On arrival to the hotel we were pleased to see the hotel looked clean and fresh! Check in was smooth and quick and we were shown to our room, on the other side of the road from the main hotel (not a problem for us although not what we expected!). The rooms were very basic but were clean and that's the most important thing - we didn't plan to spend any time in the room so was not an issue - although I was surprised and disappointed there was no hairdryer - not even one fixed to the wall! The beds were comfortable and the air con worked well - no card required to switch on the air con which is good to see. As long as the balcony door was closed the air con stayed on even when you were out - great to come back to after a day in the sun! The rooms were quite noisy due to doors banging, walls were thin and you could hear next door and our bathroom made an awful noise every time anyone in the block flushed the loo! The corridor outside our room absolutely stunk of cigarette smoke and this often wafted into our room - for non smokers this wasn't very pleasant! The pool was clean, although small. Sunbeds were never a problem to get in the mornings, although no sun around the pool until at least 12pm unless on the top terrace which stayed in the sun all day long - very hot no umbrellas up on top! The pool bar was good enough although each afternoon the bar man would disappear off every so often for 10 minutes here and there! Quick service otherwise and friendly on the whole. Now to the negatives.. The food was awful! We stayed there for only 4 nights and had dinner on the first night only and breakfast on the first morning only. If you are after a good dinner then one of the many restaurants along the promenade are your best options! I would not eat there. That being said, lunch was ok and we ate there each lunch time, mainly because we just had salad items and bread etc. The breakfast was shoddy, unless you like to eat mini hotdogs still sat in their brine and undercooked bacon! Plenty of fruit, bread. We went to one of the many local shops for a decent breaky each morning! Dinner mainly consisted of chips (always chips), a turkey chop (if you've ever heard of such a thing?), pasta in a basic sauce (every night), basic salad, bread, cheese, onion rings.. not sounding very Spanish? Nothing seemed to go together. One other thing to consider about the hotel and the area especially, is it is mainly German influenced and it was hard to spot another fellow Brit! German bars in the area playing loud German music. We found that we felt very outnumbered and unwelcome at times, especially by the pool at the hotel and in the 'restaurant' all eyes were on us! .. could just be the particular guests at the time though so don't let it put you off :) All in all, I WOULD stay at this hotel again as the location, cleanliness, pool and price all outweigh the negatives. It was a very relaxing and chilled long weekend away! My only advise would be to not book all inclusive as you won't get your money's worth and there are lots of lovely places to eat and drink with a great view of the sea! Also ask for a newer / refurbished room in the main hotel when booking as I hear they are much nicer!

most staff ok, but more senior members were a bit rude and you could tell they didn't want to be there. If you go i would recommend only a week. good location, shops bars and beach. just felt/expected a bit more. We asked to change rooms and they were unhelpful and didn't sort it. grr

I travelled with my friend and our 2 daughters aged 18 and 13. We had an amazing time!! The hotel is spotlessly clean. The rooms are very nice. The pool is well maintained. Some staff are a bit miserable but most are happy and friendly. Vicente was especially very endearing, always remembering which drink we wanted. The quality of the drinks was perfect. There is only 1 major downside to this hotel and its a real shame as its a very important factor. The food was almost inedible. We stayed for 4 nights and only managed to tolerate 1 breakfast, 2 lunches and 1 evening meal. All the food tasted bland and exactly the same. There were no flavours or spices added at all. It was pretty miserable, so we just decided to eat out. There are great bars and restaurants right on your doorstep in cala millor, so we were really spoiled for choice!!! It cost us more, but was well worth it because if we had to tolerate the inedible food the hotel offered, it would have ruined our holiday. Other than that, we had an amazing time!!! The rose and crown is well worth a visit. We loved the karaoke. I feel that overall, our visit was a very positive one. For what we paid, we didn't really mind that we were forced to eat out. If you don't mind doing the same, you will love it here. I wouldn't return however, unless there was a big improvement in the food. It really was the worst I've ever tasted, and I holiday all inclusive 3 times per year. Please sort it out La Pinta!!!!! You could be a 4 star!!!!!!

