Trip to Marrakesh with friends

Loved this riad! First time in Marrakesh so no idea what to expect. The location was great - a quiet neighbourhood but full of character and not too far to walk into the mayhem of the central medina. The rooms were all gorgeous and the rooftop a peaceful oasis - we enjoyed the hot tub too. Mostapha was an absolute gentleman and couldn't be more helpful. Zakia made a delicious breakfast and it was great to be looked after like this. I would highly recommend this riad, and may well return one day!

Il est également très bien situé, à la fois proche des points d''intérêt de Marrakech et au calme. Un séjour des plus agréables au coeur de la médina avec de bons petits plats locaux sur commande, dépaysement et découvertes culinaires comme culturelles sont bien au rendez vous ! "Ce fut un séjour extraordinaire. Dans un premier temps, l''organisation et la logistique se font d''une façon efficace et sécuritaire avec Monsieur G. Les courriels qu''il nous transmet avant notre départ sont complets et débordent d''informations fort pertinentes. Le Ryad est très propre, confortable et correspondait à ce qui était présenté. Radijah la cuisinière est extraordinaire et ses repas sont succulents et meilleurs qu''aux restaurants. Elle nous a même enseigné des mots en arabe. Mustapha est aussi d''une aide précieuse entre autre pour réserver des expéditions. Bref, un magnifique séjour à Marrakech avec un ryad où on se sentait bien."

"La casa está en muy buen estado, limpia, con todo el equipamiento en perfectas condiciones, la decoración típica hace la estadía muy especial, todo ha sido como lo han ofrecido. La comida de la Sra Jadilla ha sido buenisima, recomendable cien por cien. El único inconveniente es la ubicación de la casa, un poco lejos de la plaza principal y de la mezquita, si se tiene la intensión de estar todo el día en la calle visitando sitios, y luego volver a un buen sitio a descansar está perfecta. "We are a family of 6, pa...

"We are a family of 6, parents and 4 grown up children, who stayed for 10 days at Dar Essattatia at the end of august-beginning of september 2010. The house offered everything the website promised. The riad is conveniently situated in the heart of the medina. So you can get a close look at everyday life in Marrakesh. We explored the old city and made 1 excursion to the Ourika Valley, which was really nice and a bit cooler than Marrakesh (thanks to the information the owner sent us after signing up).Mustapha organised the driver and possible places of interest. Khadija is a wonderful cook. We really appreciated her Moroccan dishes and breakfasts. All the more so when you know that we stayed there at the time of the Ramadan. We certainly would recommend this house to our friends. Greetings from the Luxembourg party."

"1er séjour au Maroc pour nous et quelle joie d'avoir commencé ce voyage en séjournant dans le riad de Philippe. D'abord par sa situation géographique: dans la médina, mais excentré des quartiers plus effervescents. Bab tarsouk, le quartier du riad permet de souffler et de saisir la vie des habitants de Marrakech. Mais surtout pour la grande qualité de prestation offerte par l'équipe de Dar Essatatia, l'hospitalité,la gentillesse, l'humour et les talents de cuisinière inoubliables de Khadija, le professionalisme de Mostapha, et la grande beauté du riad, parfaitement décoré et intégré au quartier. Nous n'oublierons jamais toutes ces soirées passées sur la terrasse, le bonheur total. Philippe, mille et mille fois merci, c'est certain nous reviendrons!"

"Bab Tarzhout... un quart...

"Bab Tarzhout... un quartier typique de la Médina, ici, on est au Maroc, pas dans la "nouvelle France". Ce quartier est vrai, les enfants jouent et nous saluent. Nous apprenons à nous repérer parmi toutes les petites échoppes, à trouver notre chemin, à éviter les mobylettes au son des klaxons ! La journée, on découvre les palais, on admire les architectures. Dans les jardins, on respire les odeurs de fleurs d'oranger. Parfois, on s'évade de Marrakech, retrouver le silence, profiter des superbes paysages de l'Atlas mais toujours lorsque le soir on rentre "chez nous", on aime retrouver Rhadija, sa gentillesse et sa délicieuse cuisine. N'oublions pas Mostapha qui nous a toujours très bien conseillé. Merci à eux 2 pour leur accueil et leur disponibilité. Merci au propriétaire pour le dossier très complet qu'il nous a envoyé à la réservation. Longue vie au Dar Essattatia ! La famille du "petit fromage blanc" locataires du 20 au 27 mars 2010, très belle semaine ensoleillée"

"Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour au Riad. L'endroit est un havre de paix, charmant, confortable et très bien situé. Khadija nous a chouchouté et nous a concocté des repas excellents ! "L'alloggio è dotato di grande charme e curato nei minimi particolari. La presenza e la disponibilità di due persone (una delle quali parlante un buon inglese) offre grande tranquillità in un ambiente che, al turista europeo meno smaliziato, può inizialmente dare qualche ansia. L'unica nota negativa (ma fa parte della suggestione del posto) è la vicinanza della moschea al riad, con la sveglia obbligata alle 5 del mattino a causa dei richiami alla preghiera del muezzin (pazienza, poi ci si riaddormenta...). Assolutamente consigliabile a tutti, tranne alle persone con problemi di mobilità a causa della presenza di scale."
