Just spent 2 nights at this hotel, and already planning to go back. It's exceptional in every way. The local is stunning. The rooms and the building are gorgeous and full of incredible antiques. The grounds of the property are out of a magazine. The food was the best I had anywhere in the Country. The staff were beyond perfect. Massive heater pool AND huge outdoor heated jacuzzi. Some of the kindest and friendliest people I've ever met. This is one of those hotels that people dream of going to, and hopefully make it once in their life. It was a dream come true for me, and I'll be back for more! It's WOW WOW WOW.
This place is really special! We spent two nights there and I wish we had stayed longer! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and you feel like you are in somebody’s home rather than in a hotel. Service is friendly and attentive yet very discreet. The staff go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and to customize any request. The food is really good and the attention to detail and the design are just outstanding. The pool area is the main attraction here, with great views that will make you want to spend all day there! A very, very magical place...
The hotel is very picturesque, the gardens are lovely and the view of the Atlas Mountains is very impressive. This was our second visit and we felt their standards had slipped a little. At the prices charged there was too many wrinkles. The rooms are nice but the Berber Tents are the best place to stay. There are a number of local attractions. The mule trek is very worthwhile and if you are happy for a 2 hour drive, the trip to the old mosque is well worthwhile. The food is good but not outstanding, again for a place playing in this league it needs to improve. The service generally friendly and attentive but delivery is sometimes lacking. If you want a place to stay close to the Atlas Mountains this is it, but it is no 'Four Seasons'.
One day excursion from marrakech. Owned by Richard Branson this hotel is a dream luxury retreat with a view on an old 3rd century and on the other side on the snowed mountains! A nice boutique and hiking scenery. Just rest and chill. The fantastic bar restaurant terrace offers an interesting choice and everything was excellent. In the traditional Berbere kitchen in the garden they prepare a flat bread called tanourt which is a must with their choice of cheese. On the way there we stopped at the La source du tapis for handmade berbere rugs (about 40km from marrakech). Actually we all had the best food of our stay there.
Location in the Atlas Mountains is great and gives plenty of opportunity to explore the Berber way of life. Less than an hour from Marrakech. Hotel decor and facilities are exceptional. The room we had was so comfy; we wanted for nothing. Views over the mountains at breakfast, lunch and dinner, especially with the sunset, are beautiful. Service is second to none and staff are all friendly and helpful and can’t do enough for you. We visited during Ramadan and 40+ temperatures and still service was superb all day. Food is first class. So relaxing by the pool and wandering in the grounds. What a place to chill. Do visit the Eve Branson Foundation. Well done Sir Richard and Virgin.
We celebrated my birthday over lunch at this beautiful Oasis in the Atlas mountains, the decor and surroundings were amazing. I would definitely like to return to stay over. Well done Sir Richard Branson.
This is Richard Branson's "hideaway" outside of Marrakech. I wanted to check it out as I'm a fan of Mr. Branson and it seemed like a fun thing to do and a great way to escape the Marrakech heat. I'd read that the food was excellent, and various other positive things. Though I enjoyed myself there, I did not find that the food was special at all. I also felt like the service was strange in that they seemed more interested in my happiness for potential tips than for any other reason. It was subtle but palpable. I was taken on a tour of the grounds and rooms, which I appreciated, but, again, I felt that pressure whereas at first it just felt like a kind thing for them to do. I' The decor is "interesting"... Some of the details were pretty but others were downright tacky. I'm not sorry I went, as I would have otherwise been extremely curious, but I've been to so many gorgeous properties in Morocco, and eaten such amazing food... This just wasn't all that exceptional.
Amazing palace at 45mn to Marrakech to Imlil town. Calm, quite so far and so closed to Marrakech. This place is owned by Richard Brandon. If you have a fortune....stay there during few days. Otherwise have a drink and a snack....unforgettable !
loved the trek out to Kashab Tamadot. the arrival and stay were super. the property and rooms are amazing. views of the atlas mountains, valley and Berber village were super. loved the service and friendly staff.
Kasbah Tamadot is an amazing luxury property! Absolutely phenomenal! The property, the wonderful staff (made up of mostly Berbers), the food, the guides, EVERYTHING! And the views of the Atlas Mountains! I left a review for another hotel in the desert and realized I never left one for Tamadot. My brother and his partner came here 10 years ago and raved about it. They travel a lot and said it was one of the best places they had been. I had been wanting to come for years and finally last year I convinced a few friends to join me. The four of us stayed here for 3 nights. The rooms are splendidly decorated and very comfortable. There is lots to do on the property - we only went on guided hikes in the mountains on 2 days while stayed on the grounds the other 2 enjoying the amenities. The staff will arrange everything for you from the guided hikes, to your transportation, to your packed lunches, everything! There are a couple of pools and since the property doesn't have many rooms, we didn't feel like the pool area was crowded when other guests were there. There is a tennis court (astroturf not clay) and in the evenings after dinner we would play ping pong or play chess/backgammon/cards while sitting outside admiring the beautiful views in the moonlight. The chef was awesome and never disappointed! This is a pricey place but very worth it. As someone who often prefers to travel solo, I am very glad I came with friends. I recommend you come with your significant other or friends because it is so stunning and there are so many things to do that usually it is more fun to do them with others. This is also a very romantic place (we witnessed really cool things the staff would do for honeymoon or anniversary couples). We came in late spring 2018. We have already booked our fall 2019 trip and very much looking forward to it!
