Clean, quiet, affordable. Friendly staff.
Front desk was very easy to work with. Very nice people. very good rep for the Hilton. Except for the lipstick stain on the comforter. the rooms were in very good shape.
They gave us the wrong room and refused to compensate for the difference. The first night the power was out so the AC unit made a terrible buzzing noise making it impossible to sleep. The to-go breakfast options were pretty dismal. The fridge didn’t actually keep food cold.
The suite was huge and very clean. Seemed like new. Very comfortable.
Stayed 3 nights and never had any maid service; at 3:00 P.M. after the first night I told the maid just gives towels and not to worry about the room. The next day it was 3:30 P.M and no maids anywhere; upon leaving for the night I talked to the front desk and he said we will definitely have your room cleaned- well at 1:30 A.M. when we got back to our room nothing was done. So I stayed at a Hilton Hotel for 3 days and NO MAID SERVICE- We have stay at the Hampton Inn next door for the last 5 years and we thought how about a change-BIG MISTAKE Next year we will be back at Hampton
Guy was a jerk on the phone. Said they were booked up but found room on Orbitz no problem. He even gave me phone number for a diff hotel. That should have clued me in. Cracked floors throughout room. Pool got shut down because chlorine was dangerously high. Will not be staying there again.
A good alternative among Cedar Rapids hotels. Staff was extremely pleasant on check in. The only issue I had is with the quality of housecleaning. Not gross or anything, but I did find a dental floss pick on the floor and it sure as heck wasn't mine.
We were in town for only a day and night. Our room was so nice and clean and had everything we needed. We really would have liked to stay longer to enjoy it more.
We couldn't have been more pleased. Very clean and large rooms. Quiet! Not an ideal location for us, but close to major streets. We will stay there again.
We had a very good stay at this hotel. While we were here there was very bad weather, especially on the day we were leaving. That is when the fellow at the desk looked up weather reports and road closures...VERY helpful. And we didn't even think to ask him to do it...he just did! The Breakfasts were good and the hotel and rooms were very clean. I would stay here again.
Would try another hotel next time. Had to change room when a snow storm delayed my departure. Staff was less than helpful - plus front desk was left without any staff around most of our 4 day stay... outside smoking etc.
This is the hotel we choose when going home to see my husbands parents. It is in a central location and works for us. Great breakfast in the morning. My only complaint is why are the room specials from an online company for a handicapped room on the first floor. I would appreciate the opportunity for a suite on any of the above floors.
We went to Cedar Rapids to watch a couple Kernals games so we stayed 2 nights. The location was great. About 10 minutes to the stadium, minutes away from tons of restaurants and Target. There was another family with us and we requested adjoining rooms. They weren't able to provide that so we were put 7 rooms apart. The room was spacious, small kitchenette (which we didn't need to use) and it was nice the sink was a separate area from the bathroom, although it was much higher than average making it difficult for my daughter to use. There was only a shower and not a tub, which was not convenient for our kids, 1 being an infant. I don't recall that being in the room description anywhere. The breakfast was good- what we've come to expect from the Hilton family- always some warm items to choose from, waffles and oatmeal, pastries, cereal, yogurts and fruit, juice, and coffee bar. The pool could have been a bit bigger for all the kids. It seemed easily crowded. The water temp could have been a little warmer. But the couches and lounge chairs on the pool deck were nice. My husband really enjoyed using the exercise room there. Overall, it was a pretty nice stay. I would consider staying there again.
The first thing that made it awesome was that they let me check in early. I was there with husband for interview and this helped so much being in a strange place. The room was beautiful, very new and clean, spacious. The location was great, close to everything. Thanks for a great stay!
Lots of room in the suite. Refrigerator, stove, microwave, sink, couch desk... Basically an efficiency apartment. Only paid $79/night due to December discount, but definitely worth normal price of $110/night if that is in your price range. Best continental breakfast I've ever had. Real eggs, real plates and silverware.
We were pleased with the staff, the fitness room and the amenties offered.
The breakfast could have been more varied. i.e. I would have loved a couple of doughnuts or danish.
