Haven't been here for a few years but has had a refurb and is very pleasant. Room was clean and fresh. Ample parking with lady driver spaces too. Only a few minutes drive from the athletics arena. Friendly staff, and a good breakfast.
This hotel is a great base if you are wanting to visit the Etihad Stadium. Brisk walk time to Etihad was 35 minutes each way. Excellent check in. The room itself was a standard Holiday Inn Room although it did have a damp smell to it. A great bar, that serves pizza late. Excellent breakfast.
I stayed at the Holiday Inn Manchester – Central Park for just one night whilst in town for business as it was conveniently located. I had stayed there before some time ago and it seems to have been refurbished. The staff were very friendly and helpful, I was allocated a nice executive room which had ample space especially for working, was nice and clean, bath room adequate with amenities. There is a large carpark. I had dinner in the restaurant in the evening, it is adjacent to the bar and open plan, menu was OK not a great deal of selection but after a long day traveling was more than adequate for me but the Chardonnay was warm!, again the staff were very pleasant though. Breakfast was fine with eggs cooked to order apart from the buffet and again very nice staff. Very convenient for work, moderately priced and would stay again but it is not exactly located in the most picturesque area of Manchester.
stayed here for one night with my husband . the staff were great . the hotel was very clean . the breakfast was lovely . this is a modern hotel in my opinion and in good taste . i would definately stay here again .
It is a couple of months since I last stayed here but once again I could only have a lukewarm shower. The same excuse - a problem with our boiler which is being looked at. This really is an issue that needs resolving permanently. The saving grace is the staff here who are all attentive, helpful and anxious to please.
Aircon not working. Dated furnitures. Very old hotel. Staffs not picking up calls at reception. Far from city. Bad experience. Overcharged us via their own ihg member website booking system. Dont even bother about their own mistakes.
I have stayed in this hotel before, it has had a bar make over which has improved the area, it still lacks a good feel to it neither one thing more the other ie bar or restaurant its almost like a café The food is a bit basic for what is listed a Holiday Inn hotel. Its a bit on the low side for this classification I would have put it more in the Express bracket. For example in my room the char was broken and the sink tap was very loose making using it difficult, its a basic housekeeping/ maintenance/ comms issue. The room was clean as was the linen. the rooms can suffer from road noise outside especially on a morning as its a busy road. rooms on the back are better for that. The staff were helpful but I had one issue which was quite alarming in that someone started to come into my room in the evening. I can only assume it was a staff member with a pass key or someone had issued two keys. Not nice I should have dealt with it there and then but I was already in bed and forgot in the morning. This should not happen full stop!
I stayed for one night attracted by easy parking with good accessibility to city centre. Bus stop very near. Room was clean and spacious. staff friendly. I don't normally like shower over bath but this was a good one. Room was to the rear on the ground floor with no traffic noise. I tried the bar but the young man pouring my beer I would not describe as a barman. We've all got to learn.
1 night stay for business. Nice hotel . Modern. Good reception with friendly staff. Bar was very open and comfortable. Bar staff were again very friendly. Confusing to get meals though. Was not sure if you went to bar or waitress came to you. Could do both I found out! Room disappointing. I got a Disabled room so had walk-in shower which had a chair in it. And sink lowered. I am over 6ft so inconvenient. Room comfortable enough. I was on ground floor so had some outside noise from customers. Room had tv, hairdryer, tea facilities. Free WiFi is ALWAYS a bonus. Ideally located 5mins from Etihad stadium. Overall satisfactory. Would I recommend? Yes.
After a long journey, warm and friendly greeting from reception. Modern hotel, clean rooms and facilities. Staff throughout were, friendly & courteous. Breakfast was easy going and good choice, just whats needed in the morning.
