Enjoyed staying here again on a return trip with friends. Staff are helpful throughout the hotel with the bar staff being the standout team. The rooms are comfortable and clean with a balcony that is useful to dry off your beach clothes and towels. The rooms are unchanged from my last visit 5 years ago so the familiarity was nice but does mean the bedding looks a little dated. I could hear the people in the room next to me a lot which I did not notice on my previous stay. This may be down to the location on this trip. It did feel a little personal to hear them in their bathroom and as they settled for the night and woke in the morning. Wi-Fi is good throughout the hotel. The small fridge in the room is handy for keeping drinks and snacks cool. I was not impressed to be offered the use of the room safe at a cost of 3 Euros per day. I think this should be a free service or at the most 3 Euros per stay. Breakfast is served in the bar dining area overlooking the marina which is a lovely way to start the day. The selection of yoghurt, cereal, a few hot items, cold meat, cheese and pastries is pleasant but not outstanding. The staff keep the offerings topped up during the wide breakfast serving window. Bar staff are very friendly and the bar selection is extensive. Their cocktails are a nice treat including the Lemar mojito using local drinks as a base in place of rum. A lovely place on the marina/port beach with access to numerous restaurants and cafes within a few minutes walk.

I have to start by saying that we didn't stay here this time whilst visiting Colonia Sant Jordi, however, a group of our friends stayed here. So we not only spent time in their rooms, but also the restaurant and bar area. You have to really love Lemar with one of the best locations in Sant Jordi and really super friendly staff. We spent many nights with our friends drinking out the front of Lemar's bar area with stunning views across the bay. I have to give a special thanks to Eurellio (hope that's spelt right) for his excellent service and attention. He always remembers us and makes you feel so welcome - like coming home to family. We inspected the rooms and could see a fast improvement since we had last stayed here and the bed mattresses actually felt a lot softer than they use to be. Rooms are not overly large, but adequate and bathrooms are basic. Our friends occupied a room on the side street with small balcony, however, the front rooms overlooking the beach have very large outdoor balcony areas and amazing. We ate a few times at the restaurant with our friends and have to say it represents very good value for money. For only 14 Euro's you had a huge selection of fresh local produce on display and again a massive improvement from our last visit. The waiters are amazing and work very hard clearing all the plates etc and keeping all the guests happy.

Great location, walking distance from beach and many restaurants. Good variety for breakfast (included in your stay). Great water pressure (shower), very clean. Across from bike/ kayak rentals. Staff was very accommodating. Overall, great service.

Just come back today my wife and I loved it, had read the bad reviews only but I think the people who moaned about that place would moan about anything. The staff, food and cleaning was excellent. Only tip would be to upgrade to sea view as we did, evening and morning views great

I stayed at the Lemar during June 2015 on a bed and breakfast basis. The hotel is situated on the harbour at Colonia Sant Jordi with many shops bars and restaurants in the vicinity. I was checked in by a friendly receptionist and allocated a room on the third floor. The room had a comfortable double bed, en- suite bathroom with over the bath shower and both rooms were very clean. The room had a balcony which looked out into an atrium with opaque glass walls on three sides. Quite possibly the weirdest design I have ever seen. The design notwithstanding, the rest of the hotel was modern, very clean and comfortable with a bar and lounge which overlooked the promenade. Breakfast offered a varied selection of well cooked and well presented hot and cold dishes. This is a modern hotel in a great location with friendly and attentive staff and I will probably stay there again.

Excellent location and good breakfasts, staff generally amiable . Beyond that, our experience was not good. Room incredibly hot with ineffective air conditioning and a noisy, inefficient fan. We were on a sporting holiday, with activities morning and evening, so afternoon siesta quite important, but that was when they wanted to clean the room. When we said no, we were sleeping, the room was not cleaned at all. We were booked for half board, but found the evening meal almost inedible. Fine, because there are some wonderful restaurants in the town, but we had paid for suppers we didn't eat. Then they complained when we took one roll each from the breakfast buffet to eat with the ham and cheese we had bought for a picnic lunch! And that on a day when we hadn't actually been able to have toast for breakfast because their toaster didn't work and couldn't have coffee with breakfast because they ran out of cups! You have to question the quality of management. We had a great holiday and would certainly go to Colonia again but would look for somewhere better to stay.

