Great Manteo location

This was the perfect location for a long weekend trip with my family. Easy to find, very convenient. We were able to walk to breakfast at Darrell's and to the slip our catamaran tour left from. Listing is totally accurate-no surprises.

The house was perfectly located to the town and could either walk or rent a bike fromAcross the street. The place was clean and had everything we needed.I would suggest upgrading some of the things: shower caddy upstairs was straight rust and would come off while showering. The dresser upstairs almost fell over twice: the dresser without the TV. Aside from a few little things, the place was cute. Owners are responsive.

A comfortable getaway

My husband and I and daughter and her husband wanted to spend a few days in the Outer Banks and this place was perfect for us. Convenient to visiting spots on Bodie Island. Place was clean and well equipped. Hope to return.

Perfect for a family of 5!

Thank you for opening up your home to us. It was perfect for our family of 5. Our boys are ages 11, 8 and 4, so the bunk beds and the other bed across the way was perfect! Also the outdoor shower was so nice to get all of the sand off before entering your house. Great idea! Your pup is so cute and loved that he was the star of your house with several pictures scattered throughout. The boys loved the yoda’s scattered throughout too. We would 100% stay here again! Great home, perfect location

This house was so cute and comfortable. The description is accurate; the house had everything we needed. I had never stayed in Manteo, but it was super convenient. The owners were easy to communicate with and check in/out could not have been easier. I would definitely stay here again. One tip: in the summertime the upstairs rooms can get a little warm. When you leave the house, keep the ceiling fans on and the bedroom doors open and the rooms will be comfortable when you return from your day on the beach.

Great Location Very Clean Everything We Needed

Went to OBX with my son for a graduation kiteboarding trip. House had everything we needed and was very clean and spacious. If we come back we’ll look to stay here again!

overall a great experience

amazing home located in the heart of Manteo, Plenty of room inside and all amenity's needed, only issue is parking for oversized trucks and boats, not enough room to back a boat into the drive, not due to the home but the way that the dive shops owners parking is setup. will definitely be using this property again just have to make arrangements for boat storage during the stay

Amazing home and way beyond our Expectations! Hosts were awesome!

To say that this home was fully stocked is an understatement. The hosts provided everything needed to have the most wonderful stay and were very attentive to any questions that we had. This home is in such a great location, close to stores, downtown, historic sites and even a small drive over the bridge to the beach. My fiancé, daughter and I had such an amazing time staying in Manteo and in this home that, we will be staying here again in the coming years. This house now means something more for us, as it was where my fiancé proposed. Thank you Robert and Josiah, for making our stay in Manteo wonderful and we look forward to our future stays in your beautiful home.

Families and Groups Will Want to Book

If you are looking for an affordable yet appropriately sized home to experience the charm of Manteo or the nearby coastal towns, Opie's Landing is a great fit. The house has all the comforts of home with full kitchen, porch furniture, and games to play (on some cold weather days). We were able to walk to shops and restaurants even without being in the heart of downtown. We were appreciative with how communicative the hosts were for our visit.
