Port d’Andratx is a stunning natural harbour surrounded by rugged hills and winding roads that could rival Monte Carlo. A last minute decision to organise a holiday meant we found limited choice heading for some winter sun at a competitive price. However we were delighted to find the Mon Port Hotel and Spa available to fit with our time frame. We duly arrived late at night to find we had been upgraded to a junior suite in a quiet part of the hotel over looking the harbour and the sister hotel next door. The suite was perfect for us and the loveliest surprise. The excellent start certainly set the tone for our experience at the Mon Port. The breakfast each morning was varied with plenty of choice and fresh food. I have a dairy allergy and any queried I had were handled very well by the staff I needed to speak to. The hotel itself is charming, particularly well presented and very welcoming. It is well laid out with blocks of rooms and suites and really beautiful, well planted grounds. The gardens are not all flat but gently sloped with plenty of areas to sit around, pretty pool areas and have a good range of well maintained extra activity areas that you would expect from a four star hotel. The staff were superb. Each and everyone made us very welcome, nothing was too much trouble and I enjoyed warm friendly conversations with the reception staff. Our room was serviced each day and returned to pristine condition each time. The blocks of rooms and suites provide great privacy and some stunning views. Rooms 6211 and 6212 in the junior suite block where we stayed have particularly excellent views. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a classy, superb hotel with excellent breakfasts then take time to look at the Mon Port Hotel. You won’t be disappointed. We didn’t try any of the spa facilities as we were too busy exploring the rest of the island. I heartily recommend the Mon Port especially at this time of year. I hope to return in the not to distant future. Thank you for a very memorable stay.
Was a nice stay here at Mon Port. Very clean hotel and nice rooms. The spa and indoor pool is really nice as well. Though the resturaunt is OK for breakfast it is not that good for Dinner due to the fact there is not a good variety of food and not really anybody goes there so it's very quiet. Though there are some amazing resturaunts in the port itself. And it is worth going to Andratx town itself to visit the market.👌 Though on the whole good hotel and I reccomened a visit😉
My wife and I spent a week here in October and had a wonderful stay. On arrival we were shown to room 4208, very comfortable with a brilliant view of the port. On the downside we had to carry our own cases to the room which was on the second floor of a separate block. There was no porter to assist. The grounds, pool and spa/gym all excellent but beware of the pool bar...11 euros for a Bacardi and coke is extortionate!!! Breakfast was first class, lots of choice and very well presented. Did not use the restaurant for dinner, was very disappointed with the menu choices. We ate every night at a number of excellent restaurants on the marina, a 20 minute stroll away. Very expensive by Spanish standards but good food and service in superb surroundings. A great week away, thoroughly recommended but take a full wallet!!! Finally it was a shame the hotel lost points on small details I.e. Pool bar prices, no luggage porter, poor dinner menu and annoyingly they don't replenish the toiletries in the bathroom once you've used them.
Mon Port hotel is just fabulous, we arrived around 11:30am to a complimentary drink & was told our room is ready. We unpacked and headed straight to the beautiful pool area to relax, ordered a jug of Sangria and enjoyed the hot October Sunshine. We then ate at the pool bar which was perfect, service was quick & efficient. Food was great. Its a short stroll to the port 15 - 20 minutes. The choice of restaurants are excellent a little pricey but if you want excellent food then you have to pay. It’s definitely an upmarket resort no groups of party goers. Breakfast was buffet style with a great choice. The hotel is clean, the grounds are beautiful. The whole weekend was peaceful & relaxing just what was needed. I would 100% visit this gem of a hotel again.
We had a short 4 day break here recently on a half board basis. The location is good - quiet but a short walk to the harbour. The grounds and pools are very nice but beware! The pools are not heated and were very cold. But there is a lovely indoor pool, right next to the outdoor pool, which is part of the very decent spa. We had a late night return flight so we were able to use the spa to shower and change after a day by the pool. Room was a decent size and very clean. Decor perhaps a little dated but it had it's charms. Bed was very comfy. We overlooked the pool with a nice balcony to sit and have a pre-dinner drink as the sun started to set. Breakfast was buffet style and very good with lots of choice. Dinner was from a limited table d'hote, plus a small daily specials menu. The presentation was first class and it was very decent to eat. If I went for a longer stay, I would probably go B&B so I could eat in the port on some evenings and in the hotel on others. The staff were all very good - friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a lovely stay. Puerto d'Andratx itself is a charming and picturesque resort. It's a pricy place but that keeps out the 'Magaluf set' I guess. I would like to return to the resort and this hotel would be one I would consider coming back to.
We stayed at the sister hotel La Pergola which was a rather pleasant experience. One night we decided to skip the buffe dinner at La Pergola for some al la cart at Mon Port Hotel. This was a big mistake. How this seemingly upscale hotel can offer so bad a la cart menu is a mystery. We are a family of five so tried several different options, all very plain and not tasty. The lamb chops was no more than a joke.
We stayed for a week in September. Our superior room was on the ground floor with a large private terrace overlooking the pool. The pool is large with plenty of comfortable sunbeds and a helpful pool boy and there is a good pool bar. Our room was spacious with plenty of storage space, extra pillows etc, and tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was roomy, although the shower was over the bath and was rather awkward to get into. The dining area is large, bright and airy with plenty of outside seating and the terrace area around the bar and reception is particularly attractive and comfortably furnished with sofas and armchairs. However, the bar itself is rather dark and very cool in the autumn evenings. The breakfast was of high quality with a huge choice and cava always on offer, although we were a little disappointed with the limited choice of dinner. The staff throughout are friendly and efficient although our room was not cleaned and made up until mid-afternoon on most days. The hotel is located about a 15 minute flat and pleasant walk around the harbour to the shops and bars of the small resort, which is very attractive. There are no high-rise hotels and this remains a working fishing port. There are no particular facilities for children at the hotel and as there is no beach the guest were mainly couples. This was our second stay at the Mon Port and we plan to return next September.
comfortable facilities great staff a very pleasant stay. the problems were about our request for a ground floor room with walk-in shower. I have mobility issued after a stroke and my wife doesn't like elevators. On arrival the reception accnowledge our telephone request but suggested we use a second floor temporarily and move the the ground floor later as we had booked for 14 days. This we did and the ground floor proved very suitable with easy access to the hotel facilities. The buffet breakfast was superb and our only complaint was that the wasps on the pleasant breakfast terrace did not understand English swear words. An easy walk into the the port to some great restaurant was a lovely end to each day.
You won’t be disappointed Only 10-15 min walk to harbour or “down town” Antrax. Nice pool area. Good breakfast served, pool little fresh/cold. Rooms large with nice bathroom and AC. Balcony with sunrise or sundown- surrounded by great mountains. For the moment a house is build up hill - Crain and work make some noice in daily hours. Nice staff.
We stayed with our baby for 4 nights. Room was nice and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is really good. Spa is included. Walking distance to the port and restaurants. Definitely coming back.
