Booked this holiday through Thomas Cook This is a good hotel although some small details let it down. The hotel is in an excellent position for both beach and shopping. The rooms are of a reasonable size and ours was kept immaculately clean as was the hotel in general. The things that let it down however were that the food in the evening at times was disappointing. Although there was a sizeable choice the presentation made the food look uninviting. Disappointing was the food being cooked at the “grill” which was often over-cooked. The service around the pool area in the early evening was poor if you were looking for a drink / tea / coffee. Although we booked this through visiting a Thomas Cook shop this is predominantly a German based hotel and there is no British Thomas Cook rep attached to it so you have to rely on the hotel reception staff for things like flight pick up times which they are only too happy to help with.
Just got back from a 5 night holiday at this wonderful hotel . It's in a perfect location for the beach and bars and restaurants . Lovely touch on arrival with bubbly and hand/face wipes . Check in was smooth with happy and efficient staff . Hotel lobby is beautiful with a big marble staircase and lots of sofas around . We were in rooms 119 and 117 which looked out onto the lovely and well maintained pool area . Nice big bedrooms with nice decor . Beds were a little hard for our liking . There was plenty of hanging space and a safe (which you can hire ) in the wardrobe . Stocked fridge which is charged to your room if you use anything . Air con wasn't that good but was fine for October . Big shower room with hair dryer . Cleaning staff were very good .Lovely dining room with allocated table for the whole of your stay . Food was very good , especially the breakfast . Dining room staff were great ,helpful and cheerful . We were out every night so I can't comment on the entertainment . Nice pool with plenty of sun beds but if you want prime positioned ones then be prepared to get up early to put your towels out !! . Pool/beach towels can be hired for a refundable deposit . There is a pool bar/food service with bbq some days, again with curtious and happy staff . We loved this hotel and it's staff are a credit to its success . Well done castell de mar .
This hotel more than lives up to its 4 star rating. Excellent beach location close to all amenities. Reception staff were most welcoming providing a glass of wine on our arrival. The dining room staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Food was first class with plenty of variety to suit all tastes.room was very freshly decorated with a lovely balcony overlooking the sea.A special mention for Roshan, the customer services manager who went out of his way to ensure that guests were well looked after and any prolems were dealt with expeditiously. The only disappointment was the fact that the room did not have a kettle for tea and coffee making and we were charged €19.80 for the privelege. Nan and Andrew Largs.

It was a family holidays and we were fully satisfied.Very nice and clean hotel. Very good service. Located just 50 meteres from the beach. Food was great. Except nice pool, there is also inner spa with sauna, wellness and fitness. Wifi connection was OK.
We stayed at this hotel for our summer vacation and we really enjoyed it. Extremely helpful and friendly staff from reception to bar tender to waiters and last but no least cleaning personnel. CONS + just in front of the beach + spacious room recently renewed + nice views from balcony to Cala Millor + good breakfast and acceptable variety NEED IMPROVEMENTS - Quality on cafeteria food, maybe increase prices - control floating beds/toys on the pool - variation on night entertainment, we enjoyed pianist evening though First experience with Sentido Hotel chain and it was a good choice, we are not from Germany but we met some very nice people and share some laughs. We will be back.
We travelled as a family, 2 adults and 2 children aged 14 and 12 from 23 July for 9 nights. As you walk into this hotel you are greeted by the porter who helps you with your bags, offered a glass of champagne surrounded by marble, elegant sofas and fixtures, definitely 4 star! There are lots of thoughtful touches to make your life easier; the marble floors next to the rooms have been carpeted down the middle so you don't have to listen to noisy shoes late at night, the bathroom goodies are numerous (unfortunately the hairdryer is rubbish). When you make your way to the pool, you could get a poolside lounger as long as you got down there by around 7.30 but there were always a few free ones available throughout the day. There was even a room near the pool with all the discarded lilos, noodles, balls, flippers etc. for you to borrow, We didn't even bother to blow up our own. This hotel is a stones throw from the beach and all the shops, bars and restaurants but the noise never kept us awake at night. We stayed in a family room and it was a little cosy, but there was room for all our clothes. There was a minibar in the room, but this would have been better if it was just a fridge to hold our own bits. You could hire towels from the hotel for a €10 deposit each which you could get clean ones 3 times a week, the safe in the room was also reasonably priced. The restaurant was ok, I always found something to eat, but this mostly catered for the Germans (of which there were loads, and they all smoked!!), there was even sprouts for breakfast one day! It states that men have to wear long trousers but this rule is relaxed in the hot summer months The evening entertainment wasn't great and the drinks were overpriced, but they weren't extortionate and the Spar next door was very handy. There was a lovely indoor pool, which had a Jacuzzi, sauna and ice bath which was a nice touch. The only thing was they locked the door leading from the indoor pool to the outside and you had to go through the hotel to get to it, so the marble floor was quite precarious. Unfortunately my son fell and hurt himself one day doing this and I did question why the door from the pool could not be open as it would solve the problem and after all it is a family hotel with guests wanting to use all the facilities. All in all a lovely hotel with friendly staff and great amenities in a good location
I have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel. I have to say it's a wonderful hotel the location is fantastic right on the beach with the shops and restaurants at the front. we had a room on the 6th floor facing the sea - lovely clean room with walk in shower, beds made every day towels and sheets changed every three days too. Pool area is good however there is the awful tradition of putting your towels on the sun beds every morning even thou the brochure says that towels will be removed after. 30 minutes if not used - no one ever moved them - so forget about a bed directly in front of the pool around the pool after 6.30am ( we spotted people doing this this morning as we left for an early flight!) however we never had a problem getting four beds at around 8.30am. Word of warning do not sit near the stage area as they play loud music most of the day except weekends. The food here is wonderful a bit of everything all freshly made and the deserts were gorgeous - fresh pancakes in the morning were delicious. THe majority of the guests are German and you are assumed to be German when spoken to but all staff speak perfect English when you say your English. Beds are so comfy but take your own hair dryer typical hotel dryer - a whisper of hot air you'd be there all night ! All in all a lovely hotel and a very comfortable stay would definitely recommend.
The weakest point of the hotel is by far the poorly working air conditioning. The only place where it works normally is the entrance lobby. Room air conditioning has weak power, hallways are practically not air conditioned and the worst place is the restaurant: quite hot, humid, unpleasant feeling during each meal. No improvement after complaining. No ventilation in the room bath. I could not recommend this hotel because of this experience.
We had a 5 night stay in a suite on 11th floor , with sea view! Lovely room, spotless clean and beds probably most comfortable in any Majorca hotel I've stayed in, and I've stayed in lots here! I emailed and asked for a high floor which they did , perfect! Staff were friendly and efficient. The food was excellent . Negatives! Well, there is a definite expectation that guests are German! We were spoken to in German on nearly every interaction with staff, it appeared that German was the first language of this hotel even before Spanish! As I speak Spanish German and English it was not an issue for me but there is definite favour toward German guests, particularly when being seated in the restaurant for evening meal , which, to be fair, was sorted quite quickly after a brief discussion in three languages. My son (7yr old ) loved the pool although it was quite cold for July, surprisingly. Evening entertainment was very poor. Although we were only there 5 nights so we may have just been unlucky . All in all, a lovely location and clean hotel with good staff and nice food. Ideal for this resort, we normally stay more toward sa coma and s'illot which is not quite so German dominated , although Cala millor has more to offer, we probably would not choose this resort again.
