Very friendly staff rooms cleaned every day.Breakfast very good.pool area was very clean and gardens very good with sun canopy beds.Would recommend this hotel would be very good for families.Would return to hotel.
this hotel has been modernized, the rooms are new and clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We stayed for a 4 day all inclusive break. The food was excellent, alot of choice, all the food fresh and hot.Show cooking every evening, and omlettes for breakfast made to order.Entertainment every other evening outside, for May this was a bonus. The pool area outside had an abundance of sunbeds as well as the 4 poster relaxing area. The only down side was this was close to a busy road, unfortunately nothing can be done for this,as the pool is situated here,so the sun shines on it all day. There is also an inside pool and spa, with a gym area. Ca,n Picafort is a nice resort with along beach and promenade. The sea is shallow great for families. It is predomiantly German but this didn't concern us as most peole speak English. Overall we had a fantastic short break and would certainly return in the future,Thank you Hotel Montecarlo!
We stayed here for 3 nights, room was lovely and clean with a sea view, food was excellent, only complaint was you had to go to pool bar to get drinks, staff were helpful, nice area near shops and beach.
Spent 10 nights here in April as a package deal with lastminute.com. Very happy with the cost to value ratio. I could have got a cheaper package deal but decided I wanted a better hotel with better food and service. The hotel was spotlessly clean inside and out, room was attended and linen changed daily. Staff were fine and able to communicate in English to the most extent bearing in mind the majority of guests were German. Food was plentiful and excellent quality. The spa facilities were excellent but bear in mind the Germans tend to use the facility in the nude as part of their culture. There was plenty of shopping nearby if you need something and if you're into cycling there are two cycle hire shops just outside the door. Knocking off a point due to the pool being divided from the main property by a side road. The photo of the pool looks like it's part of the complex but it is actually separate from the property and you have to cross a road. Also on one morning during breakfast the gaffer waiter said something about 'just one' in an abrupt fashion which I found a bit rude considering he didn't explain what he meant. I'm assuming he meant one coffee but I really don't know because he was unable to explain in clear English and so he shouldn't have said anything.
We stayed here for a week in August on half board. The food was fantastic and I am slightly annoyed that we didn't go for all inclusive as there was so much to eat and being a vege there was a variety of things I could have! The hotel was quiet even though it is in the centre. Staff were friendly. Entertainment in the evenings could be better.
Spent a week at this hotel in early August. From the minute we arrived (1.30am) we were greeted by a very friendly English speaking receptionist, who offered us tea/coffee/juice or water as all other Hotel services were closed; he also advised of hotel services, breakfast time etc etc. Next morning, breakfast was an experience - as well as the traditional cooked breakfast assortment of dishes there was a vast array of juices, cereals, cheeses, cold meats, fruit, breads and pastries (even smoked salmon and sparkling Cava some mornings). The Hotel bedroom was spotlessly clean as were the public areas and corridors. Whilst the hotel pool is just accross a small road, there was little traffic as the road was really only used for guest parking. The pool and pool bar was again spotlessly clean and well managed by a lifeguard/pool attendant who ensured that the sunbeds were not reserved when not in use. We witnessed him on a number of occasions folding towels which had been placed on loungers which were not currently in use and carefully placing them to the side; ashtrays and drinks glasses/cups were cleared regularly. Our package was Bed & Breakfast only (our preference) so that we can explore the local restaurants and enjoy the Mallorcan cuisine so we didn't eat in the hotel each evening - but we regularly viewed the themed evening menus which looked very interesting and appetising. Service from Reception, Food & Bar Service and Housekeeping staff was professional, helpful and friendly. The Hotel is well situated in Can Picafort, close to the town centre but on the outskirts, we did not experience any traffic or party revellers noise in our room whatsoever. The local Restaurants and bars are lovely, just like the hotel - staff were all professional and friendly The local beach and promenade is clean and ideal for families - one downside was that swimming was not permitted on a couple of days as there were heavy seas and strong currents. It should be noted that as our return journey home was not until late evening and checkout was noon it was not possible to arrange a late check out however we were offered luggage storage, shower and changing facilities in the hotels (spotless) leisure complex - this was very much appreciated. In summing up the Hotel was perfect for our holiday and we could not find anything that we could have complained about.
