Perfect location - quiet enough street, right across from the beach, small hotel where there is no daily struggle to get a sun bed, things run smoothly and quietly, at least that was my firsthand experience when I went for holiday back in September. My room was large with a terrace, doulbe bed, white furnishings and decent bathroom. Upstairs terrace is really nice with the ocean view. I would absolutely return because of the super deal we received and how close it is to the town and all of the restaurants, nightlife.
This hotel has really beautiful view from the top roof together with bar and pool. We have spent most of the time up there. Rooms were not clean properly and in the bath you could actually see and hear neighbours next door, Me and my wife been there on all inclusive but now I wish we had only room. Food was really really bad, on first day we had all 3 meals and that was it. We went to local restaurant to enjoy freshly made dishes. Elevators were nightmare, you had to wait and wait for lift to come and then you don't know if it is taking you up or down. It is nice area in Majorca but if I go back I will not be Whala!
Great location if you're a beach lover. Generally it was ok. The food wasn't too bad and actually was really quite nice on their Japanese themed night. Only giving this an average rating though as the bathroom was a little yuck and could do with a really good deep clean and probably a refurb. The decor was clearly at the end of the season and was a little shabby. Great for a long weekend away if you fancy something cheap but with a good location.I'd go again.
This review is a couple of months overdue as I stayed in Whala on holiday in the month of October. I know its towards the end of the season, and sometimes staff is tired already and things are a little rundown, but not at Whala beach, the service was excellent, the location close to the beach and to the main town is excellent, and our room was more than we thought we'd get for the cost. Next season coming back to Whala for certain.
Was impressed from day 1 with the hotel and how close it was to the beach. Staff were welcoming and made us feel at home straight off. Room good. Pretty simple in the way they've done them up but liked it and bathroom was bright. The location was the best thing about it for us. Not far from the airport or Palma city centre and the beautiful sandy beach was steps away. Nice that the resort has lot's of choices for eating out if you're not all inclusive at the hotel too. Found the whole holiday great value for what we got.
I founf it very calming and relaxing to wake up every morning to the amazing views from my balcony, that was the highlight of the holiday for me as I felt i really was on a beautiful island. The location of the hotel is the best we got lucky in that regard, just walkingbout a couple of steps you are already on the beach, and also in a street that has restaurants and night entertainment, everything was really accessible. The wifi was not free, we had to pay for it and I wish they included it in the nightly rate for the room because it was an expense I didnt calculate and I needed to get some work done.
Good for families but I was worried because I'd read that it was very noisy but we had nothing to worry about because it was quiet or at least the week when we were there. There is a mix of nationalities which makes it more interesting. No tacky entertainment which is good for a change. Staff are ok but not overly friendly. The room: Our rooms overlooked the beach and they were sunny and clean. Good size and ok beds Food: ok selection but taking into consideration what we paid it was good on whole Location: Great
Never been to this part of Mallorca but the reviews says its lively and the beach is good so we took a gamble when we got the holiday in September for nearly half the price. Absolutely brilliant! would defo go there again, hotel staff was brilliant, pool lovely and the beach was so close, could see it from our apartment. Lived on the beach, clean loads of beds the sea was gorg loads of fishes out a bit further. Hotels all inclusive was amazin value, we ate hardly anything out spent the extra on cocktails. Good bars in this area we followed the noise and some great German holidaymakers, had some epic nights. Me and steffie loved every minute.
We got a total steal on this this holiday staying at Whala, its right accross from the beach on one end, and right by the busy streets on the other end, so we walked everywhere all holiday, the only time we took taxis was to see the cathedral, everything else was close by. Our room was as expected a bit small, but all clean with a great big bed, and a big enough bathroom, and it was very quiet and comfortable. The pool upstairs is perfect if you just want to relax and get some sun, and the service was very good from everyone working there. Breakfast was average but we were happy enough, and the price really made us feel more than happy with everything we got.
This hotel is all about it's beach location. It is a budget hotel and this was fine, in fact it was just what we were expecting. Right in amongst the shops you don't have to go far if you are looking for bars and restaurants. The breakfast and dinner was okay but could do with more veggies as my wife is one of those. Comfortable and clean we booked a room with a sea view, which had just that. WifI was a bit pricey so we used it at cafe's for free. Bar prices were very low and the roof terrace got the sun all day. Reasonable hotel for an excellent price, would consider going again.
