We returned to Hotel Bahia again after a lovely week in 2016. We were in Puerto Pollensa to get married and stayed there with some friends and our 4 children. We really enjoyed our stay but did find that the hotel has changed somewhat and we were not as satisfied as per our previous stay. The staff were absolutely fantastic, you cannot fault the food or the level of cleanliness however, since we last visited it has become more 'profit friendly' and less 'customer friendly.' I say this because on at least two occasions were were given the wrong change after drinks (a considerable amount) and I noticed that this was happening to other parties. The same excuse was given each time 'we are only human.' I didn't want to feel the need to check our bill each time but it became necessary. We were also disappointed to hear new families checking in being offered a 10% off voucher on our last day. We were never offered this voucher and when I asked if I could purchase one I was told it was too late. This meant that our final bill was considerably higher than if we had been given the voucher, plus all the endless drinks we bought from the bar for our friends and family who came over for the wedding. I have to say that this really has put us off as we always spend considerable amounts of money in this hotel every year. However, on the day before the wedding, my dress was extremely creased and the Manager arranged for one of the domestic team to go home and get a steamer for me. They did this in their own time and allowed us to use it all day - extremely kind and generous. I was very grateful to them. Surprisingly, on the day of the wedding, with all the guests gathered outside and ready to walk through the town we were not even offered a glass of bubbly to celebrate with the hotel. The wedding party pulled in lots of people and I thought it would have been a nice touch for the photographs if this had been done. It does sound like I'm moaning, but those are the little touches that make people return and return.
Location couldn't be better, approx. 8 feet from the beach, with a terrace on the beach (what more do you want?) Staff great very helpful, nothing too much trouble for them and they all speak English. Food excellent and ample - breakfasts a superb buffet. Rooms not luxurious but absolutely fine for all purposes; beds very comfortable. All prices are very sensible. All in all a win/win.
Back from my sixth stay, once again the stress level is down, the energy level is up and the wish to come back soon is present. This hotel provides a quiet environment combined with a super location - not near the beach - but in fact ON the beach. Here you meet kindness, respect and joy.
We have just returned from another stay at the Bahia and as always, we were delighted with the high quality of service, excellent buffet breakfast and clean, comfortable rooms. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, old and new, helped to make our holiday most enjoyable, as always.Particular thanks to new manager Nadal, reception manager Esti and her colleague Miguel for their efficient assistance. Last but by no means least, special thanks to restaurant/bar manager Francisco, Matius, Manolin, Fernando and the new team members for their warm welcome and consistently friendly, attentive service. We would not choose anywhere else in Puerto Pollensa for our holidays in Majorca and are already looking forward to our return in 2018. Ann & Brian
We have just returned from a fabulous holiday in Puerto Pollensa staying at the Hoposa Bahia. First of all the service is excellent, the staff are friendly and helpful this always helps to make your holiday much more enjoyable. The hotel is small, the location is at the start of the pine walk so a little quieter but still central and right on the beach. There is no parking but just 5 mins away you will find street parking we had no problem with this but it was the last couple of weeks of the season in Puerto Pollensa. We were able to drive to the rear of the hotel to pick up cases etc when we left as the streets were very quiet at 6am. The resrurante is very popular and was busy every night we were there, we chose to eat dinner just 1 night . I was disappointed with the chicken and left it , I think it was more down to the quality of the chicken rather than the flavours or the way it was cooked. I did try to explain but rubbery chicken just didn’t translate. I wouldn’t let this put you off as they have more fish and steak dishes on the menu so I just put it down to the poor choice for me. The breakfast was good with a variety of cooked and continental choices , meats, cheeses, fruits , breads and pastries, I was able to order freshly baked gluten free bread which was really good and worth the 10 min wait. Room service was daily and I was more than happy with the room and the cleanliness. There is a lift service and I noticed that they have a wheel chair permanently available in the hotel ( unless this belonged to a guest) There are steps into the hotel both at the back and front , there are not many however I found them to be quiet deep so I was careful as I have some mobility challenges. Overall decor is pleasant and inviting with a bar area inside as well as seating outside although it is worth noting seating in the restaurant area is only available to diners during main meal times. Overall I would be happy to return, the servis and location are fantastic and I would recommend to others.
My wife and I keep going back to this friendly place year after year. Position cannot be beaten – a few yards from the beach. Reception, room maids, bar and restaurant staff are very polite and helpful at all times. Food is very good (but need to book for the popular times), also their breakfast gives a perfect start to the day. in a nutshell – it is simplicity personified – a superb no nonsense hotel.
We have just returned from our second stay at The Bahia Hotel in Port de Pollença. Small but perfect is how I would describe both the position and the rooms. Everything is provided that you need and the view from the sea view rooms is unrivalled. The breakfast buffet is beautifully arranged and is good fresh food. You can eat it on the terrace or on the beach side decking while you admire the scenery. The perfect position in Port de Pollença to stay.
This is our second visit to "our place" in 2017 and, as always, it was great to be "home"! My wife and I have been staying at the Bahia for a number of years and are never disappointed. From our arrival and Esti on reception you know that you are welcome. Francesco and all the bar/restaurant work their socks off to ensure you enjoy your break. The hotel is not the largest or swankiest BUT it is clean and comfortable. There are only 30+ rooms so it is not overrun. The terrace whether for breakfast (which is amazing) lunch or dinner is great for the view into town or just people watching! We are already booked for 2018, so, see you all in May!!!
Because it faces the beach (not an actual street) it will drive the GPS crazy. But parking on a street behind, and walking is not difficult. The other side of the coin: the beachfront promenade is a very pleasant stroll, by hotels, shops, etc. We knew that breakfast was include with the room, but WOW. Biggest buffet ever! And they will even fix you an omelet to order.
A delightful stylish boutique hotel modernised not long ago. Terrific location right on the beach pretty much at the start of the fabled pine walk with critically no traffic running in front of the hotel. Room ticked all the boxes, lovely balcony, good air con, comfy bed, good hanging space, safe and fridge. And a fabulous beachside setting for one of the best buffet breakfasts we have had for a long while. Professional, friendly, efficient staff. Lots of guests seemed regulars. So maybe book early. Check out the restaurant reviews for casual lunch or more formal dinner. We ate well.