Grupotel Montecarlo offers a comfortable stay in the central location of Can Picafort. Tasty food with a great choice everyday, cleanliness of rooms and of the hotel overall made our stay really enjoyable. Staff were friendly, communication in English was easy. Ask for a room with a sea view, I am guessing your sleep could be disturbed by the noise coming from the main road if your room is facing the pool. If you choose all inclusive beware of the main road directly by the bar and the pool, also slightly disturbing the entertainment in the evening even with lower traffic. What we loved about the hotel was the close distance to all the restaurants and pubs (50 meters in a straight line to the beach), easy access to the main roads, as we rented a car for the whole duration of our stay this was noticeable when going out and coming in. We love discovering different placed every day. Can Picafort offers a great beach, however the one close by, really pretty with shallow, even warm waters and pine trees is Playa de Muro. Port Alcudia will kill you with the heat, no breeze and smelly water as it is the end of bay. There is no official car park by the hotel, but parking every day was easy, just needed to drive around in the streets around itl. The only downsides are the location near a very busy road (if you wanted to stay much at the pool) and not a very wide offer on the entertainment. Luckily the choice of pubs and restaurants is very close, so you can always walk down the street and spend an evening there. However after a couple of days you might get bored with them as the resort is not massive, but close to busier places like Alcudia if you fancy something different. Overall we could not complain about anything, however if like us you are used to having breakfast outside, greenery around the hotel, you should know that due to the hotel's central town location, there is a lot of concrete around and the hotel does not have anything around itself other than the building itself and the pool area with the bar (you need to come out of the hotel, cross a narrow not busy at all street and come up the stairs to get to the pool and the bar- not a massive inconvenience, but not spotted when booked the holiday). Before the holiday I read a few reviews about the food being German orientated and too many Germans staying at the hotel. The food was ranging between continental, Spanish and even had a Chinese evening. I really do not understand people complaining about such a pity things, if someone goes on holiday expecting food from their own country then they are really wrong! The hotel did their very best to delivery all sorts of food for breakfast and dinner. Mallorca is generally dominated by Germans and there is nothing wrong with that. The whole Europe comes there for holidays and the point of visiting other countries in my opinion is to try local food and enjoy their way of life. Overall a great place for stay, with wonderful food and helpful staff. We did not stay much at the hotel during the day, but like us you want to be in a great location, with eacy access to going around the island, try this place!
Very clean, all staff very helpful and polite. Food very good with plenty of choice. hotel well situated for beaches ,shops and buses. each night the dinners are from different countries i.e. Arab night, Spanish night, BBQ night, Mexican Night, and every Saturday a Gala night. The service in was very good and the food is freshly cooked.
I went along with friends on a cycling trip in April, 2016. Overall I had a totally positive stay at hotel Monte Carlo - clean rooms, excellent service and food. The one downside for me was the fact that men were walking around naked at the indoor pool, not my cup of tea and I felt very uncomfortable and was glad that I hadn't any children in my care - think this issue needs addressed thank you.
Just back from a 10 night stay at this hotel & felt compelled to come back & after travelling all over the world write my first trip advisor review. Having booked late & this being the only 4* hotel left available I was a little apprehensive as NO review had been left for here since 2014... Alarm bells really should have rang then!! Plus points - nicely decorated, clean rooms if alittle small & cramped (baffled as to why you'd have a nice dressing table area but no mirrors on the walls!!)... Nice bathroom with good shower & complementary toiletries. Can Pickafort is a predominantly German resort & we had no problems with that whatsoever, if you can turn a blind eye to their chain smoking & their inability to queue you'll be fine however.... This hotel is packed to the rafters with young loud Germans cigarette in mouth bombing in the pool all day without a thought to my two young daughters. Signs around the hotel state " no reserving sunbeds" but one morning we witnessed a German couple placing towels on 11 of the twentish sunbeds available (no joke). Safe to say we lasted approx 25 minutes around the pool & then never bothered going again. The receptionists seemed polite & friendly but spoke very little, broken English, it took 3 attempts by both myself & my husband to try & explain that the air conditioning in our room was intermittent & temperamental & could they please send somebody's to look at it. The vacant stares & polite nods basically told us what we already knew... Yep nobody ever attended our room. If you want a relaxing, friendly, quiet holiday then this hotel is definitely not the one. It's a very poor 4* & there are much better places to stay in the resort.
