We found this beautifully located niche hotel after some searches on the internet and we realised that it is a great value as for what the hotel, the area etc. has to offer when compared to the price we paid. What we unfortunately didn't;t know is that the some of the surrounding villas are occupied by some of the most horrific French-Moroccans you can imagine. They actually make so much noise in the form of this typical "gangsta" music that it has ruined our holiday. During the day we had to flee the lovely swimming-pool from the hotel as the music kept irritating us and in the evening we couldn't open a window due to the same issue. The direction of the hotel hasn't been able to do anything about it this loud music as these antisocial people as they seem to live there. If you wanna go and enjoy Marrakech and like some peace and quite, don't go here !
Very nice hotel outside Marrakech: the location Is awesome, with beautiful furnitures, a SPA, swimming pool. Unfortunately the organization of the staff Is very poor: we booked and paid the transfer from/to the Airport but at our arrival saturday night we discovered they did not have any reservation so we have ti use the taxi (nearly 60 euro night time). Once arrivederci at the hotel they give us a room but After the dinner, the giù advise US we need ti change It. In the second room the Heating was out of order, so we slept in the cold. The morning After a second guy told US they didn't received the reservation from the agency. He told US they Will offer US Two massages and the transfer from/to Marrakech centre. We stay there for 3 days. One massage was already included in our offer. At the checkout we haven't had our early breakfast (as promised) and we had to pay for the extras: transfer, water (Is an alcohol free hotel) and taxes. Nothing went good during our stay. Breakfast Is good, dinner Is poor on choice. When we notify the Heating problem, the guy offer US to change room for the third time. Mini bar was quite empty, we drunk the water on the First night and we haven't had another One. The same for the bath product. We have to ask for the bath towel. Where are the 5 stars? Very disappointed
We needed a break from London, travelling to work on crowded buses and trains, no time to do anything and the stress of everyday life. So we found a deal and jetted off to Marrakech for our first visit to Morocco. The AG hotel is away from the busy touristy centre of Marrakech, its a 20 minute drive but worth it as the centre is crazy fun but a bit too much to stay slap bang in the middle of. Hotel was nice, beds a little too firm but clean rooms with plenty of space. The Spa was really nice, gym not state of the art but suitable for a good work out. What makes this place special is the staff, we made friends with the manager and when my wife said she wanted authentic Moroccan food he invited us into his home for a family meal which was the best food we had all trip. Saying that though the chef and waiters at the hotel made lovely meals, if you are looking for a boozy party hotel then this is NOT the place for you. Its trendy decor and sweet smells with a fresh clean atmosphere made for a wellbeing break that we craved and deserved. Pool was great, mint tea is yum and all in all this is a wonderful getaway.
We booked two rooms for a four night stay at the AG Hotel and Spa through Inspired Luxury Escapes to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and were pretty disappointed to discover on arrival that the hotel had a no alcohol policy. ILE have subsequently told us that they were unaware of the policy, which doesn’t say much for the checks they make before selling a holiday. This is a boutique hotel about half an hour’s drive from Marrakech and is an oasis in the middle of a pretty barren landscape. The design of the public spaces was bright, modern and innovative. The rooms were spacious and well equipped and we loved that we had a view of the Atlas Mountains while having a shower. The WiFi was good and there was a well equipped gym, sauna and steam room. The fact that there was only one other couple staying at the hotel meant that there was an eerie silence about the place. The daily transport into Marrakech was most welcome and because we were the only people using it, we were able to come back earlier than the usual pick up time of 19.00 hrs. Aside from the no alcohol policy and lack of guests, we were disappointed by the lack of choice in the food we were offered. We were staying on a half board basis and dinner was a set menu. We were offered chicken/beef tagine or pasta on three consecutive nights, with very basic starters and desserts. There was no breakfast buffet, but after a lengthy wait, we were brought a selection of bread, pancakes, pastries, cakes, and orange juice. Staff were pleasant and helpful, and we were particularly impressed by the two guys behind reception on 12 hour shifts, who did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. They also had to multitask by helping out in the restaurant when necessary, and preparing food at lunchtime. There was a feeling that the hotel was being run by a skeleton staff, and the chef was missing, so maybe we were unlucky to be there at that time, which coincided with Ramadan. However, because of the no alcohol policy, we won’t be going back to find out.
