My Husband treated me to Afternoon Tea here with a Wowcher Voucher that I think was about £24! I was expecting it to be really good as the website it says it's usually £25 each. Unfortunately I was pretty disappointed. We got 3 quarter triangle sandwiches each which was ham and mustard, egg mayo (we think as it was tasteless) and cheese n chutney. We had a square of Victoria Sponge, mini macaroon, Chocolate brownie and a piece of chocolate slab, none of which were amazing. In my opinion the sweet to savoury ratio was all wrong. The scones were hard and one was more than half the size than the other and inedible, so we decided to share the larger one. It was served with whipped cream and strawberry jam whereas I would have expected clotted cream due to the website price. The only nice thing was the Prosecco and my friend enjoyed her coffee although it was bitter without a couple of sugars. I don't think it was worth the £24 never mind if we'd have paid £25 each! I have only given 2 stars as the hotel is nice and the staff were lovely otherwise it would have been 1!

Hotel is in a fab location! We stayed as we were seeing a show at the opera house. Arrived to a warm friendly welcome! Great room which was well equipped and very clean! Mattress was to soft for my liking and pillows a tad on the hard side. We were on the second floor but could still hear the hustle and bustle at 11pm. However we expected this being in a city centre. Breakfast again had attentive friendly staff and the hot buffet was nice. Overall a fuss free pleasant stay. We return in the future and also recommend.

I was here on a business trip. Hotel was booked for me First impressions were very good. Staff and reception very friendly. Room on first impression large and clean. A few issues. Room was cold and heater only worked when cars in holder so it was cold when I came back later. Shower was ok but did not refresh me up that well - one of my key points Bed was comfortable BUT pillows were too hard so I woke with a crick in my neck. Should be 2 types of pillows. Also curtains did not black out all street light - came round the side Bill was not cheap either Good but expensive and poor sleep hit the ratings

We visited as a large group of friends staying one busy Saturday. We received a warm welcome. Hotel is stylish, rooms are nice and a decent size. Our bathroom had a bath and separate shower. One criticism would be the breakfast, poached egg was overlooked more hard boiled and the sausages were awful. Overall a great city centre hotel and we booked on laterooms and got a great price. Would go back.

To start with it cost us £99 for the night of a drake concert - bargain! Until they told us to pay an addition £50 deposit which we will receive back into our bank account "in a few days" the cheek!! Rooms are lovely but I have not had a worse night sleep ever. Constant noise in this area of town .. 6.40 am I'm typing this and music is still thumping. Apparently the people of manc love to beep their horns all night too!! Horrible traffic!! If you don't want a good nights sleep - stay here!! Shame about the noise cos lovely hotel

I stay in a lot of hotels on my business travels and I needed an efficient one night stay in Manchester. This hotel was impressive. At a very good all in price, hotel staff were friendly, the room was well appointed, good size, the water was hot, the shower, perhaps a touch slow, was effective. Everything was spotless, well equipped. The one issue I had with the room safe was dealt with within 5 minutes. Breakfast was freshly cooked, and a blessed relief from the ghastly dried up heat lamp buffets that many top rated hotels produce, copious amounts of hot coffee, cheery friendly service. The hotel is very weĺl located as well, walking distance from most major landmarks and buildings. A revisit is a certainty.

Big issue with the parking, as there is no hotel parking. You receive a 30% discount from the Q parking lot, which is less than a 10 minute walk. Cost me an additional £ 30 for parking. Room was clean but with very limited TV channels.

Stayed here for a one night stopover and prepaid via, however, upon check in there was no record of my booking at all. Provided my confirmation of payment and the receptionist asked us to take a seat in the lounge so he could have a look into it. Ordered a couple of pints of Peroni which came to £10.80 whilst we were waiting for our booking to be sorted. Probably wouldn't have had drinks if check in had gone better so small extra expense there. Anyhow, as it transpired the booking hadn't been pulled through from but they managed to locate it so all sorted, although I wonder what would have happened if the hotel was fully booked? Didn't eat here as breakfast wasn't included in the room price (£81) but popped up the road to All Bar One for food instead. Hotel itself is lovely, room very nice and location is fantastic. We had a good view which was nice. Tea and coffee facilities, and iron and ironing board on the room. Nice toiletries as well. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I'd defo return if could get better deal on price to perhaps include brekkie.

Stayed in this hotel for two nights whilst visiting my daughter who was studying in Manchester. Incredibly comfortable room, stylish and clean and great value for money. The hotel is very central to the heart of Manchester, close to the Art Gallery, museum, theatre, shops, etc. The reception area and bar is lovely and the staff very helpful. Highly recommended.

Arrived last Friday at lunch and the standard room was ready, it was an ok size and on the fifth floor facing onto the main road. That night we had very little sleep hearing sirens and people shouting down below. Next morning we mentioned this to a young man on reception who offered us a new room, we came back later to be offered a king room on the fourth floor at the back of the hotel. The king room was a far better room with separate shower, we did still however experience some noise. We had breakfast both mornings which was help urself and you ordered the cooked stuff, I personally prefer to help urself to it all. The hotel itself is decorated nice and in a good position but if you expect a full nights sleep this isn't for you.
