- To be avoided! 5 vacation days, in a room where barely entered the bed, balcony or used to date you or put a Chair, never change the sheets, towels changed on request only once, never cleaned the room, merely pulling the bed covers and spray deodorant, (bad cleaning) no bath kit, I had to buy I need, broken shower head are not held to the wall , faux bathroom window, light in the room could barely-existent dress, pure light bulb burned out and I myself have had to pick her up and bring her to make change, but equally dark room. I don't know what to relate the many good reviews, maybe you don't know what a 3 stars and a clean well run hotel. Do not recommend it strongly!!

Second time of staying at the hotel, staff always friendly and helpful. Location is spot on, although can be a little noisy as its close to bars, restaurants and is in middle of junction. But would still come back as its in the middle of everything. Pool is OK on the roof, great for just a quick dip to cool off, perhaps some umbrellas would be good but there is a shaded part if you need a break from the sun. The wifi still not as good in the rooms, struggled to connect at all, but always sat in reception. Another great trip, hopefully will return next year.

Everyday clean room, good food, but everday it was same and personal was nice. The hotel has good location. Near by is bus station, i think 5 min walking. Also there is near by the aquarium and a lot of shops and restaurants.

The reviews were good and bad but I wanted to make my own mind up. Swift check in, reception staff helpful, clean spacious room but no balcony (advertised as economy room). Plenty hot water, good flushing toilet. Lots of clean white towels most days. Beds made every day. Shower doors very flimsy, dangerous for children. Toilet seat dug you on the back when you sat on the toilet (room 314). Nice small pool on roof top which was a suntrap area. Pool 1 metre deep right accross but you can still swim in it. Pool tiles above water level got grimy quick but were cleaned while we were there. Shaded area on rooftop also and a sea view. Vending machines on rooftop but bar not open and such a shame. Breakfast was good and varied slightly each day - 2 cereals, several juices, several types of bread. Toaster, tea, coffee machine with very nice coffee. Lemon cake, some kind of sponge and custard. Salad bar with meats and cheese. Sausage or bacon, two types of eggs, beans and potatoes of some description. Eating out is expensive but hotel serves evening meal buffet for 10 euro each and includes a bottle of water. Soup, salad bar, pizza and veg, chops or roast meats. They have a curry night and a pizza night etc. Its open to the public so get there early, it serves at 6.30 pm. You pay in restaurant after your meal. Great value compared to the local bars serving food. Buccaneer over the road is good value too. Hotel has a new bar near entrance and it's nice but some drinks are a bit pricey. Indoor pool in basement is great, hot and deep and there are shower and toilet facilities there for last day, they are very good. Ask reception for towels. Not many sockets in rooms and they are 3 pin sockets. Aircon included and stays on when room is locked.Small TV in room but you have to pay for a remote to watch it. Lifts took a while at times so used the stairs now and then.Hotel well situated for bars and the square. Balcony rooms are 10-15 euros more a night and overlook the street.Stayed here a week and would recommend. I hope this is helpful.

I had read the reviews of this hotel after booking and wondered what I'd let myself in for. However, the hotel is nice, the rooms are clean, the common parts, stairways, dining room & swimming pools are all kept clean. Previous reviews don't give it justice. The food in the dining room is perfectly acceptable and edible, but some items could have been labelled. The main problem is where the hotel is situated, it is in between 2 busy roads, one in particular has fast noisy traffic all day & night, drivers seem to like using their car horns to excess, and there are bars on either side, open till very late with very noisy clientele, I had to use ear plugs at night but this didn't eliminate the noise. It is a shame really as this spoils the hotel.

Arrived at hotel was checked in efficiently went to room air con was working room was clean fresh towels most days staff were very helpful. Lovely outdoor pool on the roof with plenty of sun beds and towels were also provided. Good value for money for a budget hotel and would definitely stay again

I enjoyed the stay very much. Great location, the room was very clean, the beds not large but comfy, the towels were changed daily if needed. We were given the room looking to the tiny patio with an air conditioner (it was a bit noisy, but far better than the rooms looking to the streets!). There was a good selection of food for breakfast and very tasty local gbejna cheese. The only bad thing was the Internet - available in the lobby and disappearing all the time..

I stayed at this hotel for one night only, the hotel I was booked into had no room-see separate review of panorama hotel. I arrived early hours, to be told I couldn't have breakfast, despite it included in original package. My room was like a hostel room, lumpy, uncomfortable bed, very basic cheap furniture. The bathroom had a tiny plastic showerhead hanging at an angle only a tricks of either boiling hot or freezing cold water. One towel, no soap, no water glass and if you wanted a TV remote you had to pay. Terrible couple hours sleep, in morning, I just went to dining room for breakfast, it was already paid for, though I needn't have bothered, very little choice. I had been informed by panorama that I would be picked up after breakfast, however I was still waiting around at 11am, the receptionist, a very helpful girl, Violetta, tried her best to assist me and arranged a taxi for me, thanks Violetta! Also ast this hotel, large construction works going on near entrance consequently, lots of dust, noise and chemical smells. Not an experience I want to repeat!

i cannot say anything nice about this hotel it is up a noisy back street overlooking bars that are open and playing loud music to the early hours of the morning.the breakfast is terrible if you can get in as they let anyone off the street come in for 5 euros so not allowing space for the residents. i would no advise anyone to stay here

We stayed for a week. At first not happy with the location but later found it was very good for getting a bus, a cruise, shopping and eating or drinking out. The rocky beach is just 200 metres away. The rooms are very noisy at night as the hotel is wedged between two busy roads but if the door closed and the air con turned on, we slept well. Wi-fi available at the lounge free of charge. €15/week for an access in the room, however it continuously kept logging off, so reported twice and got money back at the end of stay. The staff at the reception and in the restaurant very polite and helpful. Maybe except one black haired man at the reception who kept patronising me by saying "That's incredible" or "That's really something" when I tried to explain my problems with wi-fi and said that I know how to operate my phone and an iPad. We had breakfasts and dinners and they were absolutely perfect every day. We were spoilt for choice and one night there was an enormous whole tuna as carvery. Mostly the food was Maltese which is excellent, but there was an Italian and an Indian cuisine evenings as well. The food was fresh and hot and the chef or cook were cooking some food to order. I missed fresh fruit and better quality juices. We have noticed that sometimes the lettuce, tomatoes and fruit salad were from the previous day and they were slightly off. The rooms were clean in general but a better care should be taken of the showers with dirt in hard to reach places. The rooms are cleaned, bedding and towels changed daily if you wish. The standard of the finishing of the rooms is not the highest. The water in the tap is not potable so the guests have to buy their own table water from multiple shops nearby. The kettle can be borrowed from the reception for €1.50/day. A local environmental tax is charged on the arrival at €0.50 per person/day. The pool on the roof was always clean. Shame the access to the roof is being closed at 8pm. Would be a perfect place for a drink or chat after dinner. Overall, we were very happy with our stay at Primera. Would come again.
