My wife and I booked afternoon tea and were delighted with the the whole experience. Friendly staff, great service and wonderful food. Will definitely go again. I highly recommend. Many thanks for a fantastic afternoon tea.

We stayed for 1 night on Good Friday. Check in was efficient & the room was ready at 3pm as expected. The hotel feels calm & welcoming & the staff were helpful & pleasant. The room had a king sized bed & was a good size. It was clean & the bathroom was very large with a lovely power shower. The bed was comfortable but the pillows are small & I was woken in the night by noise from the street. My husband, however, slept through it all until the bins were emptied at 8am. We paid extra for breakfast which was delicious. A small but adequate continental selection with a good selection of made to order hot food. Great central location, 5 min walk to the centre. Definitely recommend at the price & would stay again.

Greeted by the receptionist Blessing who was extremely professional and friendly. The room was wonderful, bathroom was spotless as was the room, the bed was really comfy too, before we went out for the evening we had a light meal very tasty.when we went down for breakfast which by the way was perfect my poached eggs were the best! And our waitress asked if we wanted toast with it which she said it wouldn’t be too much trouble for her to do! Again excellent service. All in all we would definitely stay again and recommend the hotel to family and friends. Thankyou

On the outside, it is a like a beautiful art nouveau building, with spacious rooms. However, the windows were grimy, some stains on curtains and other places. The rooms are not brightly lit. The breakfast was good. The staff were nice if not stretched. On the last day, there was one member of start at the reception and a long queue of patrons. While my room was at the front of the hotel, I enjoyed a city view, my colleague had a room in the back and said it was very noisy. Another patron said the same thing. So avoid a room in the back and request for room with front of hotel city view.

We were upgraded to a suite which was very nice. The lounge area was bright and quiet with a settee, table & chairs and large TV ( although we could not get the TV to work). Lovely bathroom with bath, shower and two basins and then good size bedroom although dark as no window and subtle lights. Very comfortable bed but the small size pillows were very hard and only one soft pillow in the cupboard. We did not eat or drink but the ground floor area was pleasant and the reception staff were friendly. Very good central location. Will certainly consider coming back here again.

Stayed here on 26/03/2018 and it was such a lovely stay. The reception staff were really friendly and the room was absolutely gorgeous. Got bought up a room service menu straight away when we realised one wasn’t in our room. The hotel is in a really good position making it easy to access local restaurants and bars just a short walk away. The bed was massive and super comfy and I wish I could’ve stayed for more then one night. When leaving the receptionist who’s name I didn’t catch, was really lovely and told us some good places to have breakfast. Overall couldn’t fault a thing and would definitely stay again. Thank you!

I recently stayed for 1 night on business and it was very good for my requirements. It is close to the centre of Manchester if you want to eat out. The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast staff, especially “Jordan” were extremely helpful. The wi-fi is also very good. Great stay and good value. I hope to return very soon. Gordon Mac.

It's comfortable and well appointed rather than the last word in luxury, but all in all a very competent package especially for business travellers. The essentials are perfect: central location, large rooms, excellent WiFi, big no nonsense bathrooms, rapid room service with a good menu and a hearty breakfast. Unusually for a UK hotel, the individual heating/air con works perfectly and silently. Downside: decor feels slightly 'lived in' and despite lots of lighting options, the rooms tend to be dark.

Staff were friendly, the room was gorgeous and clean and the hotel was situated right in the heart of Manchester. Would be ideal for couples/group.of friends going for a night out. Situated right near China town and canal st. Only downfall- no parking and had to pay £10.40 to park over night over 1 mile away.

My husband and I had a rare, childfree night and decided to go to Manchester for the night. It was very much last minute and booked the hotel a few days before for the bargain price of £69. The location was around a ten minute walk from Piccadilly train station which was fine but would of been a trek if our cases were any heavier. It is located on a busy street with restaurants, bars and clubs only a stones throw away. Very easy to find though with a little assistance from good old google maps. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly reception lady who checked us in and explained everything to us. We were on the fifth floor so had a good view and no issues of noise as reported in some other reviews. The rooms were nice and clean and similar to a premier inn apart from lovely complimentary toiletries. With tea making facilities, a hairdryer, iron and ironing board in the room we had everything we could need. The staff even brought us complimentary toothbrushes and toothpaste after we realised we had forgotten ours! In all a very pleasant stay. We very much enjoyed it so a big thumbs up and thank you from The Ewarts 👍
