Nothing special but clean and friendly staff
Nice and quiet and nice pool.
they are great! the facility is great!
Lovely rooms. Love the lighted mirror above the sink.
The staff is VERY nice and helpful, but our phone was broken and there was a bug in the room.
For us, location was great, and the room rate was reasonable. Beds comfy, and air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was great as long as it was busy and food was moving, otherwise food was sitting around for a while on a slow day.
I have stayed at this no frills inn many times while visiting my college kids and it's always a pleasure. It's simple, spotless, friendly with a decent breakfast.
The hotel was under construction remodel. Didn't know until arrival. Pool was closed.
The smell of fabreze permeated the entry way. The interior decor was dated but clean enough. I stood at the check in counter for quite some time with no one coming to help. Finally, I called the hotel from the lobby and a gentleman came around to answer it. He seemed annoyed that I had "tricked" him to come around and help me. The room was decent, though the sheets were thin and you could see the mattress pad through them. There was an odd smell in the bathroom, seemed like smoke to me, though this is a non smoking hotel. The ceiling in the bathroom was cracked and flaking. The refrigerator in the room was making a very odd noise and I had to unplug it to make it stop. The breakfast was fine... typical lower/mid level hotel breakfast options. If I had paid a lower rate for the room I would probably give the hotel a better rating, but at at the mid to upper level rate it simply wasn't worth it. I slept fine, everything seemed clean enough but not up to the standard of Holiday Inn Express's I've stayed at before.
As I was showering I looked up at shower curtain and saw used wash cloth hanging on shower bar. Carpet was stained. After engaging lock to room door it was difficult to disengage, in case of emergency occupant would have difficulty making quick exit.
This room was very dirty. We always check the linens before getting into bed and the mattress cover/bedskirt was filthy. It had a line of dust, hair, and debris on both beds. The smoke detector was literally hanging out of a hole in the ceiling. The bedskirt had a stain so large on it, it was disturbing. The vinyl curtains had a blood or rust stain on them. The floor tiles had been caulked into place and two of them were broken in the same vicinity. It was very disappointing, especially for how much the hotel charged for the room.
My daughter and i arrived at tampa airport at 9 am dec 21 for a 1115 am takeoff with delta airlines . we were delayed until 4 pm at whitch time they cancelled . we needed to be at a funeral the next morning in mt vernon ohio at 9 am . they could not get us there by then so we never made it . the hotel is giving us a hard time about giving me my money back. i blame delta but this is terrible Can you help ?
Price for the room is too expensive. Furniture is old, Pool is pretty small. 60$ for a night would be ok, double Price is too much. Holiday Inn Express MT. Vernon, no, I would not recommend this Hotel to a friend.
King size bed was a little too short. I was allergic to the soap. Heater made the air too dry BUT The breakfast was the best breakfast ever!
Very clean rooms, had microwave, fridge, iron & board, and decent breakfast. Would definitely stay again. Very close to KCH for visiting patrons. Well mapped on Garmin. Easy check in and check out.
For our annual visit to the college, this was extremely convenient (10 min away), close to shopping (Walmart), restaurants and movie house, and very comfortable accommodations (clean, quiet, spacious, with laundry facilities). Staff was very helpful. Highly recommend this place.
One of the first questions I had upon arrival was to whether or not they had a fitness center. The answer was no. The next morning I began to run outside and ran past a Fitness Facility about two blocks from the hotel. I went back to the hotel and asked if they had an arrangement with this facility. The answer was "yes" and I got a free pass for each day I was there.
The pool was grate would have been better had the hottoub been there...the room was really nice big enough that we did not fell cramped..really like the fact that our room had a fride and a microwave...how ever the frezzer in the fridge did not work...but the room was the same as most of them we have stayed in...
We had a wonderful time, the hotel was great! Unfortunately, the manager, [...], checked us in and was hostile. Thoroughly unpleasant! We only had to deal with her once, thank goodness, as she was off the rest of our stay. [...]She then proceded to lecture us about the rules. She was most unpleasant. The manager aside, everyone else was wonderful, and the breakfast was excellent. Someone needs to teach [...]some people skills.

Aww! Thank you, this made our day! Please come back again soon.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for sharing your experience. We do hope that our front desk staff was quickly able to resolve your phone issue while you were still here. This winter, stink bugs have been on the move and are unfortunately causing a problem for all hotels. Please know that we are doing everything in our power to keep them from getting in the hotel; however, they are quite persistent. We do hope to see you again soon.
