End of summer trip

We go to Mammoth once a year and have stayed in various locations. This condo is in a great spot, a little way up Lake Mary Rd. It is quieter than spots in town. The condo itself was great with enough room for 6. The pool/spa and game room were also a nice spot to hang out. We will be staying here again!

Good place, good location

We arrived right after a big storm but there was time to get things perfect. The place is spacious nice, beds are comfortable but missed the mark on a few things. It was not cleaned when we walked in at 5pm and the power was out in our building. Spoke to property company and they apologized for missing that due to storm and had a cleaner come over right away while we went to get dinner. Power was still out when we got back. No problem, I camp a lot so was more than happy to start a fire but there was only a lighter and matches, no kindlin or an axe and very few small pieces of wood. I know how to start a fire and was just not able to get it going. Luckily, I had brought my heater buddy and propane that i camp with in case of emergencies, and i was very glad i did. We got settled, and were warm enough to go to sleep. Bathroom sink drain stopper was loose and wouldn't stay up. I had to put the rod back in and tighten it. Only took a few minutes but we shouldn't have to do that in a premium rental. Lastly, the couch is super old and needs to be replaced. We used extra sheets to cover it. Otherwise, the place was nice, kitchen updated with all appliances and amenities. We really had a great trip which is why i rated 4 stars but more attention to detail needed.

Great Value

This place was definitely better than I had expected! The pictures on the listing don't do it justice, it's very nice and very cute! It was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was in a good spot too, a little ways up the hill from the main strip. Overall very pleased with out stay

Great place to stay

Centrally located and clean and warm. Loved the fireplace. Only drawback was we could hear the footsteps of the people above us. Thankfully they were not partying.

Nice Mammoth Condo

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. Nice that there is a shuttle stop right across the street. It should be noted that the Orange line comes every 30 minutes, which is less frequently than the other Mammoth shuttles, so it's a good idea check the schedule so you're not waiting out in the cold for too long. The kitchen was well equipped. One thing missing was a cutting board (we looked and could not find one) so I had to cut up some meat on the stone counter. Upon check out, when I told management, she told me that if I had called, they would have brought me one. Also, the garbage disposal did not work. I usually check before I put food in it. Not really a big deal. Insulation/soundproofing between second and first floors could be better. We heard our upstairs neighbors stomping around early in the morning. All in all, we were very pleased with the condo.

Great condition, clean and comfortable, rugs look new. The fireplace was great, very effective. The condo is right around the corner from the game room and jacuzzi. The location is a 10 minute walk to Canyon lodge, I timed it. I would drop the family off, drive back to the condo to park then walk back to the lodge (1st half is an uphill walk at ~7,500 feet so may be difficult for some people). Suggestions; if you use the jacuzzi, make sure to wear a bathing suit you don't care about because the chlorine is really strong and will discolor the suit. Also, the top bunk could use a railing as my 9 year old was scared to sleep in it for fear of falling out. Would definately rent again.

Very impressed!

My family and I were very impressed with this condo! It was much better looking in person than in the photos, which were not bad at that. Had all the coziness we could expect, and provided us with all our needs for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. No complaints from us about this unit or the service provided.

Cozy place in a great location!

The condo itself is great! It's a cozy little place just perfect for our stay in Mammoth. The location is close to the village and was an easy bus ride away. My only disgruntlement was the management company. Although small, it was a bit of an inconvenience to pick up and drop off the key. We were also given the wrong info for the wifi and had no easily accessible contact information for after hours. Once we did reach someone, she was very pleasant and helpful. Other than the minor details, it was a great place and we would stay here again.

Not cleaned properly :(

The condo looks good, but several dirty areas made us wonder what else was not cleaned properly (which made for an uncomfortable stay). There were several housekeeping issues including dirty counters in the kitchen, dirty towels left in a bathroom drawer, dirty socks left in a dresser drawer, dirty trashcan, plus a bottle cap and hair band on the floor of the bedroom. Two of the five lights were out over the dining table and a towel bar in the bathroom was broken/one side unattached from the wall. We had issues connecting to the wi-fi. Long story short: the property management company gave us the wrong password. Only by pure luck were we able to guess the correct one. There were no instructions on how to use the TV/cable/DVD or what cable system was available so that we could figure out what was on and what channel (especially since the cable did cut out often), but we figured it out. The place sleeps 6, but we didn't use the sofa bed. So, we cannot comment on its comfort. The other beds were fine. There were only 4 large dinner plates, but enough of the other dishes and utensils for 6. On the better side: The key pick-up and drop-off was quick and easy. The condo location is good (less than 3 miles from Canyon Lodge). It's ground level, but there is very little sound insulation from the upstairs neighbors; we heard every step they took. There was plenty of firewood (although no fire starters). The toaster and blender were helpful. It would be nice if there was a list of all the appliances available in order to know what to pack. A griddle for pancakes would have been nice, as well as a rubber spatula. Overall, it was a decent choice. But, I would hesitate to rent again simply based on the lack of cleanliness.

Stay here! It's remodeled and way nicer than the photos!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this condo. I expected something just average but it was great. It's the perfect size for a couple and it is much, much nicer than the photos depict! This place has been recently remodeled. The carpet, tile and fixtures are new and the furnishings are what I would describe as "Tuscan Hunting Lodge". The kitchen (all new appliances) and baths are nicely upgraded and the living room furniture is large and comfy. There are premium channels on the TV and a nice flat screen in the bedroom and living room. Bring your own HDMI cable to access your streaming services from your own device as the TVs are not internet ready. There are wall heaters in the living room and bedroom so this makes for an extremely dry environment which caused us nasal irritation- and that is saying a lot given we live in the desert near Palm Springs. If I had it to do over, I would bring a humidifier. There is parking directly in front of the unit for a quick in and out and you can be at the Canyon Lodge to ski in just a couple of minutes. This is a downstairs unit and it was very peaceful until upstairs neighbors arrived. Don't know if they were extra noisy or the walls are just that thin but we once they arrived it seemed like a heard of deaf elephants moved in. Their TV noise was very loud and their every footstep audible. This unit was very clean with one exception: the rugs in the kitchen and bath needed to be laundered so I wasn't comfortable standing on them due to the creep out factor. But would I stay here again? Yep! It's a solid 4.5! Cleaner rugs, internet ready tvs, a humidifier, and electrical outlets with USB ports would get this place a 5.

Absolutely amazing and beautiful!

It's a full kitchen, fire place ready and worth every penny. We got snowed in and didn't even mind. A plow comes and plows the parking lot, the walk/drive to canyon Lodge takes about five minutes and it's just perfect. I want to book it for next year already!
