Just 10 minutes from Marquette with great eateries, craft beer breweries and pubs and lots of events and a range of outdoor attractions and city events. This parcel is about 20 minutes to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Munising and some popular local waterfall locations on the way. Marquette is only10 minutes to downtown and 5 minutes to bank, groceries, gas, pharmacy, bar and pizza. There is also a casino just down the road and biking trails. Beds and bedding are all new.

Amazing lake, not amazing cabin
The internet did not work for 4 days and the wifi was unreliable. This made communication with the owner very challenging and it was impossible to plan for weather and find maps for travel. We needed more than 1 hand towel in the bathroom and only had one extra towel to use as a floor mat for 8 days. Water in the cabin was unpredictable and we vacuumed many cobwebs and spiders ourselves. The beach and Lake Superior were amazing and made up for the cabin.

Awesome Beach
The cabin was clean and comfortable. The beach though is what made this a great place. The lake is shallow enough to wade out around 200 feet, and all fine sand.

Would never rent this property again!
I have a long list of things that were a huge disappointment at this property. Starting out one of the beds had filthy sheets, we had to go to the store and buy new sheets. We also had to buy mouse traps because the mouse got into our food the first day. The pictures of the property were taken to make it look much much better than it really is. We had six people there for adults two kids we were given six bath towels one washcloth one hand towel. The property listing stated towels provided one certainly expects to have more than one towel per person for seven days! We Had to find a laundromat so that we could wash the six towels we were given. If it is going to be in the listing that towels are provided then there better be sufficient amount of towels for each individual for the entire stay. The cabin was so sweltering hot it was lucky that we brought fans and extra tinfoil. We had to put tinfoil on the windows every day so that we could at least come back to a house that was 90° instead of 120°. There’s no reason that there cannot be room darkening curtains purchased for the windows. Shears are not a sufficient window covering for a cabin with no insulation and no air-conditioning. We also brought six of our own fans luckily, because it would’ve been impossible to stay in that cabin with the heat. There was also one roll of toilet paper, again we had to buy her own to get through her entire stay.
We felt as though this is purely a money making venture for the owners. The consideration of your visitors is not at all taking into consideration by the things listed above. If you really cared about the people that are staying in your home then I would think that these items, that may seem small and insignificant to you, are very really important to the people that are spending a lot of money in an entire weeks vacation to stay at your establishment.
It would’ve also been nice to know that the property was torn apart tree stumps everywhere sticks everywhere because we had children with us and they were not able to just walk through the property by themselves unsupervised. It was entirely too much debris that they could’ve gotten hurt on
The only good thing about this VRBO was the Lakeview, but the distance from the house to the lake is entirely too far. I would’ve much rather paid more per night and had a better property! But with the amount of money that is charged for this property there is absolutely no reason there cannot be The simple items

Superior retro charm
The retro decor took me back to my childhood, it had an older electric stove that cooked food perfectly, and the kitchen offered modern conveniences , too.
It was hot in the closed up cottage when we arrived, but put the fans in the window and it pulls in the breeze. At night it really cools down and slept comfortably with the windows closed. The pictures on VRBO weren't updated before staying ,so I was pleasantly surprised to find a huge comfy couch and love seat, as well as the lazy boy (which I claimed as my reading chair.) Next time I'll bring my roku as we could only get Grit tv and a couple more channels. We only needed that the 1 evening it rained as we were too busy exploring the rest of the time!
In Marquette I found King Koin laundromat and left my washing to enjoy local coffee shops and bookstores. So I really didn't miss a washer/dryer.
The water pipes get air in them, so you get a little shower in the kitchen sink. But I was on vacation, so I just laughed.
The beach and lake were beautiful! When the fire died down we enjoyed the star show! The local residents and workers were kind and friendly and we were close to so many things to do. I hope to come back.

Location Location Location!!!
It doesn't get much better than a walk over the dune to Lake Superior!! Well stocked kitchen!! This is a more rustic setting with no A/C so if you come in the summer just know that. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice cabin with awesome private beach
My family and I had a great time here. It was a nice little cabin. We especially loved the gorgeous private beach behind the house we spent every morning there. Some of the appliances could use an update and the beds are a little rough, the water seemed to sputter a lot too, but none of that bothered us too much and we just loved the beach part so much we'd definitely return.

Lovely
Simple cabin right off the main road, absolutely beautiful walk from the cabin down to the beach. We brought our kayak and (waves permitting) paddled along Lake Superior.
Short drives to explore Au Train river and beautiful waterfalls.
Close to a good grocery store and and short drive into Marquette.
Even in questionable weather, we had a lovely time.
Could have used a towel rack and a door mat at the backdoor.

Great location
The cottage works as a way to get to the beach, on which it is possible to walk for miles and miles. The owner was unfailingly conscientious in his efforts to resolve the problems with the cottage that did arise. The sunsets were stunning, but can't be seen from the cottage.

Beautiful beach
The beach was absolutely breathtaking and we definitely got some exercise getting to and from it. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We did have a visitor the first night we were there a skunk decided to let us know it was in our area. I realized how important it is to have front and back door motion lights . Lights do a good job of keeping most critters away. we startled the skunk when we went out back in the dark. Overall I would definitely rent the cabin again!

Best beach
This is a basic cabin but clean and convenient to Marquette, Harvey ,and Munising. Right across M-28 from Iron Ore Heritage Trail—easy and gorgeous bike ride into Marquette. One of the nicest and widest private beaches on this stretch with sturdy steps down the dune.

No frills place
The house was clean and met our needs. There was nothing fancy. A small table or shelf in the bathroom would have been helpful. There were steps up or down into every room and the house was very warm but did have fans to help circulate. The lake was farther than we anticipated. We thought we would see the lake from the house and take advantage of the lake breeze but couldn't. There was an issue with the hot water but the owner took care of it immediately.
