Best Western Wooster Hotel

Even though the hotel common areas were under renovation, the rooms were clen and nice. The complimentary breakfast was better than I expected.

Hotel was ok but it was either under construction or could really use and update. Just stayed in a Best Western in Long Beach, CA and it was great. Would not say the same about this one.

We were in Wooster for a college class reunion. I knew the hotel was not new but we weren't up for staying in a dorm. We had a pleasant surprise. Easy check-in, bright refurbished halls, and a very comfortable, clean, refurbished room with fridge and microwave, We expected a continental breakfast but it turned out to be a hot breakfast with waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, etc. Not great, but certainly not bad. We enjoyed out stay

They are renovating rooms which is needed. The hotel is old but perfectly fine. Staff and location more than makes up for its well-used amenities. Breakfast is simple and typical, but hot and plentiful and the server couldn't be nicer! Great distance from College of Wooster and n the prime downtown area.

We arrived late at night without any problems checking in. The remote had a sleep button. Slept soundly--which we hardly ever do! The shower head was very high and it was easy to turn on. My only complaint is the front door did not open automatically. The free breakfast buffet was better than most.

We stayed while visiting the College of Wooster - we wanted to be near the downtown area, much of which has been nicely brought up to date and has many restaurants and shops. The area the hotel is in was near many empty shops, but it was safe. People were very nice and friendly. The hotel has a good breakfast and the rooms are large enough for two doubles and a table/chairs to relax in. I would stay here again - even though there are newer places with more commercial/chain restaurants in the north part of town, this was a great value and we liked being closer to the college and being able to walk around the downtown area.

Walking into the doors of the hotel, I was met with a friendly "hello" from the desk attendant, as well as a surprisingly beautiful lobby. After obtaining the room key, I was directed to a rather small and dated elevator (nothing I would have expected considering the effort put into the lobby area) that moved painfully slow. Once I arrived in my room, I was immediately pleased with the surroundings. The room was cozy with an inviting interior. Upon closer inspection though, the towels in the bathrooms were really worn and mismatched, and the comforter on the bed had a rather suspicious stain on it. When I spoke with the night manager about the comforter, he immediately found another (fresh from the laundry) took it up to my room and replaced it. He also gave some wonderful suggestions for restaurants in the area. Breakfast the following morning was basic but nice, although the linen on the tables had seen better days. Overall, it was the staff, not the hotel itself, that would make me return. If you are looking simply for basic accommodations in a friendly environment, in a friendly, diverse town, Wooster Best Western is pretty great.
