I stayed here in a single room in early August and it was lovely. I was pleasantly surprised that my room had a fantastic big balcony and sea view and enjoyed some amazing sunrises. As others say, the rooms are dated and in need of a makeover but it was clean and perfectly functional. Staff were friendly and efficient. I stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast was very good with a great selection from cooked English breakfast to cereal, continental choices and pastries. The foyer, bar and terrace areas were my favourite, really lovely place to sit and have a drink or a meal. There was entertainment either at the Pollentia or the Hoposa Uyal it's sister hotel. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe and comfortable here and would return.

We love this traditional old style hotel, which is about to undergo an extensive update, although we don't come here for the furniture! the position of this hotel on the beach, with superb views, we always pay for a sea view room , everyone is so friendly from the cleaners to the manager who is always around to greet you, the restaurant staff especially Francisco and Juan, have an amazing personality, the food is always good plentiful and varied, the hotel was amazingly clean, and we look forward to next year well done everyone

Have arrived home today after a week in Puerto Pollensa - my favourite resort on Mallorca. This year we stayed at Hotel Pollentia - last time we stayed there our son was 6 - now he's nearly 16!! Still as lovely and traditional as I remember with the best view of any of the hotels in the resort (and I've stayed at most of them). 60 seconds from room to beach! I do think however, that the bedrooms/bathrooms need a major refurb / modernising - this has happened at most of the other hotels in the Hoposa group. I understand this is happening over the winter which will really add a little extra to the holiday in terms of creature comforts! My only other suggestion is more traditional Spanish food at dinner, e.g. Paella, Chorizo more often, Patatas Bravas and more of the tapas feel rather than the big hot meat and veg style dinner. That said, there is lots of variety and salads are great. All in all, I recommend this hotel if you're a beach / water lover, who appreciates excellent service and a traditional Majorcan style bar and lounge (which I do!). And you'll also notice the prices are good value for money compared to higher standard hotels - yet in my opinion this one still has the best view and terrace with always enough outside tables for all guests. They now have a nice new swimming pool too which is small but perfect for cooling off at the end of the day and we could always get a sun lounger. Puerto Pollensa is a fabulous resort and I'm missing it already!

Well i really don't know where to start and i definitely can't understand why people return here. We arrived late in the evening. Our first night here was dreadful. I was woken at 5:45am one morning to the noise of a toilet flush and taps running. The noise was so loud i jumped up thinking there was someone in our room. We realised soon that it was a guest upstairs. Loud banging, furniture scraping and clattering continued up until around 8am. I went to complain about this and we were offered a very poor resolution. It certainly was not good enough. Not to mention the added disappointment of not having a balcony. I was stunned when i pulled the curtains (pics attached). I knew we didn't have a sea view but upon booking it didnt state that there would NOT be a balcony. The evening meal rules are very old fashioned. See attached picture of the hotel rules we were given on arrival. Due to this we had to eat out every evening. An extra cost we didnt fully expect. I don't understand why a 3star hotel should expect men to wear "full length trousers" in 32°\34° heat. The noise continued to be horrendous throughout our stay. You can hear EVERYTHING in this hotel. Walls are made of paper. The doors bang really loudly, the chatter of the maids in a morning wake you, guests at each side and/ or above you can be heard. The rooms are dingy and depressive. We had 2 single beds pushed together which made it very uncomfortable for us to sleep as a couple. The only positives about the room are. Clean. Good water pressure. The entire hotel is rather dingy and tired looking. See attached pictures.....we began to love the crap mirror. Lastly.....tea/coffee making facilities and small fridge should be in each room. I shouldn't have to pay even more additional costs to keep my water cool. And surly tea and coffee come standard? Hmmmmmm. All in all.....NEVER AGAIN. Ive needed a week to catch up on my sleep after constant disrupted sleep for a week. Zzzzzz.

As mentioned before rooms are a little basic and could do with being updated. It would be lovely if rooms had tea/coffee facilities and a fridge. However I hardly stayed in the room as was always out and about to didn't really bother me too much. I. My bed was really comfortable and was always able to get a hot shower. The location is perfect and love the fact the the sea is on your doorstep. Plenty of supermarkets, restaurants and cafes nearby. I rented a road bike which I was able to leave overnight at the hotel as they have a locked room for them so that was added bonus. I went half board as it wasn't much difference in price. I'm so glad I did. Food was lovely especially breakfast time. Plenty to choose from! All the staff are lovely and it's nice to come to a hotel where they are more than happy to help and have a smile on their face. My flight will be leaving very early 3.40am!! on Friday morning and without asking the receptionist told me they would make sure I could get a coffee and some food. I definitely come back here again.

Stayed here end of July early August with husband and 2 teenage sons. We had x2 sea view rooms with balcony, great views. Hotel very clean, rooms basic, but adequate for our needs, air conditioning good.. Pool area very quiet, and clean. Hotel staff all very friendly and courteous, reception staff very helpful. Breakfast very good, evening salad selection and cold food selection excellent, let down some evenings by the hot meal selection.

We stayed at this hotel as a large group of 7. Age range 50 years down to 15 years. The rooms are basic 3 star but the cleaning staff are fantastic. Every day the room was cleaned and left immaculate. The most important comment I can make is about the staff. This hotel is run by the best waiting staff I have ever come across. From our very first morning to our last evening we were looked after at every occasion. We must say a massive 'Thank You' to Franchesco (sorry if spelt wrong), in particular, he had such a sense of humour with all of our family. He made every meal time a special event. Jesus was also entertaining and having the two of them together, what a duo. Would go back in a heartbeat.

The hotel has an old charm about it, which is nice - though there are areas that could be improved on which I gather are happening over the winter. It has a lovely feel and to be too modernised would be a shame. Points we were disappointed with: •Our air conditioning was not as effective as our son's, who stayed in a different room. •Our toilet did not always flush which was a nuisance. •We were not expecting no kettle, so bought one in the town to use in our room. •Surprised at having to rent a fridge if we wanted one. However there are many good things about the hotel. The staff are excellent, it is clean, the food is good and the location is great. Would definitely recommend a room with a balcony though as some of the rooms don't have one - need a balcony to dry wet swimming gear! We would definitely come again.

Fantastic holiday with the family, beautiful location right on the beach, gorgeous food, stunning cocktails and amazing staff. Old Spanish traditional feel love it. Heard it's going to get updated, hope not too much! Love it the way it is! See you next year!

Fab hotel although a little dated in areas. Staff are all excellent especially Francesco the waiter and Patricia in the reception . amazing views from balcony. Ideally located to the town but far away from noise . we had a great time and will definitely go back
