil die Köchin frei hatte und der Reseptionist uns diese in der Mikrowelle aufwärmte). Der Reseptionist, Ahmed, bemühte sich auch gar nicht. Am zweiten morgen war die Köchin nicht gekommen weil es regnete so dass wir kein richtiges Früstück erhielten (eingetlich im Preis inbegriffen). Wir waren froh als wir gingen und bereuten das ausgegebene Geld! Die Hotelanlage wäre schön, doch der Service ist solch eine Katastrophe so das ich allen dringend abrate dieses Hotel zu reservieren!!!!
