This turned out to be an excellent stay, and I am thankful the help that Hind provided throughout my entire journey. I was attending a conference at the Palmeraie Conference Center and looking for a place to stay. It had all the basic amenities needed for a comfortable stay (towels, sheets, A/C, wifi with network/password under the router). Be sure to bring shower soap/shampoo. The community is gated with security throughout and tends to serve foreign travelers and visitors. There are two pools and the grounds that are well cared for. There is a nice grocery store within a 5 minute drive as well. I tended to walk to the conference center (20 minutes at fast pace) but be careful if it's really hot outside. The un-named road from the complex to Rte Palmerie is well lit, but you do walk by a village (locals don't seem to mind) and several private residences blocked off from the street by 6 foot walls. During the daytime it's reasonable, but at night when there is less vehicle and foot traffic you may want to get a ride. In-drive and Roby are ride-share/taxi apps; be aware that it's not as easy to get a ride like UBER as prices are negotiable and drivers only come if they think it's worth their time/energy. It's about a 25 minute drive to the Medina, which isn't bad but can get costly if you're ride-sharing frequently. For me this worked out well. But be aware of transportation issues if you don't have a car. Tours do pickup from here. And use WhatsApp for communications.
