Nice house in a Very convenient location, close to South Point, Goodland, and many good restaurants. VERY quiet neighborhood cul de sac… less than 1/3 of the houses on the street were occupied the week we were there. Positives: Beautiful polished ceramic floors, enclosed pool, huge master bath, full compliment of appliances including washer/dryer, nicely furnished and decorated, great location - very quiet, very convenient to the best parts of Marco Island, reasonable (offseason) rental rate.
Not so positives: 1. electrical system badly needs to be updated … about 20% of the wall switches don’t do anything… knob missing off at least 1 fan rheostat to control speed. 2. Stovetop burners control labels are mostly worn off… cooking is a bit of guesswork. 3. Took almost 5 minutes to get lukewarm water in master bath shower (control knob turned all the way to hot). Forget about getting actual hot water anywhere in the house. 4. Thermostat is locked out, so no ability to adjust temperature in house to anything other than 75F. 5. Large, obvious water damage area in dining room ceiling. 6. Front yard had bare spots and weeds and looked like crap compared to almost every other (perfect) yard in the neighborhood.
It was obvious this house is owned by a rental company and not an individual who truly cares about their property.
