We stayed at Chateau Marlborough while on the Lions tour so cannot comment on the price of the room as it was all included in the price of our package. The room was very clean and comfortable and had lots of windows meaning the room was lovely and light. The hotel also has a laundry that we were glad to make use of given we had been on the road for a couple of weeks. The hotel is located opposite Seymour square, a small park that is nice to walk around. It is also only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of the town, meaning it is very convenient. Breakfast is usually served at your table but, because there were a large number of people staying, the hotel put on a buffet for us which had both hot and cold choices. The staff were helpful and friendly and dealt with any requests efficiently. We would definitely consider staying here if we ever return to Blenheim.
The hotel is a pleasant and clean choice. Most of the hotel is recently updated although there is work currently going on. Some early morning noises but not to bad. The rooms are large and clean with comfortable beds. The gym is small and the treadmill isn't working but it's functional for the most part. The restaurant is good although service is a little slow at times but very friendly and welcoming. We've enjoyed our stay.
Luxury accommodation right in the middle of town. We were lucky enough to stay in the Spa apartment suite and WOW what a room! The apartment was warm, spacious and luxurious. The bed was HUGE and the linen was lovely. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend dining at the in house restaurant Quench also. We dined for both dinner and breakfast and both meals were fantastic. Cant wait to stay again.
Excellent hotel, had a beautiful refurbished room. One of the nicest I've stayed at. Tea and coffee making facility and a microwave. Great shower and bathroom. Welcoming check in and best of all free WiFi! Highly recommend for business or pleasure.
Small but cozy and full facility, located in heart of town. The rooms are warm and the beds are very comfy, full kitchen equipments for your short stay. It's always my first choice when visiting Picton.
Have here stayed here a number of times, aesthetically the best. Rooms are large with all the necessary facilities. The gym is very small with limited equipment and treadmill was not working on my last visit. I would not recommend eating at the restaurant, basic dishes with limited flare.
We arrived here after a VERY long drive up from Queenstown. The staff at this modern hotel greeted us warmly and we were given the key to the lift! This was something we needed as we had the penthouse suite which has the lift arriving within the living room of the suite! The suite itself is large, very modern and quite minimal. Both bedrooms are en suite and one has a dressing room area as well. We ate in the restaurant that evening and were very pleased with our dinner and the lovely wine list (as you might expect in this part of the world). Pre dinner cocktails were very welcome after our drive and the meal itself was very good. Would definitely recommend if you are in this part of the world.
First stop on the South Island as part of the Lions 2017 tour. We had a lovely, very spacious room on the second floor. With a separate seating area we were able to relax in the evenings and recharge after the excitement of Wellington (the Lions winning the second test!!) The room was very clean as was the bathroom which is equipped with good quality toiletries. The robes were a welcome addition for a couple of relaxing evenings that felt like a home from home. This was a very welcome oasis on a hectic holiday! The bar area is cosy and we enjoyed the excellent pulled pork rolls from the menu. Breakfast was a bit hectic but I think this was a result of the hotel catering well for our tour with a good buffet breakfast rather than from the usual menu. There is a nice looking pool area adjacent the bar/restaurant although it was too cool to use it this time! The hotel is also only a short walk into the town centre where there are shops, restaurants and a couple of pubs/bars.
We were transferred to Blenheim from Nelson by AirNZ after a day waiting for a flight to Christchurch and chose this hotel as we had a great stay a few years ago. We arrived at 9 p.m. to a warm welcome and a very new room that was very comfortable. The restaurant had just closed and the helpful young man at reception phoned several other places but there was nothing open on the Monday evening. We were really grateful when he was able to have the chef whip up a couple of pizza's for us. Thanks very much for a wonderful stay.
We really enjoyed our stay and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Was very busy (all those Lions supporters) but this didn't deter from the service. Restaurant was a bit hit and miss - some of our meals were beautiful but a few were not so great. On the plus side the staff were very happy for feedback on check out as they had just recently changed their menu. Overall a lovely stay in a lovely town.
