Best Western Hotel La Corona Manila3.0 out of 5.0

I've stayed at this hotel many times. It's nice, comfortable and quiet. They usually have a great breakfast buffet but something happened since my last stay. The choices were very limited and there were only two staff on duty too busy to talk to anyone. Never had to get my own coffee before so I waited. Then I finally realized it wasn't coming. All in all it's a nice place with comfortable rooms if you're looking for a smaller hotel at a good price .
The real let down (frankly speaking -real disappointment) was their so called "buffet breakfast" (which they advertize for the passer by as "new and improved"! Everything in that buffet was merely edible, nothing more. Plus, the place is disorganized, under-staffed (the staff there feel overworked, and could not cope; in fact one of them asked me to complain to the front desk). Hotel is in a good location for Ermita, rooms are nicely cleaned and room amenities are sufficient. For a "Best Western" hotel, it was overall a disappointment.
Had short 2 day stay. Excellent staff. Decent and very cozy. If it had a kitchen..l would stay longer. Cannot eat Filipino food. But very nice overall.
The hotel location is not as good due to traffic but they have amazing breakfast and staff.
Pretty much got what was advertised. Room was made everyday. In room safe worked with no problem. No issues with free breakfast.
Nice hotel, convenient location within walking distance to the US Embassy, excellent staff.
Clean hotel. Great service. 5 minute walk to the embassy. Complimentary breakfast was great. I was very comfortable here. I will stay here again
This was my 10th stay at this hotel and it's always a good experience. The rooms are always nice, clean and comfortable. The staff is always very kind and pleasant. I particularly enjoy the breakfasts as they are superb. The only issue is that the staff consistently doesn't ask if you would like a coffee refill, if you need creamer, etc. They sit back and wait for you to always call them to the table. Otherwise, it's a terrific experience. If you're looking for a smaller hotel in the Ermita area, this one is a great choice.
I am amazed. All staff are friendly and accomodating. Breakfast buffet are great a lot of choices .. I am very well satisfied.
This hotel is very nice, clean and the staff is very friendly. The buffet breakfast is always excellent, however, the staff doesn't do a good job on a consistent basis. The have many trainees who try to assist but nobody training them. They don't do the basics like ask to refill your coffee, etc. other than that this is a great place to stay.
I booked my room a day in advance of my arrival since I was going to be checking in at four in the morning. When I arrived I learned that they had given my room to someone else even though I had called ahead and told them that I would be checking in at four in the morning. However they made it right by upgrading me to another room until my room was ready. I love the breakfast at this hotel. It's the best.
The staff were very helpful and courteous. We book A room for 5 days, but we had a problem with the physical for my son, so they let us check out, and allowed us to use the remaining 2 night when we had to come back 4 days later. and I just want to say thanks,
It's an older hotel, rooms are very clean but they're very small . The staff were excellent, very concerned about your comfort .
We stayed in this hotel for a few days and the staff are so accommodating. I would definitely stay in this hotel again in our future trip.
Wonderful and professional staff i was truely happy with the way i treated
Very nice. Staff was wonderful. price was great. Would recommend this hotel.
This hotel was adequate for what it was needed for. It was not particularly spacious. It was in a bad neighborhood. I know because I like to get out and walk around in the morning, reconnoiter my environment. I was warned by the hotel staff about the area before I departed, so they do get a good rating for that. Overall, I would say that I have not experienced enough of Manila to offer a valid opinion.
Loved the staff they were great the girls at the front desk were the best
Decent place to stay, area nearby a little on the seedy side. Staff was very nice, but it would be better if the elevator went to the top floor. Not far from the airport but traffic terrible and took nearly an hour to go the 9 km
