For the price it was spot on i don't know why a few people were moaning perhaps they should spend more if they want more, I had a balcony sea view room and the bed was comfy with cleaning done daily although the lift was slow whats the hurry (no one is in malta). The location was perfect 300metres from all the local cruises and the staff like all the maltese people were so friendly, Maria was particularly helpful with info and daily confirming all my excursions for me many thanks Maria, breakfast was fine, sliced meats, cheese, cereals, toast grapefruit n orange juice n coffee, quite sufficient for most folk especially at this price.thank you Roma hotel for helping my holiday go smoothly.
The hotel itself was nothing special, mostly bargain hunters (like me). Staff very friendly. If I hadn't booked a room with an ocean view I would have been very disappointed. My biggest mistake was also booking half board. The hotel has no restaurant of its own, so they send you several hundred meters down the street to a pizza / sandwich place. So don't expect a great meal or local specialities. I ended up using my meal vouchers for beer and getting a good meal elsewhere.
My partner and I stayed here for 1 night before heading back to the UK. The only plus point about this place is the nice view! It's stuck in the 90's, stinks of smoke everywhere and needs a complete overhaul. Surprisingly we did sleep ok, but I think that was more to do with the heat than the lumpy bed and pillows! Breakfast isn't worth mentioning.
Basic hotel which is clean and tidy. The staff are also friendly and helpful. The sea view is pleasant and beach and pools are only a stones throw away.Across the road are numerous bars and eating places which were very good and value for money. The harbour area and bars are only 10mins walk away.
This is cheap hotel, close to seashore. Everything is like in any cheap hotel, simple furniture, hair dryer in room not working. Breakfast simple, same every day. Location is good, close to ferry to Valleta. Elevator was very small, slow. Staff was whispering some insults for unknown reason, some of sexual nature. I guess that is their kind of fun. Or they were making some ambiguous comments, mentioning animals. I was trying not to pay attention too much to them. Do not want to hear of that place ever again.
The hotel has very good location- bus stops are very close nearby, also the best restaurant in the island is at the ground floor. It is clean and the staff is very nice and helpful. However the beds are horrible, the breakfast is poor and the bathroom had plumming problems.
Where to start it was dirty, no window to open, no outside space, no pool, no view, I wouldn't stay here again even if it was free. No Wi-Fi, breakfast area was dirty. The lift was broken when we arrived and it broke down twice more over the next 3 days. We hated going back to the room even to sleep, please don't book this hotel.
It is annoying to me when people write detrimental reports about places because they are expecting more for what they have paid. This is a lower end priced hotel and does exactly what it says on the tin - the accommodation and breakfast buffet are limited but more than adequate. The staff are friendly and polite and the rooms are cleaned daily whilst the hotel sits in a decent location. It is not the Hilton, but you are not paying Hilton prices!!!!!.
Basic accommodation but clean and has all basics needed just need to add own tea, sugar milk as give all means of making but no ingredients. Very friendly and helpful staff.Very helpful when transfer time back to airport was messed up. It's a budget place so if you're fussy don't go but at the price you can't argue. I've stayed in places 3 times the price in England that were inferior. Great for getting about by bus as stop to Valetta over the road. Very good restaurant on ground floor if weather bad, nothing to do with hotel serves excellent seafood. All in all good value, has character which I like.
I can't believe this Hotel doesn't have free internet. They try to charge 6 euro a day for internet?. Is this a joke?. These are basic amenities for a three star hotel. Even if the wifi isn't free (which it should be) to then try and charge 6 euro a day is an insult to their customers.
