I have stayed here twice. A very well run local hotel, very clean and decently appointed. Very convenient. If you aren't used to the UP, you get a wide variety of guests here. Which adds to the fun.

The hotel was great after I luckily got the last room that they had, since Expedia canceled my hotel reservation for this hotel. Expedia canceled my reservation for no reason and, to top it off, they didn’t notify me. Avoid Expedia at all costs and make reservations directly through the hotel. Lesson learned.

The hotel was okay....but the price is definitely too high for what i got. The tile on the bathroom floor was cracked and broken (it even moved under your weight). The beds were decent, it had a microwave and mini fridge. Breakfast wasnt anything spectacular, but there was a decent selection of items. Not sure id stay there again, unless they do some maintenance or lower the price. (I paid $180 for 2 queens, for 1 night)
