wouldn’t it be for the global possibility of seeing and knowing everything thanks to internet, Dar Sabra would be one of those places you couldn’t stop wondering about when you get there, especially because the last 200 m of the road are quite “rural” and you wonder if you’re still on track, even if you know that you’re in Marrakechs Palmeraie, where nice places are hidden all around. Dar Sabra is a stupendous place, a piece of art in its own right. “thank you” to the one person who had the courage and the means to plan and realize this place more than 15 years ago. the infrastructure has it’s little flaws, but these aren’t really relevant and can be fixed (such as the missing flow of warm water in the shower hose / it was ok on the other, ceiling outlet - room 304). where i think they could do better is in the kitchen, by being more courageous and seeking some “fusion experience” giving the mainstream European dishes served (along withe the moroccan ones on the menu, on request) less space and being less boring, and making the Dar Sabra experience even better. what you get (services and infrastructure) is described on their and many more webpages but unless you stay there you won’t really understand what a particular place this is. certainly, there are more luxurious, bigger, more modern, more staffed or more trendy and more “touristy” “activity proned” hotels. but if you enjoy the unusual than this one makes you happier. a few practical things: be sure to use the coordinates to get there, since not all navigators seem to know the road. to the airport in the morning hours it takes about 20 minutes, during rush hour double it breakfast is served in the open pavilion and it might get fresh in the cooler season. 3 rooms (the less expensive ones) are a bit detached from the rest close to the entry gate, but still ok.
Best spot I've ever seen in Marrakech. I found it amazing to be 10 minutes away by taxi from the city center and at the same time enjoying the peaceful nature and calmliness of the palm groove. As an architect, I really loved the cubic forms of this hotel inspired by Mexican architects such as Baragan and Legoretta. Art surrounds you and at the same time, it just feels like home. All the members of my family enjoyed their stay at Dar Sabra playing tennis, pingpong while enjoying massage ar the Spa. The hotel has more than 4 public swimming pools. Having so many choices to swim is clearly a must. The staff is charming and always there to help. I found it to be the perfect place for morning yoga. We are definitely coming back this year.
Dar Sabra is my favorite hotel so far! Clean, great staff, amazing pools, yummy breakfast, gorgeous landscape and our room was apsolutely perfect.....perfect...we had the time of our lives in Marrakech, and Dar Sabra was a big part of it. <3
If you are looking to rejuvenate, Dar Sabra is the ultimate spot. In the middle of the Palm Groove, the door opens and you feel like entering in one of those magical place. Forget from where you just came, you are now in a natural heaven where birds are twitting, art is surrounding you, and you can finally chill around the pool under the sun contemplating the blue sky. The harmony of colors are gorgeous throughout the day and you can definitely ask for a moroccan tea on the rooftop of the main house when the sun goes down. I came with my wife for a week and we can't wait to come back again.
this is one of those places where you will feel like home. The whole stay was magical and very relaxing. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, ready to serve you any time. The building itself is mazingly beautiful and well designed , the cubic design with the Mexican touch through Moroccan handcrafts. A very huge collection of pieces of art every where, in the gardens, rooms, restaurant... the food is great, a well done buffet at breakfast, the menu for lunch and diner is international with the possibilty of a Morocan dish on order. Thanks to every one in DAR SABRA for the wonderful stay. I will be back soon. With love
My film crew and I stayed at this incredible hotel as a recovery from the business of our travel and shoots. Our stay was beyond relaxing. The pool, the art, the delicious breakfast buffet, tennis court and insanely comfortable beds were all a highlight!! The friendly staff will help arrange rental cars, transport in to Marrakesh... I highly recommend a stay in this beautiful hotel!
What a lovely hotel 30 odd rooms and suites great pool Great grounds Excellent food 2 alternative swimming pools so never busy or crowded feels like you have the run of your own villa they have villas with there own pools Staff are attentive and nothing is to much trouble
Firstly, I’ve been to a lot of hotels and this one was stunning in appearance, our room was amazing and the hotel grounds are beautiful. Breakfast was tasty, omelettes are cooked on request and the orange juice is hand pressed. Staff are attentive, could do with a couple more at the bar during the day! I felt odd walking into the restaurant to ask for a sprite. Only gripe is with the WiFi, it is a bit sporadic but this place deserves 5*!
Pros: *Good secure free parking area in the vicinity of the hotel. *Reception Hasan is a pleasant experienced receptionist who dealt with everything really well, initially our room was supposed to be a small room but because they can't fit another bed in for our daughter he arranged a junior big room (really unique). * Breakfast was decent and people working there were chirpy and helpful they even served the food on the table. * 3 swimming pool out of which the biggest one was really good in the sun and gradually gets deep which was ideal for my 9yr old daughter. Plenty of sun beds and shading umbrellas with towels already there for you. Cons: minor cons, 3-4 miles away from amenities such as shops and city centre, we had hired a car so it wasn't much a problem. The passages or corridors were a bit dim. Overall I'd give this hotel 4 out of 5. For the service I'd give 5 out of 5. I've transferred the photos to my pc will upload another time.
Dar Sabra is the hotel destination when visiting Marrakech. I had the pleasure of attending 2 beautiful dinners poolside with great service and very friendly staff and management. Management will go above and beyond to meet your needs and inquiries. I will for sure be back to Dar Sabra! 5 Stars!