We only decided to book this holiday the afternoon before we travelled. Not like us, but due to personal circumstances we weren't totally sure we could go. I found a deal on 'On the Beach' website for Blue Sea Don Jaime £276 per person all incl. That was hotel, the flight was extra but this was around £150 per person cheaper than anywhere else in Cala Millor. One thing to note for anyone trying to book a holiday at such short notice(day before), you can't pre-book your transfer from the airport to the hotel. A little bit worrying. When we arrived at Palma airport(nice and early- 10.20am-ish) I found I was still unable to book myself on any transfer with the shuttle companies. I asked at the Tourist Information how I could get to Cala Millor. I was told I could use the public bus service- she quoted 12 euro's each to Cala Millor, but the next bus wasn't until 1pm. I asked her if she knew roughly how much a taxi would cost, she looked it up and said approx 84 euros-total fare. So we decided to take a cab. we were there in about 45 minutes. We were told on arrival at Don Jaime hotel that they were over booked (sounded like a familiar story as all the British people we met had the same thing happen) and would be transferred to their nearby sister hotel-La Pinta. As compensation we would be given free use of the safe and free hotel wifi for the entire stay. We were allocated Room 12 in the block across the road. It is positioned above the main door and stair case. This proved to be extremely noisy every night. Between 1 and 3 am there is a constant sleep interruption of drunk people shouting and laughing as they return to their rooms. In particular next door -from Hungary I think, were smoking some sort of strong hashish all afternoon on the first day. So bad that we couldn't sit on the balcony for getting high passively. Needed the balcony door shut. Noisy and drunk all night too, but luckily they checked out the next day and things improved. A lot of people in the rooms around us were throwing up violently regularly, next door, above and below. A result of too much alcohol. Shower didn't work properly. I reported it on the first day, it was replaced by a new shower head, but it didn't improve the problem- just a crappy flow of water, like you were sticking your head under a hose pipe. Room was clean, the Air Con worked ok and the beds were really comfortable. So all in all the room wasn't too bad. Location of La Pinta couldnt be faulted. Very close to the beach- 200 yards in a straight line, and about 50 yards from the main pedestrianized shopping street. Some good shops along there, not just tat and gift shops, but good shops for clothes etc. We love spending our days on the beach, and Cala Millor beach I would say is the best I have ever been to. We had been to this beach on a previous holiday when we stayed in Cala Bona and remembered how nice it was. Crystal clear and sandy. So after breakfast we spent every day until about 5.30pm on the beach. Didn't bother to return for lunch, we always survive on a pot of Pringles, an ice cream and a bottle of water each. We liked to return to the hotel and have 2 drinks by the pool bar before it closed at 6pm, and maybe have a swim in the pool. We would then retire to our room, have a wash under the hose pipe and get ready for dinner. On the whole we didn't mind the food. I've had worse, but also have to remember that the cost of our stay was cheap. Staff mainly appeared miserable, when we interacted with them. Never smiled and could do with a course in Customer Service skills in my opinion. It would help no end. On our last day we had to check out at 12 noon. Our transfer back to the airport was picking us up at 3.30pm. In order to spend a good chunk of our day down the beach we checked out at 10am. The problem we had was that we were unable to book a room to enable us to get cleaned up and changed before we left. This is usually the norm in all other hotels we have stayed in. Woman on the reception just held up her hand dismissively and said "It is not possible!!", as if God almighty had spoken. As a result we decided to have good soapy shower by the pool, and then had to get changed in the pool side toilet with a piss soaked floor. How nice. So that was our lasting memory of the place.

stayed for eight days from 2nd June 2017 first day there was nothing to eat except salad I complained to restaurant manager but he just walked away. second day the same, then third day burger for evening meal .things got a bit better ,chicken on then day after chops .after this back to burgers on my wife came back with few chips and 2 pieces of dried pizza . watch out for Young pool barman he disappears every day. there were 8 people waiting to be served I was told they had been waiting at least 20 mins, I went to reception and told the woman, she stood up put her hand on her hips and said in a foul manner what do you want me to do? I walked away the rooms are clean but this hotel is not for me and my wife

Travelled here with friends for a 4 day break the hotel itself is spotlessly clean they work hard all day to keep to these standards the rooms are lovely also very modern the bar staff are great especially Vincent he will go out of his way to help you the only down side to this hotel is the food they really do need to sort it out it seems to be the same food recycled for both dinner and lunch it's very bland no taste to it at all it's a pity really as this could easily be a 4 star hotel if the food problem was sorterd

Nice and quitely placed mid-city hotel in Cala Millor especially late May! All - inclusive gave ok good meals and service. For football fans - TV in bar surroundings always linked til La Liga! Good contact with male staff talking about Spanish football etc. - get you quicker and better service! LOL OK clean rooms etc - but air-condition needs extra attention! My lady got the extra service from kitchen in hotel - as she is allergic to garlic etc. Perfect service from reallynice staff!

