Stayed in January'17 and the price was pretty high compared to the area and other local hotels which offer better services. The rooms are not well maintained and tooo small. We were given rooms and were there for a wedding. Post returning, we found the AC not worrking and had to change the room twice. A simple sandwich and machine coffee ordered to the room took more than 30 mins to cum.
We checked in at 11pm on arriving in Mangalore was around 20mins from the airport was around INR 600 by prepaid non AC taxi. The hotel staff was very helpful and also organised transport for the next morning to Madikeri Coorg for INR 3000 ac Taxi. The only problem is the kitchen closes at 10:30pm and nothing I is available after that, not even hot milk for the child could be organised. The room is very compact and basic, the wardrobe could have been cleaner, and the toilet a seat had stains in room 302. The restaurant for breakfast was good with excellent service and excellent indian option with dosas, sev upma, omlette, poha. The other options were cornflakes, juice, cut fruit. Tea was from the cafe coffee day machine with Teabag. Overall good for a budget stay and stopover.
I stayed here while on a personal visit. Good location. The room was neat and clean with everything working as committed. The coffee shop serves good food at reasonable prices. Worth exploring for short stay.
The facilities were just fine considering that this is a budget hotel. The bed and mattress were clean. The sheets were changed every day and the staff were courteous. There is complimentary coffee and tea along with a electric kettle. Complimentary water is provided every day (2*500ml). The room also has a small refrigerator. The TV unit is small and not so great. Newspaper stand is available on all floors. The food is average and the free wifi is not so good. The hotel is close to one of Infosys's offices. It's 5km to the shopping district.
Well maintained hotel and groomed staff. Hotel is bit far to city center but ideally location on main road and Kottara circle. Very close to Infosys office. Rooms are small, food menu is highly limited and ideal for business stay. Feel overly priced and doesn't offer value for money.
Was here for 2 nights for a family function but was disappointed with their service. The rooms are EXTREMELY small and we changed rooms twice as both the rooms given had some or the other issues. The staff is discourteous. When I had to change the room midnight (as the AC was not working) during first night there was no single bell boy to help. I had to shift the room with my family (including an infant) all on my own. Moreover the restaurant has strict breafkast timings and not much of a variety in menu. Not sure if all other Gingers are the same but Ginger Mangalore is ABSOLUTE THUMBS DOWN !
It was nice place Rooms are a bit small A bit far from mangalore city It is about 5km from mangalore railway station near kottara chowki Transport facility is bit bad The only way to get into city is through auto
This is a very basic hotel but adequate for one night's stay when I was taking part in the 2017 Rickshaw Challenge. I would not stay here with my wife for a holiday because she prefers a little more comfort.
We stayed here for one night. It is a good hotel with all basic amenities. The room was clean, interiors were soothing, washroom was clean, food was tasty and parking was also there. The staff was courteous and our check-in was smooth. The tariff is also reasonable. Overall a good choice to stay in Mangalore.
I had travelled with my wife and 3 year old son to Mangalore and stayed in Ginger hotel. The location was very convenient for us as it was close to most famous destinations. The food was tasty and simple which we could give our son. The service was great and staff were very friendly. Overall a great experience for a reasonable price
