Stayed in the hotel for two nights recently and a pleasure it was. The room was spacious and contemporary whilst being inviting and warm. It was great value for money at £135 for the two nights. The staff (young chap) on checkin was extremely helpful and informative about great locations around the city and where to find the best night life. Although don't be fooled by the heating I made the assumption the radiator wasn't adequate for the room size so turned it on full...... BIG MISTAKE, it was boiling during the night. If I had to suggest an improvement I'd say the mattress wasn't maybe the most expensive, and more luxurious one would make a great stay a perfect one. Thanks townhouse
We stayed on a Saturday night and did not get a wink of sleep for most of the night. First of all we were put in a room that was right next to the lifts and so there were people coming back from nights out but we could cope with that as it was intermittent. The icing on the cake is the night club in the alleyway that blared music out until 4am and the people shouting in the alleyway; they may as well have been in the room with us. The room cost £140 and in all honesty if they had made us aware of the potential noise I probably would have booked somewhere else as I wouldn't have paid £30 for that experience. It was the worst noise I've experienced at a hotel. If you get a room at the back of the hotel then I'd beware; we were on floor 2.
We were recommended to stay here and so we booked a room for a Friday night stay for the theatre. It is on the edge of Chinatown and the gay village and an easy walk to the town hall and all the theatres and shopping areas. A refurbished cotton warehouse, it offers several different styles of rooms. Nice bar and restaurant. We booked an Executive King Room. Very well appointed and worth the extra. Well insulated windows kept the city noise out allowing a generous lie in. Room had huge bed, comfy and plush. Usual tea and coffee making plus coffee machine. Bathroom huge with single basin, bath And power shower in cabinet. Nice sitting area as well. Breakfast fine but routine cold buffet, but hot food served at the table. No onsite parking but underground car park across the road and 30% discount voucher from hotel on checkout makes it reasonable. Overall a great experience and we'll return.
Visited for one night yesterday. Excellent reception staff. Checking in was speedy, friendly staff, efficient. Had paid for an upgraded room. Room was larger than some I've stayed in, clean, with sufficient complementary toiletries. Breakfast left something to be disired. Although there were most items you'd expect at a buffet breakfast ( no fried eggs). . Check out staff again brilliant (Liam).
Great hotel at a reasonable price, friendly from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, great bar service, attentive staff, Thursday March 16th barman on night service on this 24 hour bar went out of his way to make sandwiches, great rooms in this very comfortable hotel
We stayed overnight to attend a concert. Booking In was speedy and reception staff very friendly. We were given a free upgrade and had a stunning room with really high ceilings which was beautifully clean with a great, clean bathroom. All areas of the hotel was great, clean, tidy with friendly staff. We had room service so we could eat whilst we got ready for the evening and had a great, very tasty burger which was huge. We were also celebrating our anniversary and therefore we received a complimentary box of chocolates. There was no part of our experience that wasn't great except perhaps there being no onsite parking and parking a little walk away so Husband dumped me at the door with the bags.
stayed here for the night with my partner and what a lovely hotel. idealy situated with plenty of bars near by. we had a free upgrade to a superior suit which was fantastic. the room was huge as was the bathroom and all was spotlessly clean. my partner said the bed was a bit soft but i found it really comfortable. the noise wasnt too bad but if youre staying in a city this is to be expected. the only reason for me to not to give this fab hotel a 5/5 is the breakfast. the dinning room was well laid out and was not packed when we went at around 9am. we were offered tea and coffee then asked what we would like for breakfast,we both wanted the full english, eggs were as you liked them. when it came it was presented beautifully but then the horror, most of it was deep fried! the black pudding, the hashbrown,it just put me off and my partner but other than that we had a lovely stay and would stay there again.
Lovely Welcome, the decoration of the room was lovely and clean, and the bed was so comfortable. Could hear street noise even though we were on the back end of the hotel. Thought £15.95 for 2 small glasses of wine and lemonade was expensive. Didn't try food as we went out for dinner. We used the car park that was underneath the multi-storey at the rear of the bus station where it was cheaper to park £8 for 24 hours. Would stay again
Very well located for city centre and Piccadilly station. Located in a converted 4/5 story 19th century block the hotel is upmarket, safe, secure and quiet. Friendly staff. Didn't hear external noise as others have. Lovely kingsize bed on 4th floor meant a comfortable sleep and lie in. breakfast until 11.00 at weekend and worth booking the night before. Recommend.
Enjoyed a recent stay, hotel perfectly placed for Restaurants & bars also the Palace Theatre...staff were great, room was spacious, modern & spotlessly clean... Will rebook when next in Manchester & no hesitation in recommending...
