The studio was as described and the garden was nice. I was extremely disappointed to find out that the studio was attached to the owner's home where a garage would be. The owner lived there full-time along with renting out 2 of her bedrooms. I would never have rented this studio knowing the owner was living right there attached to the unit. She preferred that I sleep with the windows open because electricity was expensive to run the a/c unit The owner has a small dog that she kept outside until 3 am most mornings. The dog barked all night long right under my window and woke me up every 10-15 minutes. The young men renting the rooms would come home jovially talking to friends and would wake me up. I had the worse headache after one week. Then a week later I got very sick. I could hardly do anything after that because I coughed so much. I had to leave after 25 days due to being so sick. I was supposed to be there 85 days. Also, Puerto Banus was a good 30 minute walk for me and I was told by the owner it was 10 minutes. She knew I was a retired woman. I would never have rented the studio knowing it was a 30 minute walk up hill to get back to the studio. The bus came every hour Monday through Saturday. It seemed like all I did was wait around for the bus in that heat. There was a heat wave when I was there, so it was miserable to walk too much. The only thing in the neighborhood was a grocery store and 2 small restaurants. The studio was not set up when I arrived, no towels or toiletries as stated. I ended up buying my own toiletries, then she brought me some 3 days later, which I didn't need at that point. This was the WORSE vacation I ever had and I will never rent through HomeAway UK again. I just want to add that I have travelled extensively my whole life and that I was in the foreign service. I am used to putting up with lots of issues, but at this point in my life I do not want to live right next door to the owner. I will rent a hotel room next time. Because I was going to be there so long, I thought it would be nice to immerse into a neighborhood and improve my Spanish, but there was not really a neighborhood feel there, very disappointing.
