We booked a sea view room for four nights in January. Unfortunately, it was unseasonally warm (mid- 20s) and the south-facing room was hot. That was when we discovered that all the hotels in Palma (we rang round a few, trying to find another room) had turned off the air-conditioning. The only way to cool the room was to open the sliding glass doors to the balcony. However, the hotel is next to a busy 6-lane road and the noise was intolerable. The hotel overlooks the harbour, which is quite a pretty view, but not worth the noise. The room was standard 4 star, good sized bathroom, bath with shower over, minibar/fridge in the bedroom. The bed was firm - like a billiard table! Breakfast was good, with a wide choice. We hired a car and toured the island, enjoying some breathtaking views.Paid £133 per night, B&B. Lots of good restaurants in the area.
always a pleasure staying here, the location is good, staff friendly. breakfast is amazing, so much choice. cathedral view room is a must as view is beautiful. The sunrise from the trip top floor is spectacular
Stayed here for the 8th time. gets better every time. We have never stayed here in winter but weather was surprisingly fine. The only disappointment was that the main dinner room was closed so we had to eat next to the bar
The perfect hotel to discover Palma - 10 minutes walk to the old town. Rooms are tired (I believe renovations are in progress) but clean and light. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet fresh and plentiful. Unfortunately the coffee was very disappointing. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants.
This hotel was my worst experience un the last 24 months... Although room size and furnitures are OK, I was appalled by the very poor soundproofing of the walls and windows. Be sure you'll wake up at 4.30am when the waste are collected in the surrounding streets. And I was on the top 14th floor. Talking about the bathroom now, forget about the room. It's more a bath cabinet. Narrow, poorly lighted in the tiny bathtub (no shower area here)... This hotel does not meet international standards for business, as for vacations, I'd rather choose a guest house. Bkfast buffet comes at a fairly high price, but it's OK.
Stayed 3 nights. Nice views from high floors. Watch cruise ships and oberlooking the marina. Breakfast was great. Rooms a tad dated. Slow check in . Staff not interested in customer service. Close to the old town. Good music bars 6 doors down.
I would save your money and go else where. Same old Tryp crappy hotels. Paid for a sea view, what a dump of a room. Over priced as usual and don't bother with the sea views. Go to another hotel If I were you!!
Enjoyed three nights here over Christmas - staff are friendly, breakfast is fab! The room was spacious and the hotel is well appointed. It's an easy 10/15 minutes walk into the city of Palma, and the marina opposite is very pretty. There are lots of excellent dining options around. Definitely recommend this hotel.
Would definitely stay here again. Walking distance to the centre, although it is a good walk, fabulous hotel and staff were very friendly. Breakfast was lovely with enough choice. The decor is lovely. Spacious room, clean. Taxis are available immediately outside if needed. The bus stop in a few yards away to travel in either direction.
Very well appointed hotel, the view from the balcony was brilliant, especially the sunrise early in the morning. Fantastic breakfast, everything you could wish for. The staff in the hotel were wonderful, very helpful and always smiling. However, I felt my room was looking a bit sad! Very cheap furniture which was chipped, the base of the bed was ripped and stained and the shower, although enough hot water, was very poor.Stayed in December, and realised there would be some pretty cold times, the heating in the bedroom was great but the bathroom was really cold! I know I didn't have a superior room but I think in winter a pair o the throw away slippers would have been nice.Would I stay again? Yes, but only because of the brilliant staff and superb location.