As others have said: Good, basic, clean hotel. Nice terrace for drink or snack facing sun and harbour. Average food - good value for money though. Friendly staff and mostly German tourists. Beautiful surroundings of km long stretches of white beaches, backed by wide pinewoods.Remember good walking shoes - nice walks along the beaches. Rent a car at the airport for longer stays, The mall Colonia is ever so nice - but you might after a while - want to get around. The island has so much to offer! Negative: A bit to hard beds, could do with an extra topmattress and maybe a choise of pillows. Some moscitos might appear during night, but harmless stings. We will be back!

There are some really good things about this hotel, spoilt by some thoughtlessness and stingy practice. I stayed here on a Swim Trek holiday. The hotel gets a block booking for a good chunk of September from the company, so I was surprised that there was "an issue" which meant that some of us had to be farmed out to apartments up the street. While this was billed as an "upgrade", some of the apartments had no air conditioning, and, while a fan was provided (one for two bedrooms), it was grudging, and "only for one night". My own apartment comprised a sloping ceiling, which meant that two thirds of the space was unusable, and it was very hot. To use the air con, you had to pay a deposit of 20 euros for the remote control, which they were not on the ball enough to notice I was due on checkout. Some of our party had to share, even though they'd paid a single supplement. There was also an unpleasant long-term guest, who used threatening behaviour to one of the party, and the staff shrugged off the behaviour when it was reported to them. That is not acceptable. On the plus side, it is well situated, on the marina, with plenty of choices for beaches, restaurants and cafés. There is no traffic noise, but it is at the heart of one of the main bar/restaurant drags. Colonia Sant Jordi, however, is a delightful, quiet resort, so you are unlikely to be bothered by much noise. The rooms are clean, breakfast choice is wide, if slightly erratic, and the staff are mostly really helpful, with the usual exception (why is there always one?). After a thunderstorm, I had no power in my room, and the reception staff was immediately on the case, and a "tecnico" dispatched who did a thorough investigation and fixed the problem. The cleaning lady was also delightful. There's a nice big bar with internal and terrace seating, and the bar staff are busy but efficient. It really helps if you speak Spanish, as others have noted, as most staff have some English, but the primary clientele is German. Towels were plentiful, and some of the apartments would be lovely to stay in; they are set in a cool, shady garden, and are spacious and quiet. There is also a roof terrace for taking the sun or drying swim suits. If they could get their act together a bit more, this could be a great place. It needs a greater sense of putting the guest first and making an effort to ensure that their stay is comfortable. I'd also suggest giving some thought to including free wifi in the price, and dropping the air con deposit nonsense, as well as ensuring that air con is in every room.

This is a nice hotel on the front of colonia de sant jordi. The rooms are nicely decorated and have air-con, and are very clean. Hotel is only a 2 min walk to the small beach near the harbour which is handy as there is no pool in the hotel. It is also near several bars and restaurants. The area itself is very quiet and the vast majority of people there are German. It's a very pretty place with a surprisingly large selection of bars and restaurants given the size, but if you're looking for any sort of nightlife then go to a different report.

We stayed for two nights before going on to our time share in Son Antem. We love Colonia St Jordi and wanted to be right by the port and one of our favourite restaurants, The Marisol, as well as being close to the great walks in this town. The Hotel Lemar could not have been better situated. We also had a great room with a balcony overlooking the port. We spent a few hours sitting on the balcony watching the world go by. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We were a bit disappointed in the breakfasts - adequate but nothing special. We also had to pay for wifi - admittedly this was only 5 euros for 24 hours but our feeling is wifi should be free nowadays. Nevertheless, it was such a great location we will certainly go back.