This hotel will not listen or cater for your needs,So before booking this hotel please be WARNED!!!! I Booked this holiday as my partner is disabled and wanted to take a break before all the hussle and bussle of mid season. . After a very long travel to the hotel from the airport 2.30hrs we checked in to this hotel,firstly there seemed to be no welcoming effort what's so ever .. Just as if everybody was being operated by a remote control?. acknowledged to the minimum by its staff. I rang this hotel before our arrival and explaned my partner was indeed disabled and asked for this to be taken into account,not once was it... The toilet in the bathroom for my partner was not accessible at all. After trying to explan this to the reception we were offered a different room but had to wait 2 days... So My partner Diane had to use the toilet facilities by the small pool,which were not very well cleaned and wet from swimmers.... Like most people in this review section the food is very poor and bland salad most of the time for us as this was the best option. The management of this Hotel did not want to listen to anything claiming that in 30 years he had never received any complaints,the reviews seem to prove however different?.. Diane has heart condition and also recently had knee replacement,along with hip replacement. She suffers from bronchiectasis along with rheumatoid arthritis. Before arriving I personally spoken to the hotel by phone and asked them if we would be able to have a late check out. I was told this would be no problem,well it clearly was a problem,we had to check out by 12,and given nowhere to go until are coach collection at 19.30. The manager needs customer relation training,his staff need to remember it's the customers that keep them in employment,,, A smile costs nothing,I believe in being polite to everyone ,this hotel believes in no morals what so ever... To the extent that the hotel management even refused to give me the head office details too forward my issues to... I will be writing to the highest point possible within the hotel chain and will be expecting some apology. This has to be by far the worst vacation I have ever experienced. Don't have great expectations if you are going here .. You will be disappointed. .

Blue Sea La Pinta is a 3 part hotel. There is the main hotel.A block next to to pool and an Annex block over the road. We stayed for 4 nights AI.We stopped in the Annex over the road, we where in room 12 1st floor which sat over the main entrance which had a secure coded door.So all night the door buzzed and slammed shut. There is no sound proofing and you can hear everything from apartment doors slamming, people running up and down stairs, people talking, the cleaners are in from 7am banging mop buckets and dragging furniture about, so not much quality sleep. ROOMS: Clean but basic. 2 single beds pushed together 1 socket above to headboard and 1 in the bathroom next to the sink, so it's difficult to iron clothes. no air con in our room. No kettle No fridge No hairdryer. TV . Only English speaking channel was BBC News so take a tablet if you have kids.Bathroom was small with only a shower which wasn't very powerful. There was a safe but you will have to pay extra to use it. Cleaners in everyday and change the towels. FOOD. Dining area clean but small lunchtime was really busy. Breakfast OK English (sort of) lunch consisted of pork in a sauce,white fish, pasta in a tomato sauce. Evening meal consisted of Pork in a sauce white fish pasta in a tomato sauce. Twice out of the 4 days we were there we had as a main dish BURGERS. The food to be fair is the biggest let down. POOL AREA. Was really nice, looks like it had been refurbished brand new flooring sun loungers tables and chairs.pool was small but clean. Pool side toilets were spotless No pool side entertainment but there was a lifeguard which was good to see. ENTERTAINMENT. None day or night but it was the second last week in May so still low season.(please check your months reviews) LOCATION. EXCELLENT 1 minute from the shopping,food and entertainment area and 2 minutes to the beach. TRANSFERS. 2 hours by coach from the airport last off the bus OVERVIEW. A nice clean modern hotel but with room for improvement. Would i stop here again? YES but only if the price was right and just for a short break

OK so I'm sporting my Spanish tan following a lovely stay in Cala Millor thinking about all the things that I wanted to know before I came here & thought I'd share them before next weeks trip. This hotel is top for a 3*, the staff are lovely; say hello to Vicktor he's a proper laugh & kept my sangria full. Checked in at stupid o'clock & they had a meat & cheese plate ready for my hangry self. The rooms are either poolside view or not, I was in 405 & it overlooked the road to the beach so I could see the sea from my balcony, lovely. Note for a light sleeper some rooms are adjacent to the two elevator shafts, mine was not. No big noise out the front from lorries early in my opinion. Just to be aware, the actual area is a bit German (80's karaoke bar round the corner is a proper giggle) but has that Spanglish twist for all those mentalists who fly 1500km to eat fish & chips and sit in a British theme pub. For you to note; safe & wifi costs extra (use your roaming data, signals wicked) but is free in the bar, there is no hair drier, there is a socket near the mirror in the bathroom for her GHD's (thank God) & a full length mirror in the cupboard to check her shoes match three flipping times before she changes them, defo bring a beach towel but the hotel provides hand & shower towels, there aren't many sun loungers so get your towel out there before it's colonised, pool is immaculate but the sun doesn't hit most of the solarium until 12:00 so take the short walk to the beach. Be aware two sun loungers & a parasol is €14 for the day but the parasol has a safe on it (included). The range of food is quite limited on the all inclusive but shes picky & didn't go hungry so saved me a headache, otherwise there's plenty . Had a nice mix of people here but the tour operator selling stuff set up in the lobby was directed at Germans. You can get a boat ride (I've reviewed that separately) & all sorts easily enough along the front so you don't need this. Not many sights to see in the area but that's not what you're here for. There was no entertainment on during my week here but a small stage in the bar area suggests that over the peak summer something goes on. Take ownership of your transfer, they won't get your email whatever happens. Get it booked!
