Stayed for one night with family in April and once again really pleased with this hotel. Great location. We were upgraded and the rooms were lovely two beds so we could really spread out and relax. The staff are lovely very welcoming and friendly. We did not have breakfast on this occasion but we did have a bar meal which was tasty and reasonably priced. This hotel is certainly one of my top 3 in Manchester.

On arrival I felt sorry for the reception staff as the computer system had gone down. Nicole was fabulous smiling all the time even though she was under immense pressure. The room was lovely and clean with bottled water on the hostess tray. You do hear noise outside because you're in a city centre, however it's didn't spoil our stay. Breakfast was hot and there was a good selection. We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed for an extra night. I would definitely stay here again.

Awful Hotel!!! Charged twice for the rooms, the noise from the street was ridiculous at night and the receptionist "Colin" was a rude, unhelpful buffoon! He didn't listen when we said we'd already paid on and just demanded the money for the rooms as "it wasn't his fault it wasn't on his system" Never again am I staying here, wish we'd gone to The Abode in Manchester... great hotel with polite and helpful staff!

Booked several rooms here for colleagues and myself. The glazing is of very poor quality so the rooms are incredibly noisy. As it is on a busy road traffic is going all night and people returning from their nights out! The rooms were nice and clean enough though On checkout they took payment twice for the six rooms! Despite us insisting we had already paid, he handled the whole situation very badly, especially as it turns out the problem was with their computer system! An apology was very slow coming forward too! I travel to Manchester a lot but this hotel will not be on my list again!

Ideally located near Piccadilly and all main areas in walking distance. Lovely room with nice extra touches - bath robes, nespresso coffee machine, crystal water glasses. Didn't sleep too well because of noisy guests in corridor and adjacent room. Went down to breakfast at 0940 and the hot buffet breakfast had not been replenished and what was left didn't look great. I did request replenishment from the waitress and some very pale bacon and tomatoes arrived. No more hash browns, baked beans, scrambled egg. Not much fresh fruit either. So not really impressed with breakfast ashame really as the rest of hotel was lovely.

Great facilities, staff pleasant and polite with plenty of snacks and drinks. The meeting room held 20 people with sufficient air con provided. Location is good with plenty and local paid for parking.

Room was very plush, new and spacious. However it was cold and the heating didn't do much even though it was on max all night. Hot/cooked breakfast can only be made by order (ie there's no buffet, only cold breakfast buffet) and we made the mistake of ordering. It took half an hour to arrive and wasn't great when it finally did arrive. If we had known we would have just grabbed something cold or allowed for time.

Stayed here on business recently and can not recommend it enough. Great location and a very well presented hotel. The rooms are modern and clean and the bar area well set out and serving a great range of drinks. Food in hotel was great albeit only had a couple of snacks.

Went at lunchtime with a friend for tapas with a voucher. Deal included 5 tapas and a bottle of red wine, which was quite good value for money, even though there wasn't too much variety of tapas. There was no choice of wine but the wine served was good. However, it was served cold - apparently from a cellar, but more likely from a fridge, so we had to ask for an ice bucket of warm water to bring the wine to a normal drinking temperature. The tapas were nice - small portions, but that was expected. I was a little disappointed not to see Spanish favorites like batatas bravas or tortilla, but there were quite a few vegetarian choices. We did order extra tapas over and above what we got on the voucher as there was not enough food for 2 people to share. The lady who served us was very pleasant but it was apparent she had little experience. When we first arrived we asked to buy cocktails before we had our tapas deal, but she said nobody knew how to make cocktails so, unless we could tell them how to make the cocktails we wanted, then that was not possible ( this despite the big notice at the entrance advertising their cocktails!) It was pleasant and homely service but not really professional. Overall, I think I'd give this place a miss for either cocktails or tapas and go to a more lively and more Spanish bar.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights for a conference 5 min walk away at the convention centre. The hotel is very poor. Check in was terrible, 1 chap and a big queue, took a good 15-20 minutes. Room itself is a let down. A double is 2 singles pushed together - don't be deceived by the pics. Pillows are awful - they are tiny and way, way too soft. Bathroom is pokey, and it's a struggle to get in / out the shower. But the worst thing is the noise outside. Single glazed windows, no matter which room you get, you will hear drunken people every night, week nights or Weekends. Both nights I was awoken on several occasions. Breakfast is poor quality hot and cold food. ( very, very cheap sausages). However, the coffee at breakfast was nice and the only redeeming feature. There surely must be better options in Manchester
