Had a pleasant off season stay here and would recommend. It’s an easy walk into the action but nice quiet location. The breakfast was good and all the staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. The pool area isn’t that big and the walls between the rooms are possibly a little thin are my only minor complaints.
One of the best hotels I have ever stayed. Welcoming staff, wonderful view, the conference was organized very well. And they actually stick to the towel rule "if it is not one the floor I am still reusing it".
We stayed at this beautiful hotel for three days in February attending a conference. The hotel is right next to the sea, to the point that you feel at sea. This is fine in good weather. But when the winds blow and the sea is rough it can be a little scary. The hotel offers eccellent breakfast. Food was also very good at lunch and coffee breaks. Dinner in the Bistrot restaurant is good if you choose well (avoid pasta dishes). The rooms are spacious and clean. Service is excellent. The conference room was good, but the wifi connection was completely inadequate.
This hotel/resort is just spectacular! The reception, bar and restaurant areas are beautifully bright and spacious, adorned with beautiful flower arrangements, really attractive furniture and features. The room we had was a good size and overlooked the pool and terrace areas. We had a partial view of the sea, which was wonderful at night. (The more expensive sea view rooms must be heavenly.) The attention to detail was lovely eg. Our bottled water and little individual chocolates replenished each day. The spa and indoor pool is really smart and stylish too. The range of hot foods for breakfast was vast and delicious- it also included some very nice Maltese specialties. We sampled the bar food, which was absolutely superb and I was only sorry that we didn’t try the delicious looking afternoon teas which were on offer. One thing I would say is that this time of year was perfect for us, as there were no children and it was beautifully quiet. The stacks of unused baby seats in the dining room made me think, it might be a different experience in high season. Finally, without exception, the staff at the resort were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Cannot wait to go back! 😊
On a two night stay at the Radisson, it was easy review this 5 star hotel. My wife's birthday was the occasion and there was a bottle of wine, cake and balloons to greet us in the sea view room. The bed was king size and great for comfort with different sized pillows/cushions. Large screen TV, with pay-as-you-go films, well stocked mini bar, tea/coffee making facilities and free daily water, together with an en suite bathroom/shower with shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and creme. Also there were plenty of towels and facecloths. The hotel has an indoor pool with jacuzzi and outdoor pool that were functioning even at the start of February. It also has a full spa on the same level 1st floor. Kontiki restaurant that hosts breakfast shares this floor. Breakfast is a more calmer than the usual 'free for all' that other hotels may offer. Tea and coffee is brought to your table, the food is unhurried variety buffet style. Gluten and Coeliac diets are also catered for. The Bridge bar provides lounge entertainment with an easy listening theme - piano bar/singer. The Bistro serves some excellent dishes - swordfish, beetroot salad, octopus pasta with lots of vegetarian options on offer and dessert heaven. The tomato puree/garlic butter/ warm bread starter was particularly great. Many thanks to Vanessa and Noel on the front desks.
