I had the salmon and was a little overcooked for me despite ordering it medium rare but still delicious. Warm surroundings with a potbelly and adequate settings. Good restaurant for a motel. Standard prices. Staff were fine too.

Really disappointed. We decided last minute to spend the night in picton after looking online I couldn't decide which room was nicest as there was a few different ones to choose from so we decided to call in and I asked the lady for the nicest room for us (couple). So she gave us a spa room on top floor. We walked in the room it wasn't very nice and there was two beds in the room a king and a single which we only needed a king bed so no idea why she would put us in a twin room specially without Asking us first. The bed was horrible, and the leather chair in room had a strong smell of cleaning chemicals or something which bothered me as the smell was really strong and there was a light shining in the room from outside through the blind which was on all night. so between that and noisy neighbors I didn't get much sleep. For $200 this is such a rip off. Maybe the other rooms are better and we unfortunately got put in the worst room for some reason? I definitely don't think this place deserves 4 stars!

The lift wasn’t working and we were on an upper floor. Seems to be a long term issue here. Otherwise the rooms were old fashioned but clean. Nice views from the balcony. Didn’t eat at the property as there were lots of alternatives in the town Centre which is a couple of hundred yards away. Nice walks in the area if the weathers good. Good stopover for the ferry or onward travel.

Was in Picton for one night at the Beachcomber was my base. I had a huge room with a wrap-around balcony and a view of the sound. Easy walk to town and really friendly staff. The decor is basic and a tad dated but it was clean and well taken care of.

We stayed here for one night after having done the QCT. Reception staff was friendly and check-in was quick. The room was modern and comfortable, also the bathroom, and everything was clean. Most balconies open towards an inner courtyard with a lawn and the harbor in the background. Balconies are quite close together and only sparsely separated from each other. When sitting outside you feel like sitting on one and the same balcony with your neighbors, no privacy at all. Next to the hotel there is another hotel (Yacht Club Hotel) that has its large air-conditioning unit towards the balconies of the Beachcomber Inn. We could hear the sound all the time on the balcony, but not inside the room. Please note that the ferry terminal is not far away. Nice to watch, but ferries can be heard during day and night what might be disturbing.

First rate accommodation with spacious room, comfortable king size bed and good shower. Nice big basin for washing. The housekeeping is of such a high standard, that you have to go to some lengths to 'unmake' the bed to actually get into it! Both the rear balcony and the walkway to our second floor room (207) had beautiful views of the harbour. There's free parking and a swimming pool too. When we visited, the lift was out of order, but staff will help with luggage if you can't manage the stairs. It's a quiet but central location with restaurants and boat trips just a couple of minutes away on foot. Note that sit-down breakfasts are only available for tour groups. There is an in-room continental breakfast option, but there are also plenty of cafés nearby, plus the Village Bakkerij. If you're looking for a great day walk on the Queen Charlotte Track, we can recommend Furneaux Lodge to Punga Cove, travelling out and back with Beachcomber Cruises.

Clean rooms with a Great view. Service was excellent. Possibly one of the best locations in Picton. Great parking and easy access to the ferry which is just a couple km down the road. We liked the great view of the harbor and short walk to downtown restaurants. Short hikes (1 hr or less) are easily accessible.

A gorgeous and modern room. I stayed in the Superior Room with Spa Bath. Pros: amazing view from the balcony connected to the room and from the walkway balcony in the front; very clean including the whirlpool bath tub; modern sofas and coffee table; spacious balcony with comfortable chairs and a table; staff were very friendly and accommodating when I arrived early; excellent fish and chips Cons: restaurant hours are very limited, they don't open until 6pm so during the day you can't eat at the hotel. Overall: I would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

We stayed for a night arriving before check in time our luggage was stored and we were given some options of things to do and places to have some lunch The staff were very pleasant and helpful Our room was on the first floor and the lift was not working reliably but enough for the luggage to go up but not us. The room was large and very comfortable with an adjoining large bathroom with shower in a spa bath. There was a small balcony and it overlooked the bay and the hotel’s back lawn. There was only a simple, room delivered, the night before, breakfast as the day we left was a public holiday and there was no staff to service breakfast. We ate in the restaurant , which still had the Xmas decorations up, in early February, but the meal was excellent as was the service This is a motel type accommodation which is a very acceptable place to stay in Picton

Great location. Neat and functional. Fridge. Sball swimming pool. Balcony onto the garden overlooking the bay. Flat screen tv with sky. Good wi fi a d helpful staff. Parking outside our room. Try the local fish and chips.
