It was OK I went during off season so it felt a little abandoned. There was a nice bar within walking distance but the hotel really had nothing I'd imagine there was more going on outside of winter. The staff I saw were all nice enough

Modern clean hotel with a great lobby

Excellent hotel but the Staff would not let us check in until 16.00. I sent a request for a double room and they gave me a twin room, 5 minutes taxi rode from marbella centre

Great location, nice rooms, good value for money.

Pros - Clean, comfortable room in a great location in terms of beach, restaurants and shopping. Cons- housekeeping don't clean kitchenette, there was no kettle in our room and our studio had view of busy road and petrol garage. Traffic was loud with the balcony doors open.

Great hotel if you are happy to walk

My husband and I have stayed at the guadalpin many times and love the location as we love to walk and it's a good walk to both Marbella and Pto Banus. The hotel is clean and the rooms are spacious. The only problem we had is that there is music in the corridor which is played throughout the night and we had a speaker right outside our door! However, I like this place and will definitely stay here again.

Nice room, kitchen good, balcony spacious with comfortable furniture, bedroom very nice also with curtains and quality lamps, bathroom good with comfy lining for a bath. Underfloor heating a plus, staff very polite.

Nice place. Reception very focused in customer service. The room was a bit out dated but functional. Room wiew was great. Definitely I will back in the future. Also is a five minutes from marbella center and "Casco Antiguo " the beautiful Arabic Andaluza Barrio.

Apartments in former hotel. Wider facilities not open beyond pool. We had stayed last year and the pool bar was open then but not this year- although there is a bar service at the pool, it is quite sporadic and slow with very limited opening hours. On the plus side, the pool area was clean generally. The pool opening hours were quite limited when we were there- from around 10:30/11am to 7pm- presumably due to their lifeguard cover arrangements. Lidl and other supermarket close by, as well as various restaurants and well located. Kitchenette is very small but okay for preparing small snacks- we only really had breakfast here and the odd sandwich lunch. Housekeeping is good and very efficient- towels are changed regularly and the room seems to be serviced even when you have been in it a fair bit during the day- they seem very efficient at sorting it out even with a reduced window of opportunity. We had similar experience with housekeeping here last year. Better than most places I have stayed in apartments in that respect.

Summertime at the Guadalpin Marbella

This was the first time we stayed in the guadalpin in the summer, and it was certainly busier then in the winter time. The pool is fantastic and the sun terrace fully furnished with sun loungers. There are still no bars or restaurants open in the complex but everything is within walking distance. The rooms are cleaned every day, apart from the kitchen area, which is your responsibility. The guadalpin suits us, we can prepare our own breakfast and light meals or salads if we don't want to go out to eat. There is a large Lidl two minutes away, and lots of other shops nearby.

Value for Money paid

good location. Close to amenities and beach. Excellent pool and sunbeds. We got what we expected for the price paid. Hotel is a patch on what it once was but at 65 euro a night per room, it was excellent value. Perhaps that the hotel is now a shadow of its former self should be made clear to all because I have no doubt that some people would expect 5 star luxury despite on paying 2 star rates.

Great Value

There are some earlier reviews suggesting problems. Although this appears to have been developed as a high end large hotel (the reality of Spanish over-development) , it is operating as an short stay apartment and is rather empty. When I checked in during late evening, the security man in front had my reservation and room key at the ready. And yes, the main office is tucked away on the 1st floor. But the confusion was only slight, and I was rewarded with a high value room for the money. For those aware of general conditions all over Spain, this should not be too difficult to figure out or be much of an issue.
