Look, this is an older hotel in a small town. I've been coming here for years and staying there while I deer hunt. So yes they charge more than they should on the weekends during deer season...yes the rooms are not fancy and they are a little older and the bed is not the greatest, but it makes for a nice deer camp and the breakfast and coffee are above and beyond much fancier hotels. I will hopefully stay there next year and the year after and the after. I highly recommend.

Convenient location in Johnson City made me choose this place. We stayed for 2 nights. On the first day, we left the room to head to breakfast, only to discover that another vehicle had hit my car (parked right in front of the unit door), smashing the rear brake light and scraping the side. The property had no cameras, so we had to file a police report for insurance. Not a great impression. We came back that afternoon from our touring the LBJ ranch to find Housekeeping appeared to have come in our absence as evidenced by bath towels removed and hand towels replaced. But no replacements for the bath towels were left behind, the coffee pods hadn't been replenished, beds not made and floors dirty enough that our feet were black! Mind you, this was late afternoon, well after check-in time, so one would think Housekeeping would have finished by then. My husband had to hunt the crew to get the towels and pods dealt with, and as we were planning to nap before dinner, didn't bother asking about the beds. The socks haven't recovered their formerly white color after being washed, but we'll hope on that! Long & short - beds were comfy, location is good. But not much else to recommend it.

Good news - The room was clean with a comfortable bed. The location was convenient to the co-op and post office for Christmas lights, festivities and restaurants. Bad news - The building itself and the parking area are ran down and not well lit, with some areas being a bit creepy and full of stray cats. If you're looking for small town charm, this isn't the place for you.

We had stayed here a couple of years ago but this time around the hotel was a bit of a bummer. No sugar/cream packs at the coffee station in our room. Kleenex box empty. Conditioner bottles in shower were empty. There a was a roach in the bathroom. it’s location is great, just keep in mind the rooms are not the greatest nor newest. If you’re in town for several days, don’t forget this property has its own patio area with lots of picnic tables, grills, the gazebo just for sitting and lots of tree coverage.
