We booked this hotel after reading the reviews on trip adviser- good call! We had a junior sweet with breakfast included. We had an ocean view and the wind blew nicely through the room. The staff from Caroline at the front desk to the Super nice young British waitress in the morning breakfast were so friendly. The hotel room was perfectly clean and the shower was super hot. The breakfast was well stocked and you could sit outside. Additionally breakfast went until 1000 so you could sleep in. The bus stop was right outside so we could take the bus everywhere. We will be back again.
The Hotel is well managed and the Staff are attentive, there is some building work going on at the moment so during the day there is some drilling, this didn’t start until after 10:00 and had finished by 15:30. I would recommend a room with a sea view over looking the bay. The breakfast is a must and sets you up for the day. There is a wide range of restaurants on site attached to both hotels, be careful not to be caught out by offers in a restaurant, which our actually in one of the other restaurants. The room comes with discount offers for all the restaurants. There is also a wide choice of bars and restaurants just down the road. There is a bus service straight outside the Hotel going into Valletta cost €1.50. There is a tower to tower walk from the sister hotel on a Thursday which I would recommend, it’s about 2.5 miles along the beach the tour is by Sam a local rambler who explains all about the towers plus the local fauna and flora. Yes he talks about the British Army in Malta, Pembroke barracks is where the hotel stands 30,000 troops were based there.
Room clean and tidy. Better to book with sea view. Ample storage space. Good house keeping. Asked for a quiet room but there was construction noise above the room, we raised this with staff who eventually compromised to upgrade us to a deluxe room minus the free minibar, for free. No hotel manual/information left in room, therefore no advice on how to checkout and times for breakfast/cleaning room. Good selection for breakfast, better to arrive early. Bus stop outside hotel, however buses could be very late. Helpful and reasonably priced taxi service attached to hotel. Short walk to St Julians which has many restaurants and shops. Good number of sunbeds, clean pool area. Umbrella blew off in the wind, luckily hurting no-one, no pool attendant to help place umbrellas. Informative tourist information advisor within hotel. We ate at Vinotheque, one of the hotels restaurants, which was average. We also ate at the Caviar and Bull, within the hotel grounds, which was very nice. Overall, enjoyable stay.
We were looking for a hotel that had a good location for a weekend break. After a lot of conversations and looking at reviews we decided on the marina in Saint Julian. On Arrival the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had a superior Seaview room. The room was spotless with great views over the bay. The location is superb and the bus stops outside which can pretty much take you anywhere. The hotel has a few restaurant surrounding it The Veronique ( spelt wrong I think ) is lovely but the caviar and bull is a must visit. Upon returning to our room one evening we found a birthday cake on the table. I hadn’t told anybody it was my wife’s birthday The staff had just gone the extra mile to make our stay at little better. There is a wonderful lady in the reception area whose name sadly I do not remember, she can help you with any trip or questions you have and she was a godsend you have to plan things to do to make sure you get the best from your visit and she was not only vey pleasant but incredibly helpful. Lastly I would like to thank and compliment Mr Galea the hotel manager And his staff.. Thank you we had a great time.
This was my first trip to Malta, and based on the superb experience I received, it will be the first of many. Every aspect of the experience was seamless. The rooms were very spacious and in pristine condition. The staff were very professional and super helpful. There was a great range of restaurants. The breakfast buffet in the morning was superb. All in all a great hotel, and I'm thankful to all concerned.
The hotel is set up for warm weather as both pools are outside although you could use their sister hotel next door which has an indoor pool. The staff were friendly and helpful in all respects, however we felt the bedroom we had was in need of updating and the bathroom seemed grubby around the floor tiles. Our room was situated underneath the breakfast restaurant and we were awoken to scraping chairs on the floor tiles above our heads each morning. We mentioned to the Reception staff and they did offer to move us but we decided we didn't want the upheaval with only a few days to go. We invested in ear plugs instead. We were offered a bottle of wine for the inconvenience which was nice. The last couple of days of our stay we were unable to sit on our balcony during the day for workman carrying out maintenance nearby in the hotel. Plenty to do around the hotel even in March and we felt very safe in the area. Overall we much our enjoyed our first trip to Malta.
We stayed here for 5 nights. It is a relatively quick and easy taxi ride from Malta airport to hotel. 20e set price which was reasonable. Check in staff are very friendly. Our room was lovely with a huge bed and was always very well cleaned. The bathrooms are old design and need updated though. Our room had an amazing view. It was gorgeous. This view is one of the reasons we chose the Marina Hotel. The sea had many different colours of blue to look at everyday....it was just lovely. The hotel is in a safe area. Restaurants on site are nice and offer good variety. The indoor pool was also a good option. Overall a nice property. We enjoyed our stay here and indeed found Malta to be a lovely island for some winter sun.
From checking in to checking out our overall experience of this hotel was excellent. The staff whether on the desk, in the breakfast restaurant or room servicing were all helpful, efficient and friendly. The room (7303) had a wonderful view, good decor and was very comfortable and of good size. We took their BB option and felt this was a good decision as we found the choice & quality of the food (buffet style breakfasts) very good with even an ‘egg chef’. Each time we needed somthing it was provided quickly with no fuss (example ironing board and iron) and room service was also excellent. We tried 3 of the 5 or 6 restaurants on the whole complex and were happy with all.
The hotel is located beside the Corinthia bay with good views from the sea view rooms. The nightlife hotspot Paceville is just a few minutes walk. Malta has good public transport connectivity & the bus stop is just outside the hotel. Hotel has nice pool just beside the bay although we could not use it due to cold weather. Excellent staff & service. Early check in, taxi booking, boarding pass prints etc. You ask it and it's a yes from them. Spent a nice time here & would recommend for sure.
Lovely large room with very comfy bed and pillows, had a decent size balcony. We had bed and breakfast but you could upgrade on a daily basis to half if you wanted, also had vouchers in rooms off the restaurants on site. Great breakfast lovely terrace to enjoy breakfast on if the weather allows it. Enjoyed the sports bar on the complex staff great in all areas. Would recommend it and also go back to this hotel, there’s a bus stop right outside it that the local and also tour buses stop so great for getting out and about.