Whilst travelling me and my husband generally opt for mid-range hotels and like to be located in the middle of everything. However, for our recent trip to Malta we managed to find a superb deal at the Raddison Blu Hotel (St Julians). We wouldn't have even considered this hotel if it wasn't for the deal but having spent 8 nights there, I can say I am extremely pleased with our decision. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking at a break in Malta and want to stay a bit away from the crowded Valetta area. (recommended) We had their premium suite, with a wrap around balcony overlooking the sea. The room was extremely spacious, the bathroom was of high quality and contained a separate deep bathtub together with a double shower enclosure. Usually it is the little things that turn a good hotel into a fantastic hotel. The little gestures like complimentary dental kits, bath salts, water, bedroom slippers, toweling gowns and the little chocolates left on your bed daily once housekeeping have been in. We had the breakfast included as part of our hotel stay, but if you opt for a standard room there is an extra charge for this. As it was included in our package, the breakfast was fine. It wasn't the best but not the worst either. We had a nice selection of cold and warm options in the breakfast buffet and a number of live cooking stations. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and were happy to go out of their way to assist us with anything. From the comfort of our hotel we were able to sort out a car rental for our trip to the nearby island of Gozo. I e-mailed the hotel directly a few weeks before our trip and notified them of our arrival and they hotel was able to agree an early check in without an added charge. Whilst staying here we utilised their indoor swimming pool and sauna, which were of decent size and well kept. I was able to use the swimming pool in my 'burkini' without any issues. If the hotel can improve the below things it will become a 5/5: Indoor swimming pool was quite cold, found the majority of fellow pool users to have the same opinion. I am sure in the blistering heat this temperature is fine, but in December weather we could do with warmer water. Maybe offer a shuttle service to Valletta bus station throughout the day, or even to Spinoli bus stop to make it easier for the hotel patrons to get into the touristy area. A Huge thank you to the staff there who made our winter-sun holiday wonderful and relaxing. We will definitely be coming back! We have taken lots of memories back with us, especially the wonderful night when we witnessed the 'supermoon' rising over the sea. Rating: 4.5/5
I was at this property just last week with my husband and we stayed at Radisson for 2 nights since we were there for work. I have to say that the property is well maintained, the staff is very smiley and helpful. We didn't get a chance to try the bar or dinner/lunch but the breakfast choice was good and the cook making eggs was lovely and very chatty! The room was really big and comfortable. We even had a huge balcony with a great view. We realised that the heating was still turned on and since we had flown from Ireland(where it was literally snowing) we were roasted in the room! The staff immediately arranged for a fan for us and even gave us a late checkout. Overall a good experience would definitely stay at the property again :)
what a find, fantastic people, fantastic breakfast including bubbly !, the hotel is in a great location, great executive lounge, also enjoyed feeding the staff with chocolate for their team meeting, we want to come back....
Let's start with the 2 negatives. The location is a little away from local shops and eateries, so if your walking a lot bear that in mind. On the plus side it is nice and quiet and away from the more touristy spot which has lot of open fronted bars and clubs. The local bus is an alternative ( #14 ) but while the stop is close by, it does go round the houses getting to hotel and often stops at a park and ride for 5 to 10 minutes which got frustrating. Also while we were staying there was a lot of noise due to both interior and exterior renovations, I wouldn't have minded if these started at a sensible time, but 8 am to 9 am was unacceptable. However, the hotels response was very good, a same day room upgrade on other side of hotel offset the annoyance at being woken up early. Otherwise the hotel is stunning, the staff friendly, the food was lovely and it has a amazing sea front location with an extended outdoor pool area right by the sea. 3 pools in all, sauna, tennis courts and best of all a couple of Maltese cats who have made the outdoor area their lounging area and add a friendly vibe to an already relaxing area. The hotel is also immaculately clean and smells fantastic. Well worth choosing if visiting Malta, this is a genuine 5 star experience that will live long in our memories.
The Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Right from the start, Wendy, and a particularly Hungarian young lady were fantastic. Because the hotel was not fully-booked, they suggested that we might consider a room upgrade (at an extra but very reasonable cost). They went to all the bother of showing us the room we had booked , and also the possible suite offered as an upgrade - there was no doubt we made the right decision going for the upgrade. It was marvellous, and worth every euro extra that we paid! Great food, freshly prepared every morning at breakfast (especially good was the bread-and-butter pudding!!!). We ate in the Bistro, and enjoyed choosing good tasty fare from an extensive menu. Barfood was also plentiful and reasonably-priced. I would like to mention Judit Sandor (Guest Relations) in particular, who was terrifically attentive to every guest, and on a daily basis made it her duty to check how things were for all. Location - the one slight drawback is that it takes over an hour to get into Valetta. The Number 14 bus, although timetabled to run every twenty minutes, in reality runs when it feels like it! On the return journey from Valetta you could be forgiven for thinking that the end of the journey is in Pembroke Park-and-Ride Car Park; persevere, the bus will eventually continue on it's way back to Valetta until finally the "Hotel Corinthia" (just above Radisson Blu) comes into view. Ask someone to nudge you, because the bust stop, a long-time in coming, is suddenly upon you!