Small and cozy hotel, very clean and with great and friendly personnel. Do not hesitate to ask the staff on reception or hotel driver for advice about day trips and "what to see" in Marakkech & surroundings. We tried food in the city but must admit, that hotel kitchen for dinner was simply the best and with affordable price. We will definitely return back again, maybe when temperatures will be a little higher.
Small and nice Hotel.Theq decoration is contemporary and modern.big thanks to the head of the restaurant Mr. Badreddine Moudoubah for his kindness and great sense of service.we will definitely return. Meriemfromgeneva.
The hotel is amazing. The design, the service, the food, the location is simply great. The rooms are large, modern and tidy. The service of the staff is just great, very professional and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and various. The location is far from.town, so for those who want to relax, this is the right place. The air is so fresh and clean. It is a sanctuary so I would recommend it for sure and will definitely return back again
Apple Garden is a resort that includes more than 50 villas and a Boutique Hotel. It's a small hotel with 19 rooms and suits, very cosy and far from the city noise. + good service + nice food with reasonable prices + a green oasis in the desert of Marrakech + new hotel with spacey rooms - far from the city of kech (about 35min from downtown) - the familial aspect of the owners has ruined the calm and the tranquility in the public premises such as the pool and the lobby. Overall opinion: I will visit it again and again
I travelled with my pregnant wife to Morocco in April. We decided to spend the first half of our holiday in the centre of Marrakech then, because my wife is pregnant, we wanted something nice and relaxing. We definitely found that here at the Apple Garden hotel and Spa. Firstly, the hotel staff were absolutely amazing and could not have been more helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Even though our French was very limited we didn't have a problem as there were enough staff here that spoke English. When we arrived (April) there were hardly any other guests so we had the whole place to ourselves! Later on, a few more guests arrived but the atmosphere was still fantastic for what we wanted - peaceful and friendly, perhaps because it's more of a boutique hotel rather than a generic hotel filled with hundreds of holiday makers. The whole hotel felt very modern and eco-friendly. Our room was spacious, very comfortable and with a fantastic view of the Atlas mountains. We used the outside area with the swimming pool which was very well kept and just gorgeous. The hotel has the gym and spa - my wife had a massage and she highly recommends it. The food was amazing - couldn't fault it in any way, and the service was second to none. The hotel offers free shuttle to Marrakesh twice a day and were also offered free airport transfer at the end of our stay. If we were to be critical, the only thing that could be improved would be slow wifi, however we very there to chill out and not on business, so it didn't bother us too much :) This new hotel deserves to be recognised by tourists - it's great if you want to stay out of the madness of the Medina but still within a reasonable commute to the centre. We genuinely recommend it to any type of traveller, especially as there are various villas surrounding the main hotel, so there are plenty of options for everyone. We would definitely come back to this hotel
I don't know from where to start, once we arrived to the entrance, we found a small closed gate, after honked, someone opened the door, then , after the porter took our luggage to the reception, we got a tow cup of juice like at all 5 * Hotels. But once we took the elevator, our nightmare started, the receptionist told as that our room is in the 2nd floor, when arrived there , there was only a construction site, witch is very dangerous if the kids took the elevator alone, in fact our room was in the 1st floor. Once in our room, we found some bath staff are missing, like towels and shampoo ( cause we where 2 Adults and 2 kids). Also flush was botched ,and the washbasin brand was "clever" a average-range brand. When my wife asked for towels and more shampoo and soap to cover our needs, they prepare towels and less than necessary shampoo and soap, and told her, it the best that we can give you, and you should care those things to you room, being shocked with what she heard, she asked them firmly to bring those things to our room. after a while, a woman knocked the door and gave us the towels and the shampoo, and asked to enter to fix the flush, I asked her to come back later (cause my wife was in the bathroom), she told me I can not come back because "THERE IS NO ONE IN THE DESK BUT ME", I told here is not a 5* service, may be a 2* one, she replied : "IT'S NOT MY FAULT" The icing on the cakeI went to talk to her manager, and guess how she (the manager) react: "IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED YOU CAN make your CHECK-OUT NOW AND WE WILL NOT CHARGE YOU" (we spent less than 2 hours) All Hotel's Staff doesn't exceed 5 persons
