We stayed here for a week at the beginning of August for a family holiday. We arrived late evening and the hotel had set aside some food and drink for us which was a lovely touch. We had been given wi fi and a fridge in our room at no extra cost. TBH if we had to pay for it I would of rated this very differently. I have never stayed in a hotel where that is not standard. Our room and the hotel is very clean and tidy. The pool was lovely and is beach effect so great for kids.sun beds are not open until 9am so no towels put down and we never struggled to get one. Allergens all labelled on food! Fab! Gluten free catered for! The hotel is a 2minute walk to the beach and shops yet is in a nice quiet street. Drinks are included in breakfast on half board but no drinks with evening meal. We had a small bottle of water for our daughter the one evening and was told we was not allowed this and had to buy. We didn't want a large bottle of water in a wine glass for a 5 year old..However we had to! A little discretion for the fact it was for a small child surely? My only fault as such would be the lack of entertainment. In the stay we was there they had 2 nights of entertainment (which we missed due to our own fault not seeing anything was on) and that was it. No entertainment for kids day or night. However overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel.
This hotel was chosen last minute when we decided to spend Christmas in Mallorca. The booking (fly/hotel) was chip so the quality of the hotel was not expected to be great. However, the rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel staff was good and friendly. The quality of the food was not that good so this should be an improvement area for this hotel.
This Hotel is well run with good food and very clean Great location for all amenities both city and beach Visited the last two years and would recommend for weekend or longer stays Ideally located for city of Palma with short transfer time Have visited in spring time but would imagine resort busy later on but comfortable early spring time
Loverly clean contemporary hotel. Beds comfortable . Room was cleaned daily clean towels daily. Staff very friendly and very close to beach and local bus service. All I can add is if you arrive late and you want a drink make sure you have some Euro coins to get a drink from the vending machine as the bar was closed at 1am in the morning bearing in mind it was out of season when we went. Overall a loverly hotel.
spotlessly clean, hotel near to beach front. Spacious room with wet room shower. Helpful staff, good variety of food and absolute bargain for what we paid. Bars and restaurants nearby but a lot were closed at this time of year. Regular bus service into palma.
We had booked to stay our entire visit to Palma de Mallorca in Porto Christo but decided as it was very quiet on that side of the island to move closer to Palma on our last night. Great hotel, excellent service, warm welcome and at €39 for half board each it was a bargain. Hotel is a 2 minute walk to an amazing beach and coast line packed with shops and restaurants which all closed early as it was out of season. The breakfast and dinner in the hotel were both served buffet style and there was a very large selection. OK we are not talking gourmet food but good home style food. Most enjoyable. Plenty staff and quick and friendly service. Dinner was packed with guests and it felt like all residents ate at the hotel. Hotel has entertainment every night and happy hour ran from lunch time to 17:00 (happy 5 hours). There were varied guests from families to cycle tours and tours for the over 60's. The room had a great view over the island (724) and it was the most comfortable bed I ever slept in. Everything was very clean and I loved the bright colours.
Booked this hotel last minute. Although out of season the hotel was very good. It has just been refurbished and looks great. The staff are very helpful and the food is delicious. The hotel itself I think caters for Germans mainly but that does mean you get great food. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have all you need. The views are good, we had a side room but the fact that it had the sun on it all day made up for it. We didn't see a cleaner for the 3 nights in our room, wish we would have known that but again it's not a negative at all. Would I stay here again, yes I would. It's in a great location, near to the sea but just far enough away to remain quiet when needed.
It is a very clean hotel, the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner are sufficient for all tastes, with the amendment that the breakfast be more vegetables. All hotel employees were very nice (no one asked us what nationality we have to know when are friendly with us or not) however the disco evenings could put other music than the German. Finally our stay was wonderful and also thanks to the hotel Oleander.
Rooms were very clean, new linen each day. 100 yards from beach and 75 yards to road with buses. Staff spoke mainly Spanish and German but some English. Bedrooms have good beds fairly soft mattresses and extra pillow from reception. Bufffet breakfast included with a good variety. Ceiling fan in bedroom was the air conditioning. Most visitors were German Airport short taxi drive away. Loads of things to do in resort, Mini Train up and down beach area, mini golf. Large aquapark a shortish bus trip away. Open top bus tour. Avoid the centre of resort as it is very busy. Meals can be expensive in resort so enjoy walking and planning where to eat. Food was very good. Local sea front shops selling fresh sandwiches and salads.
WI FI in every village in the world is free and fast, but not in Oleanders Hotel. Rooms are not furnished with Bath Room accessories, no soap, no shampoo, and very few towels. The staff blames the restrict Management rules for how they behave. They charge 10 euros for Wi Fi, unless in the lobby and using very very slow internet, and if there are too many people using the free internet, forget about it. I hope I never have to eat any food like the Oleander's food, as the food is tasteless, low quality, and unfriendly servers. I rate this hotel as a Dark Age Era Hotel and 3 out of 10, well below average.
